stevendc83 it is really sad seeing newspapers fading away but what can we do the times have changed paper itself is becoming irrelevant because of digital devices we just have to try to adjust to the new technology because it will never go away.

Interesting video. Thanks for showing us the old stereotype. Sorry that this plant closed, but glad that the newspaper is continuing to print. One big question (from a retired printer) - what was that scene in the beginning, with all of the colors on one plate? That isn't how 4 color happens on an offset press. Was that just done for effect?

Same here. My background is offset lithography printing, and I couldn't figure that out either.

Another cost cutting move made by an out of town corporate owner.

Bittersweet indeed. I loved that old press and the smell.

Cyn AngeLee I agree my dad still works at a newspaper place he’s been there for 47 years now and was just recently sent to another paper place because the place he worked at just recently shut down the production so now that place is just for writing now they no longer print the paper the only bad thing is now the press and the other machines will just sit there and not get any use which is really a shame especially how much money those machines costed.
