I actually clapped along at home at that final shot, love this channel Stephen and the gem after gem you bring us with every video. Brilliant work by the filmers and editors too.
What a final shot and what a frame
@@cjg28 crazy, it would take 10 goes to make contact!
I was like, what the heck is he doing and then stunned when he pocketed the black. What a fantastic shot. Had to rewind to enjoy it again. Great video too.
Haha, I just applauded that final shot too, watching by myself...😅
how to still win when you loose
thats the scotts all over lol
Hendry’s shot at the end was like look you young whipper snappers I’m still the 🐐 💁🏼♂️😂👏🏻
He's still got it
@@joesretrostuff definitely 💯
The way he just stepped up and shot it perfectly, no elaborate set up or anything. Always incredible to see
I grew up in Bree, close to Luca’s hometown. When I was a student at Leuven University in the nineties, I used to go and watch the Crucible games in the student house’s owner’s kitchen. The owner, Jeff, was in his seventies, also from the same province in the east, and a huge snooker fan. When I knocked on his kitchen door, I was always greeted the same way: “there’s beer and snooker, you’ve chosen the best place!”. We both fell in love with the game of that young Scotsman who was destroying everyone. Watching this now slightly older Scotsman play with our young local hero, in our home province, is such a delight. Only wish Jeff had lived to see Luca play and win the WC.
The first 40 points by Brecel was magical, esp 3:20. Then Hendry at the end - that's why he's 7 times world champ
Damn, he became 7 time world champ by playing 3 cushion trick shots in the finals?! ;)
@@vincentvdw3990He didn’t mean it literally, you doughnut
@@stigstig9275 Wow! Really? Are you sure?
@@vincentvdw3990what a 🛎️ end you are
Just a cynical little weirdo
Looked like he put no effort into it at all aswel 😂😂
The Black at the end was shear Class Stephen!
You only took a second to pick your line as well. Unbelievable exhibition shot for the crowd 🙏.
Brecel is pure class, just a regular guy, doesn't take things too serious and that's what other players are afraid of most I think!!! And wow Stephen what a black!!! A great interview and a cool frame of snooker!!!
If you only listened to the press about Luca Brecel, you'd think he was a party-boy who doesn't practise and doesn't love snooker. Thanks to these interviews you find out that he's actually quite introverted, doesn't practise but loves snooker! 😂
Great content as always, team 👏
He’s introvert indeed.
I played league snooker here in Belgium back in the day when he was 13-14 and word went around that he was (a bit) authistic. If that is true I think he just learned to live with it. Not liking parties and such is typical for introverts and authistic people.
@@dekoener485 Shame almost everyone is put on that autistic spectrum now. Compared to most people in my family, he seem quite normal. None of us are diagnosed😂
@@sharpvidtube Same here. A bunch of ADD nutcases.
Moral of the story....
Don't believe everything you see in the press 😂
@@sharpvidtube For some reason all this mental illness stuff, though very good and important in real cases, has been taken too far into almost like a fashion statement thing now. People just love to label an box off themselves and everyone else for some reason these days. Everyone is different, that's just life, and you can be introverted and not feel forced to like partys and nonsense like that without everyone ganging up on you trying to label you "autistic". Anyone who's ever known a genuinely autistic person knows that's nonsense.
Brecel is beast of a player, known for making the most impossible shots on snooker table
What great insight
Sounds like you’re writing a CV mate
@@haroldb6773lol well played
Gerald Brooks was a beast of a player, known for his fangs, claws, wings and great sense of humour.
So Hendry pays tribute to Brecel taking on the crazy hard shots with that black at the end. Love it.
That black was brilliant... really brilliant 👏👏👏👏
Can't wait to see brecel attempt the tough table challenge.😊
nothing tougher than the STEPHEN LEE tough table!
Love this guy’s humbleness and sheer gall. Also brought out the best in Stephen as well during the play. This is such an amazing channel and something I couldn’t have imagined as a 90s kid watching Hendry play
Good comment, agree 👍
I like that he also twigs Stephen's 'talk when they're aiming' trick and throws it back at him
Luca sounds like he gives himself time to miss the game so when he does play he can really enjoy it more
Another great guest! Luca is a breath of fresh air . Some of the "exhibition" snooker he showed us at The Crucible was like nothing I've ever seen.
I love wee Luca. You can just tell he likes the snooker but hates all the fame crap that comes with it. As would I. What a great bloke he is. Never change Luca.
