When he tries to mario you, you gotta dash to where he started jumping for. Running from something faster than you in the same direction its going isnt a good idea.

Yo he's exaggerating put just put quick slash make your nail long and the charm that makes you stronger that's it don't use soul stay class don't try to dodge his attacks just dash throw them and hit him multiple times between each attack

You can use weaversong, grubsong, glowing womb, and defenders crest, then hold crystal heart on a corner and boom, you have cheesed lost kin

I personally used defender's crest and didn't regret it one bit because it allowed me to simply ignore all of those balloon enemies and just focus on the lost kin itself
Those "fucksticks" (lol) are so annoying af.
Just when you have time to heal up (not radiant mode) they always spawn right next to you and eat shit.
If you use the spore charm, it will kill them instantly as they enter the radius.
I remember playing through this game my first time, and second to nightmare king Grimm, lost kin was the most pain in the ass boss fight🤣 felt so good to beat it though
Everytime they jumped on my head they humiliated me more and more

For me it was one of the easiest bosses. I started with six health and basically nothing but firstried it

Also, defender's crest can clear out the vast majority of the bubble guys before they can hit you, freeing up your attention so you can focus on the boss itself
You can also use defender's crest to help with the balloon guys
For sure, I tried not to mimic every other tutorial out there and avoided things like that which might feel like “cheesing”, not that it is really but I liked not using it. But it’s definitely valid!
Another 'Off' charm combo that's fun to use is Grubfathers's Elegy, Heavy Blow, Quick Slash, and Unbreakable Strength. You can almost just spam stagger the boss. Works against Hornet aswell
with those shade souls you hit the lost kin would already be dust.
Always room to squeeze in a few more shade souls 😂

Quick slash plus steady body is super good for this fight, lets you walk the boss into corners over and over again for great dps. Great way to end the fight quickly
Fun fact: those orange balloons only have 1hp so the defenders crest will immediately kill them before they can even touch you

This one was done a year ago, but I have another Fun Fact for the battle as a whole. Pantheon, Dream Boss or Hall of Gods, you want to remember this:
Lost Kin will *ALWAYS* get stunned after receiving 7 hits. Make sure you strike all the hits in a row and then concentrate in killing the infected blob balloons before going back to striking him
Either by Nail damage or Spell damage, 7 hits will do the trick, but the only spell you'll need is Shade Soul, which in some cases can hit Lost Kin twice in a row
Keep the count and make them count!
Or alternatively use any of the companion charms (if you're using glowing womb, it's obligatory to pair it with grubsong and weaversong) and cling to the wall. This works specially well with this simple charm combo:
Weaversong
Defender's crest
Sprintmaster
Grubsong
Glowing womb (Optional, makes for a faster battle)
Really easy to assemble on a normal run and really cheap too, so you can use those extra notches on something else (Say, grimmchild or carefree melody so if you mess up you have a chance at surviving)
Just cling to the wall on the highest point available with C. Dash and don't release it, then let your weaverlings do all the job for you
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this guy fucking locked onto you when he jumps. Took me a hundred tries to beat him originally but now I can do it easily.
Tip for those who didnt beat him (jet) his dash move and slashing aroun have very simular start animation but when it uses dash it doesnt grabs his sword

He's actually really easy if you use this set up
Grimmchild,Weaversong,Glowing womb,Grubsong,Defenders crest,and Dreamshield
Then go to one of the top walls and hold one with Crystal heart
The pets should protect you completely and as long as you don't let go you should kill him(in like seven minutes)
I beat this radiant version first try using long nail, quick slash, dream shield

I COULD do this, but I saw a fireborn video and he killed it really fast by jumping around 2 feet next to it so I’m gonna try and do that instead until I rage quit since this boss is broken and there’s no way to kill it and this game sucks
You could theoretically use defenders crest as well since it kills lost kins goons if they even come near you
Yes you can do that... OR you can equip defender's crest, dream shield and all the minion charms and then run to the top of the left wall and C-dash stall until it's dead.

I just beat him 20 minutes ago. I used unbroken heart, life core, joni's blessing and nailmaster's glory. First 3 charms give you enough to tank him with spells and hits.
Haha nice, out tanking the enemy is definitely a valid strategy, although doesn’t help us a ton with the Radiant version haha

You should've recommended defenders crest. It almost makes it so the infection water balloons just don't exist unless you move too fast, which you shouldn't be doing in Lost Kin anyways.
Yeah most videos recommend it so I didn’t feel the need to be redundant, and I found it less consistent than taking care of them myself
I found this fight to be not too challenging but still very challenging, and it was one of my favorite fights. Amazing tutorials man, first playthrough is going great
Just stay attached to a wall very high up with weaverlings using cristal dash to attach to the wall
All you need is Defenders Crest, hyper focus, and steady body. Quick slash is optional but works well.
i just equipped a minion build plus defenders crest then just stayed at the top right corner and watched the chaos

