Martin Mitchell -- Absolutely ! No one has that perfect, smooth, able to go so seamlessly from high note to falsetto, and you cannot even tell,; and also a strong and deep voice, as this man...
Americans don't appreciate Jeff Lynne enough. Jeff is an absolute musical magician. His voice, his writing, his mastery of sound... Thanks Jeff. I grew up with ELO and your various projects. Im a better and more musical person because of what you taught me when listening to your works.
I beg to differ. I've been a lifetime fan. Funny enough a young generation is appreciating ELO from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Better late than never I suppose.
He also had a similar experience with Tom Petty when he brought over ukuleles to play together... :) And then, George left Tom Petty with many ukuleles; he had a boot full of them in his car, according to Tom...
George was devoted to Tom, and hero-worshipped Dylan. Because I adore George, I'm delighted that he got to play with the hero of his youth and include the excellent musicians of his day
I have had this thought through the years - no matter who you are, whether Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson even, or any possible musician you can think of - there are always, ALWAYS four guys that are in front of you, today, tomorrow and forever. Those bums!!!!! :) FABS4EVER
Jeff Lynne, what a beautiful person inside and out, I’m a fairly recent fan, love his voice and guitar work and all his involvement in ELO and the Travelling Willburys,
Talk about two peas in a pod. I'm so glad they became good "mates". So much alike. Talented, humble, adorable, down to earth. Love those guys. Miss George so much
Jeff Lynne is so humble, in my eyes probably the best musician in the world! He has every base covered im so grateful I grew up with ELO they were always there when I needed them the most. The music got me through so many changes in life! God Bless and peace on earth!
That made me get a bit weepy. It's always a joy to watch a Jeff Lynne interview. I can always picture him as a small kid. Meaning he still seems to have an innocence and humbleness about him. Thanks for all of the gorgeous music Jeff!
I've always loved Jeff Lynn going all the way back to ELO! He is one of the most talented guys walking the Earth. He plays so many different instruments, has produced so many fantastic albums! No wonder him and George we're best friends!
The Creation of The Travelling Willburys. Only the likes of George Harrison could have pulled off those greats coming together, dropping their own individual egos, to create that vol. 1 masterpiece.
I think George’s singing on “Handle with Care” is the best of his career. He said in an interview that Jeff Lynn had such a good voice that he (George) was inspired to sing his very best for the Wilburys. Not to mention that Roy Orbison was there too.
Jeff Lynne is so talented and modest at the same time. The best overall musician we have ever known said Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, George Harrison and so many other Music Legends...
Petty said that at Jeff's Hollywood Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony speech, it's on CZcams. I'm not aware of Harrison or Walsh saying it--although we obviously know they hold Jeff in very high esteem. Please provide links to Harrison and Walsh saying it. And you also said many other music legends have said it about Jeff. Who?
TheFlowerthiefMusic - I noticed that as well while watching the video. When I first heard Free As A Bird, it immediately hit me that George was inserting his love of Ukes…
WOW THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF FOOTAGE AMAZING 🥰 JEFFE LYNNE YOU ARE A WONDERFUL FUNNY MAN AND GEORGE HARRISON THERE AREN'T ENOUGH WORDS ❤️🦋🌈 RIP GEORGE HARRISON ANOTHER LEGEND ❤️🦋🌈
When these guys were young, particularly Harrison, George Formby was a huge star in England with his banjo uke. George was a passionate collector of ukuleles. I have a friend who worked for Mandolin Brothers in New York years ago when Harrison came in one day, just by himself, and played several ukes, buying a couple. No big deal, just a Beatle in the freaking store! Banjo ukes are just what they sound like - banjos tuned like ukuleles.
I have had numerous dreams that I am talking with Jeff. Interviewing, going on short tours thru his home studio (fictionalized of course) and even helping on mixing projects! Strange that I never have dreams with any other musicians or composers -- etc. I still wish I could meet him someday.
When you get right down to it, George Harrison was the humblest Beatle, always ready to give; Jeff Lynne is so tremendously multifaceted. Even Macca complimented him once.
Good friends sharing the joy of life and happiness together, timeless and as classic to me as any of either of their individual work in music. Just sharing man, we need more friends to share these kind of times with. Cherish what you have and the time we get to spend with those we care for so much. Blessings to these guys for the example of it. Thanks for this video, its therapy to the soul.
Gracias por compartir y darnos a conocer este vídeo, de estos 2 grandes artistas irrepetibles, únicos y su música extraordinaria, se ve que se llevan de maravilla, George rip 🙏, y larga vida para Jeff.😍
Jeff Lynne is the most talented Music God ever. He will be 71 in 2018 and his voice is Gold. All his live concerts sound as good if not better than the original recordings...Not many bands and musicians can match that. Just have a listen from Jeff Lynne's ELO at Wembley Stadium June 24 2017... Can't wait to see Jeff Lynne's ELO on the 2018 Europe and North American Tour. I just received my tickets for LA , NY and Toronto Canada. It will be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imagine bringing Bob Dylan and Tom Petty to your house for a bbq and saying hey how about Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne George struck absolute gold by being a breezy guy It's alright don't worry just Flow ;; Wilburys RiP
Jeff , with a wall of gold and platinum records behind him , being a bit uneasy going to George’s spread to play ukulele’s . 🤣 I have a friend -Chris Trapper -who is one of the greatest ukulele players ! RIP George , sorely missed.
Jeff comes across as such an ordinary down to earth, humble, guy. Ordinary or not as a person, he is a phenomenal talent.
Martin Mitchell -- Absolutely ! No one has that perfect, smooth, able to go so seamlessly from high note to falsetto, and you cannot even tell,; and also a strong and deep voice, as this man...
What can I say? George Harrison was one of a kind. Miss him very much. May he rest in peace forever.
Amen 🙏
It's physically impossible to not smile when you see two great friends enjoying their company....friends, not legends. Just. Friends.
Americans don't appreciate Jeff Lynne enough. Jeff is an absolute musical magician. His voice, his writing, his mastery of sound... Thanks Jeff. I grew up with ELO and your various projects. Im a better and more musical person because of what you taught me when listening to your works.
Jeff has had so much love since Touring again...ALL HIS TOURS HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT in America and in Europe.
❤️❤️
My favorite artist of all time.
I beg to differ. I've been a lifetime fan. Funny enough a young generation is appreciating ELO from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Better late than never I suppose.
100%
Jeff is one of the few "secret sauce" guys in the history of rock. The public in general is probably not aware of him but musicians certainly are.
Absolutely. He's the go-to-man if you need someone to work on your music, and get it done properly. He's one of my favourite musicians
Everyone of a certain age knows about him what are you talking about
I am aware of him and I am not a musician!
@@JonathanReynolds1I know a lot of people who don't know who he is. I also know people who are familiar with his work
Jesus was perfect. Jeff Lynne comes in second. ❤
So sad that we couldn’t hold on to George longer. Him and Jeff are so precious together
Jamie Russell-Satterfield a pair of mates a pair of legends
He. Him is an object.
Stop treating him like an object...
@@MrDennisn1 It's 'Stop treating HE like an object'. :-D
So true. What a combination and wasn't George a wonderful man. Totally relaxed.
I miss George. What a great spirit.
I think Jeff Lynne gave George some of his best moments musically..You can really see George blossoming when Jeff was around...Dig that!
He also had a similar experience with Tom Petty when he brought over ukuleles to play together... :) And then, George left Tom Petty with many ukuleles; he had a boot full of them in his car, according to Tom...
Absolutely beautiful connection between Jeff, George and Tom…Jeff and Roy were good friends as well…Jeff is a humble badass
George was devoted to Tom, and hero-worshipped Dylan. Because I adore George, I'm delighted that he got to play with the hero of his youth and include the excellent musicians of his day
There's something absolutely endearing about a musical genius like Jeff Lynne
being star struck by another musician.
That last 15 seconds playing Something with the George Formby ending is classic. How can you not love Jeff Lynne - such an unassuming man.
"Hi, I'm Beatle Jeff"
“I used to be Arthur, y’know, but they made me change the name.” These two have amazing chemistry, I died at this part.
(Fortuitous) The Traveling WIllbury's
@@verticalfishYou died? 🤔
Jeff Lynne is the most humble musician that ever existed. 🙏

