FYI: The Basenor filters are about the same price directly from the company AND it comes with not only the tool to remove the filter plate but also the pry tool to remove the side panel.

The service center only charged me $45 for this service. Compared to the cost of the 2 filters and the cleaner it’s about the same as having Tesla do it.

Why basener is better than Tesla ones? Also, where is the second filter? You showed removing only one I think.

Because I have the model Y with Bio-defense mode…would it be ok to use the Hepa filters or just use the OEM? Does it matter?

It doesn't matter, but to be clear, the vehicle does have 2 different sets of filters. The cabin filters and the Hepa air intake filters located in the frunk.

Yes but was concerned that the cabin filters need to be OEM and not HEPA cause the HVAC working harder

I haven't noticed a difference at all of it working harder. We just went through a summer over 100 degrees for 3 straight months and it worked perfectly fine.

Thats true, hepa just ads more resistence to airflow. ​just stik to OEM parts.@@Joebb76

When removing the filters did you think that you could still remove them without removing the dash cover plate?

I think it will be difficult if you don't remove the dash cover panel. I have seen other years/models that have a screw on the top of the filter cover. Which is why you would need to remove the panel.
