Resident Utahan here. Utah is a culture shock! People do cut themselves off from having fun 100%. People a much more aware of how they are perceived by others. And you might be thinking of not being able to buy alcohol or even wine at the grocery store or on Sundays. We used to not be able to buy beer on Sundays.

From Utah. Noelle is right it's one of the biggest cultural bubbles you could find. And Cody's point there is a state liquor store with limited hours and the only way to purchase liquor. Restaurants have laws where you can only serve a person one drink at a time. You can't be served a shot if you currently have a drink etc

Recently got a super charged blender, at Monday lunch I put an entire roast chicken in it, with onion, carrot, garlic and rosemary. Had to thin it out a bit with gravy. Creamy AF.

21:14 I own a carpet cleaning business out here in Utah and one of my Uber rich clients that live in park city’s version of a rich neighborhood called deer valley and this lady had what essentially looked like a 500 lb piece of metal in the shape of a standing up crumpled tissue with a bucket of matte red paint thrown on it and it was the center piece of her walk way and she said it was bronze, 750k, and named ‘red cape’. It didn’t look like a cape and even if it did it would be way cooler if just left bronze no paint. And bronze is copper and tin and tin is like Pennys on the ounce but copper was at the time about 3$ an ounce and the statue weighed 500lbs not 250,000lbs soooo yea 700k of artistic value in her eyes I guess.
16:29 you’re probably thinking of the club rule that was ended about 15 years ago where only ‘private clubs’ could serve liquor and every bar you bought a one night club membership that usually came on like a wood token.
It’s still restricted also in the sense of if your restaurant has a bar it needs to be walled off but that ended three years ago and all beers had to be .3 instead of .5 abv but that ended literally two months ago

I'm from Boston but I moved out to Florida for school, and I saw the video of Davis Clark running the marathon with no audio, and I thought "oh man that's cool, let me share that on my story," and I did. 20 minutes go by and my buddy messages me and is like "yo there is so much shit running down his leg it's disgusting," and then I realized the video was of him showing off how he ass blasted his trousers and stained his legs from asshole to ankle. For the rest of the day, I was crying laughing and panicking about how so many people saw that shit, no pun intended