I admire and love Jeff so much!
Gotta go with George!
Jeff and George are both so talented and yet so humble and down to earth!
George was very talented
I think Jeff looked up to George like a big older brother who he admired and respected dearly.
Jeff was star struck meeting George but my Lord I hope he knows how much of a rock God he is in his own right.
George used to always take 2 ukes around with him on the off-chance he'd meet someone who could play, and they could have a jam.
Two legends of the music industry, loved the stuff they did together in the travelling wilburys. RIP George.
I have had this thought through the years - no matter who you are, whether Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson even, or any possible musician you can think of - there are always, ALWAYS four guys that are in front of you, today, tomorrow and forever. Those bums!!!!! :) FABS4EVER
two guys with solid gold vocals.

Jeff Lynne, what a beautiful person inside and out, I’m a fairly recent fan, love his voice and guitar work and all his involvement in ELO and the Travelling Willburys,

Blessed that Jeff is still here and making music..
Makes me smile. Friends making music together--can't get much better than that.
That made me get a bit weepy. It's always a joy to watch a Jeff Lynne interview. I can always picture him as a small kid. Meaning he still seems to have an innocence and humbleness about him. Thanks for all of the gorgeous music Jeff!
Out of the many things that Jeff and George had in common, one of the best was that they were both just very likable human beings.
Who could not love Jeff ?
Jeff Lynne is so awesome. I liked his music before but to hear him in interviews is even better
I've always loved Jeff Lynn going all the way back to ELO! He is one of the most talented guys walking the Earth. He plays so many different instruments, has produced so many fantastic albums! No wonder him and George we're best friends!