So refreshing to see a casual, well adjusted, non-obsessive snooker player. The exception who proves the rule!
Just reminds me of the Eden Hazard of Snooker. His chill attitude on and off the table with incredible talent. Hope he wins more.
he reminds me of Dennis Wise, another Chelsea stalwart.
And he is Belgian
The Hazard of Chelsea and not Madrid 😂
he's not the kinda guy who likes practice either 😅😅
Similar physique too😂
That final black was absolute filth, Stephen!
Great stuff as always.
That shot at the end 👏👏👏
Really cool that Stephen came to Belgium.
I adore these. Hendry is such a great interviewer. Holds his own against the world champ.
This was brilliant! Luca is such a chill guy and Hendry's last shot was class!
Last shot was amazing. Stephen you will always be the best in my eyes 👍
Holy Mother -- What a final shot - what a great frame. The best Snooker channel on CZcams for sure
Luca seems like such a genuinely, nice guy. Hope he breaks the Crucible curse. Some great pots by the Stephen. He’s still got it. That last black was something else.
how did he lose that British Open qualifier to Muhammed Asif? If he'd played like he did against Luca he'd have walked it.
The Golden Crucible vs The Belgian Cueball. Great stuff!
How amazingly humble he is man.. qualities of a true champion and man in general 👌
What a shot of the black! Amazing!
What a fantastic shot at the end😮😮😮
Cracking black at the end! Great video yet again, you still have the ability to qualify for the world's next year. Come on Stephen one last Hurrah for old times sake, and an 8th title.
What a final shot from Hendry !!!
Brilliant. Never lose it Stephen.
That shot in the end. ❤️❤️
What a brilliant shot on the final black. More so, what a lovely fella Luca is!
👏 👏 👏 that last black was special
Final shot was superb 🍓
That was fantastic. Luca a lovely lad. Used to hate Stephen when he was playing but great at this and in the commentary box. Always has something interesting to say, never boring
Yea for some reason a lot never took to him as a player back in the 90’s . How that has changed. Huge respect to Hendry for all he has given the sport and still does with his commentary and this great channel. Top bloke.
Wow that last black , Stephan’s still got it , great interview
I loved hearing from Luca. I didn't know much about him until now. It was good to hear his philosophy.
Nice final shot Hendry.
Absolutely superb.... He has a special talent if he doesn't need to practice.... That last shot was unreal....
This is fantastic. Thank you, Stephen!
Great final shot on the black. Hendry still has it. Luca played great in the World Championship. I loved all those double bank shots he pulled off. Very entertaining.
Stephen's last shot has to be one of the greatest shots I've ever seen. I've seen a few over the years but that was awesome. Thanks.Stephen. Thanks Luca.
Alot of luck in that shot but it was still brilliant.
For me this is easily the best frame/interview yet. Well-done, Stephen!
Stephen Hendry Sir You are an absolute Legend...salute to you
You just have to love Hendry...
Gosh such a big name yet so humble and open to sharing.... I could watch him all day long..
Some may disagree but he is one of the most amazing commentators as well. He brings all his experience with him in the commentary room and it is just a pleasure to listen to him speak about snooker.
Thank you Sir for your service to this beautiful game of Snooker.. all the players that pick up a cue are indebted to you in a way..
He's an excellent commentator. Only speaks when he's got something which adds to the play rather than thinking he needs to fill every space with whatever thought is crossing his brain.
Plus, he tells the truth when players make poor decisions and bad shots, etc. Most of the commentators seem afraid too.
That shot at the end
Another absolute gem of a video , Stephen you really have found your niche , you are turning out to be as good an interviewer as you were champion snooker player !
That last shot wow
Fantastic! Playing Luca Brecel brought out some fabulous shots from Stephen! I still think back to that fantastic World Championship and all the great matches. What an achievement by him, to win it in that style. One of the highlights of my 40 years of watching snooker.
His shots are so crisp, what a final shot! Incredible
This showed me why I've always loved Stephen Hendrys game 👍
Hope you get Luca to do the tough table challenge as well!
Showing off the class he still holds at the end
Fantastic!!
brilliant luca and stephen
Steven Hendry - absolute class act! brilliant.
Mr Stephen Hendry.......you are an absolute asset to the world of snooker. I have enjoyed every episode of this fabulous series. Please keep them coming!