Oddly enough this was my first radiant win. I just did it not knowing what radiant meant til I got hit the first time then ground it out.
i found that grimm child was pretty useful for getting rid of the orange flying things so then i could better focus on just fighting off lost kin but idk that was just in the normal fight (started the game recently)
Personally I find defenders crest really useful for lost kin as the infected balloons will die to anything in one hit
I deadass dunno how I beat this boss since it's been so long since I went on my radiance grind, but im sure I was in a state of euphoria afterwards. uumuu on the other hand, I'll never forget.
Sitting in the top corner and using a minion build is another good strat.
I did this relatively easily with Quick nail, shaman stone, spell twister, unbreakable strength and sharp shadow. Except for a few dumbass moves where I fail to turn before I dash, it was pretty easy.
Much easier solution if you are patient put the charms that are defenders crest and weaver song and stay in the top left corner with crystal dash. defenders crest kills the things that spawn

use defender’s crest for this fight. gets rid of the yellow ghost people and let’s you put 100% of your focus on the boss
Just stay on the ground except when they do the charge and the parry attacks but they conveniently have the same visual cue so just watch at for that cue.
May do I keep getting these right after I beat the boss 😅
Also sharp shadow is great if you like playing less aggressive
For those Lil ghosties, I usually have Grimmchild equipped (In my playthrough he's at 3/4 stages, and I have the 3 flames, but am struggling on NKG) since the Ghosts are pretty slow and large, Grimmchild usually can get them pretty quickly, I found myself not having to Take my time paying attention to where the ghosts are and Lost Kin's next move at the same time. Because Grimmchild is able to take them out in one shot. But that may just be me ^^'

I find Defender's Crest works quite well at keeping the baloons away
Defenders quest, any summoning charm, go in the corner and hold crystal heart till your summon kills em
i think defenders crest is actually pretty good for this fight only because it instantly kills the orange things and you dont have to worry about them
Yeah most people recommend it but I found it incosistent
Another charm i recommend is defenders crest because it insta-kills ghosts that are near you
If you use defenders crest the puffs die when they get close to you allowing you to heal when lost kin is staggered
I like how he has an entire spell build and then just unbreakable strength lol
Radiant mode is like one punch man
I think defenders crest completely negates the ‘fucksticks’ unless radiant mode gives them more health
Make sure you use quick cast too!
I rather using Steady Body + Quick Slash and make a Lost Kin Milkshake
Defenders crest could also be good for getting rid of the little ghost shits
I prefer to use the Whirlwind nail art on him by luring him at the edge of the arena

What was the hardest to beat on radiant for you?
Absrab was the biggest time investment, others which were really hard for me were obblobles and markoth
It's funny how an easy fight like obblobles when you have to do it hitless suddenly is way harder than like NKG or pure vessel with their way better patterns
Note that this radiant HoG was done on a save where I let zote die though because that's my main save so I've never done radiant zote since I hate that fight
@@kinggamereon653 I feel like zote would be easier than markoth or oblobbles. My strategy is to jump over the shockwaves and hit zote until he's starts another attack. You can also do a lot of damage when he's summons the zotelings or the exploding things. I haven't attempted his radiant fight though

Dude, when I beat this on radiant, I had on gruberflys elegy, unbreakable strength, and quick slash. (And sharp shadow of course) I spammed It into a corner, and just spammed it until it died lmao.
I defeated lost kin with a nail only and I can say using quick slash and just forcing a stagger and just bullying him before the ghost become to much to handle is a good strategy if your really good you can use the ghost to pogo away from him sometimes.

I haven't attempted radiant yet, but I've done this fight so much that seem to subconsciously react to what it is doing, i.e I will dash when I didn't intend to, and it saves me from getting hit

I remember originally HATING Lost Kin and Forgotten Vessel. But now, they feel reasonable. I haven’t beaten them on Radiant but I just mean normally
Yeah in the main game they kind of represent a difficulty spike, but once you adapt it isn't too bad!

Charm: MINIONS
Go to up corner as high as possible then use crystal heart, it take a wile but it work but it wont work for broken vessel
Me: attempts radiant markmoth
Also me: * steel soul run noises *
If you use a combination of weaversong summon and dung defender you can crystal stall in the corner of the fight
We don’t camp in these parts, we fight!
I learned that if you use the charm that gives the stink and it damages enemy’s you can use that and it will one hit the ghosts and then you don’t need to worry about them except you can’t jump into the ghosts
Edit: I don’t know if this works with the radiant version but I know the stink thing works on the first time you fight him

I would suggest swapping out strength for quick slash for extra soul
Tip: Lost Kin is easier than Broken Vessel to radiant, even though BV is slower, Lost Kin doesn't do that nightmareish attack that is the headbang attack.

I used defender's crest when i first defeat it so i don't need to care about the infected flyng thing (not in radiant mode btw)

I didn't even count how many times i died to him. Didn't expect that he would be such pain in the ass and in result raged like hysterical toddler with table banging and all xDD

I use spore shroom to get quick heals when lost kin is staggered in order to deal with the infection balloons, not really helpful on radiant tho
I used that stank cloud shit and Sharp Shade, easy peasy.

Sorry but Lost Kin is the best hollow knight boss and if you die to him you're bad. Lost Kin's amazing attacks and him so elegantly dropping down to the ground are fair and square. Lost Kin is a great boss.

Orange ghosts is *THE* Boss its annoying ;-; when your ealing theres like 1 or 2 there when you kill one you might accidentaly get no knockback so suddenly you fal to Kin
