The live version gives more of the Janis experience , though, imho. I'm not taking anything away from her recorded versions, of course. They're much cleaner. However, watching her transcends you to that emotional level. It oozes out of every pore in her body, almost like she can't contain it.

I saw Janice Joplin and Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wight festival 1970. Little did I know they would both die, age 27, within a couple of months.
