    @9:00 I like how they're going over the freshly stuccoed brick wall.. you can tell that mud is freshly dried and is crumbling right off of the brick. Try that on some stuff that's had three decades to cure to the wall

      @Hooly Dooly not really. You can buy something that can last for many years or you can buy a new drill from another brand every year. Over the long run your paying way more by buying the same drill multiple times instead of just buying one that will last just about forever.

    In the early 2000s I uses a Hitachi Cap Nailer.
    The issues I had with it were all caused by the nails and the cap rolls.
    If I loaded a 100 nail roll.
    The nails would get caught on themselves in the hoppee.
    Loading only half a roll.
    The gun ran well.
    The material between the caps stretches. The caps would bind up coming out of the roll.
    Reducing the amount in the hopper mostly fixed this also.
    If I still did that kind of work.
    I would have one.
    They could only get better.

    I thought you couldn't cut through rebar reinforcements in concrete since it removes the safety of having the rebar there in the first place. At least that's how I was trained on core drilling through concrete slabs. It's the worst thing that can happen on a jobsite, and requires a civil engineer assess the damage recommending any remediation.

    0:12 That's cool but what do you do if you have to take the coping off? Would a new piece be needed? I did commercial repair and service work for large customers like Kroger, Ohio State University and OSU Hospital properties and a fair share of leak causes can be at the wall and taking off coping might be needed to investigate and repair. I guess it would be worth it if you know for sure the installation and termination of the membrane is done correctly.

    • @coryCuc
      @coryCuc Před 2 lety

      They aren't just "kneepads." Volleyball players use knee pads. By your logic construction workers would be just as happy wearing volleyball kneepads. And if $400 is too expensive, then just make the same product and sell it much cheaper and become super wealthy. Super easy.

People are just lazy anymore, but they want high dollars in their pockets.. No wonder our society is broken.. it’ll never get fixed either.. So sad

    Unacceptable. Tech in other industries far surpasses this but construction workers will never see it because nobody gives a crap about laborers. In the end you get a 30 year mortgage on a 20 year house built out of wood chips and sawdust ( A.K.A. pre mulched ) and the bill for public assistance, the workers medical, plus all the debt they default on when their body fails deducted from your check. Capitalists in the construction industry are only helping themselves and at the expense of everyone else including their own workers. Capitalists are quick to credit industry as the savior of man, but industry will NEVER serve man because industry has tricked man into serving industry. Call it impractical or unsustainable...I call it shady. The only thing that perpetuates the real estate industry is empty promises from bucketmouth sales people. Enough is enough...open your eyes.