The endings very unbelievable 🎉
Hendry showing hes still that legend
That last shot... He's STILL got it! 👏🏻 There's a reason they call him The King of The Crucible
Looks like that was hard for you Stephen. Great props to handling the situation very well! Such a natural
Just what snooker needed. Luca winning the worlds and hendry with these interviews. Brilliant!
Great lads Luca & Stephen
Its great to see snooker give stephen so much joy after those quiet few years what a man he is
That was great. Great chat, fun game. Thank you!
superb interview with Luca, played some absolutely world class snooker at the Crucible, wish him well for this season, cheers Stephen
Very exciting to watch, I hope he can be reasonably consistent in the next years.
The sport gains a lot from the flare players.
Loved that final shot!
🌻
Luca is such a gifted player and a pleasure to watch, makes snooker exciting, not careful, fearless!Love it !🤯🤯👊🦾🦾🦾
Not saying he’s bad but if you want excitement just go watch pool lol. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being careful.
That last shot from Hendry 😮🤦🏼♂️👌🏻 amazing
That shot at the end Stephen never lose it .🔥😂
that was one of the best trick shots ever! 20:58
One of your best episodes ever, Stephen, it was like watching two mates passing time at the club. The shot at the end was a cracker and finished the show perfectly. Thanks.
a true gentleman letting you win steve.
What a shot at the end!
Love these videos every Sunday! Would love to see Phil Taylor on here - two giants of their sports having a conversation would be great
Brecel, What a player!! If he keeps his confidence, he can and will stay at the top. More importantly though, Stephen playing the best I've seen in quite some time. He's not over thinking things, just getting down a playing the shots like he did when he was young. As the Mandalornian's say "This is the way" Go on Stephen!!!
Beautiful conversation
Vintage Hendry. Fabulous😊
Breath of fresh air with his attitude, great finish btw 👍🏻
I love it!!! made me think of all the people who said snooker must be in a quiet atmosphere, it is possible to play socialize and also enjoy the sport, even at the highest levels, no better way to put someone like the world champion at ease and do an interview. I imagine that he enjoyed playing on the first table he ever played on. Priceless
Wow, just wow! That final shot.. i actually watched that shot 4 times after. Excellent shot Stephen.. Keep great content rolling in. 🙏
What a brilliant shot to finish that frame. 👏🏻
Finally some representative potting from Stephen. The long balls are impressive, but now the safeties and angles are too. Great to have a crowd watching for a change.
Luca was such an incredible story at Sheffield. Magnificent win!
Luca is a top man! I'm a fan for sure
There’s just something about Luca that makes him compelling. I always want British people to win and on any other occasion I’d have been fully behind Mark Selby, but this year I was shouting for the Belgian! Great video Stephen, reinforces my feelings about the pair of you. ❤
Brilliant! Luca is the most likeable player ever. Still grinning from that last black.
There's only one Stephen Hendry!!! GOAT!
2 laid back legends
Awwwwww what a black at the end for hendo , that’s up there no question 🙋♂️😎
Really love this channel! Huge Snooker and Stephen Hendry fan, so getting a channel with regular content is great! ❤
Great to see, Wishing Brecel all the best for the new season and he needs to get back making vids for his own youtube channel
I can relate to Luca's "no practice" thing. Its a good argument for naturally talented players vs players that have learned the game, techniques etc. I'm an average club player, have never really practiced, just built up experience over time. I'm 50 years old, hadn't played for 3 weeks, chucked the balls on the table and made a 104 last week. Some guys enjoy the robotic practice, regimental style, striving for perfection etc, natural guys just have a "flow and feel". Looking forward to this season, I think we are about to see a shake up in the top 16 and a few players get a wake up call.
Been watching these episodes for less than a week and I’m already getting anxious that they’re going to run out! Grew up watching most of the guests
Wow. What a way to end a game. I think even Luca was surprised at that coming off. 👏👏👏👏👏
Great video - two of my favourite players, a generation apart, but both masters of the game. I love Luca’s laid back attitude. Let’s hope he becomes World Champion a few more times 👍
I don't think I've ever seen a less genuine apology, absolutely brilliant 🤣
What a great guy and someone who knows himself so well without bowing to convention. Excellent channel Steve, more please…
Fantastic final black Stephen. Lovely chat as ever. Luca is so laid back.
I’ll be cheering for Luca at the worlds, brilliant post Stephen
Brilliant...
