Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
You forgot that one small part in the first musical scene of All Dogs Go To Heaven where Itchy and Charlie were singing. Itchy says "...and even, a bit of *Siam*" referring to Siamese, depicted with those same buckteeth and slanted eyes.
You forgot to mention yourselves. Mojo sounds like an over-exaggerated black term and I'm offended by it.
Mr. King Kong: "MR MOJO RISING" .... A phrase repeated over & over in the song LA WOMAN by the DOORS, and written by Jim Morrison. Is an anagram of Jim Morrison's name [[try it, all the letters are represented here] [created by Jim Morrison himself]]] and yet this isn't offensive either.
Time for some political correctness again..
Ancient name for Thailand: Siam
Siamese cat: literally has the word siam in it
Watchmojo: J a p a n
AmateurOtaku Gaming Literally not that ancient... The Siamese only adopted the name “Thailand” less than a hundred years ago...
Even nowadays the neighboring countries of Thailand such as Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia still didnt come up with the word “Thailand”. I mean if you’re visiting Lao you’ll find 90% of their population still call us “Siam” rather than “Thai”.
do you think the animators cared or even knew where the cat breed originated? they just wanted to add racist jokes to the film its not that deep
Well the animators and Disney didn't know the that either because they're making fun of Japanese people not Thai people. U should change watchmojo to Americans
That's another trope, all Asians are just called Asians.
No effort is made to name which actual Asian country they're from... XD
I’m Native American and I remember being young and thinking that tiger lily was so beautiful and how cool it was to see a Native American girl on tv
Nevaeh Cassidy I know! Tiger Lily is so beautiful & a Princess. Peter likes her & Wendy is jealous of her! That's hardly a negative light being shed.
I think they are confusing stereotypes with racism!
Jim Crow is by far the most cringe worthy to me. That was a hideous & unfair law. Obviously anything slavery referenced is racist.
Racism is defined as one race thinking they are superior to another... I don't see that in Peter Pan.
Nevaeh Cassidy you’re Indian
Nevaeh Cassidy :) i love how chill you are
Keplix yes quarter Yurok
Keplix thank you ☺️
As an Asian, I find the cat playing the piano in 'Aristrocats' hilarious lol
"FoRtuNe cOoKiE aLWaYs wRoNg-"
The Aristocats and Lady and the Tramp was the first time I saw siamese cats as a kid. They looked so different and cute, I wanted a siamese cat! We had two siamese cats growing up and unfortunately passed away, I m looking to find a new Siam baby, they are my most favorite breed.
Maybe in US siamese cats are common house pet, but in South Europe they were not, so not easy to just see one around.
Same here!! I haven’t seen that movie since I was a kid and don’t remember it well but I literally spit out my drink laughing at that clip.
@Anastasia's Secret what an incredibly sad thing to say but actually believe?
Wow. One day I hope you want to build bridges of coexistence.
When you’re a hammer, all you see is nails, I’m not sure you’ll be able to understand the point.
If you can’t get outside of your own very short sighted version of the hate you’ve been conditioned into at least don’t toss around your hate to people who don’t care what people think of them & hopefully don’t see everyone as such separate individuals we’re literally all just humans.
Also EVERYONE at times of course are the butt of a joke here & there, lighten up, it build character.
@Anastasia's Secret racist much? Typical.
What people find hard to follow in stereotypes are usually correct in the worst of our culture. We hate to admit it.
In Ireland here now, when many are in the pub before dinner. Its 11am. After dinner they go back.
I find that most people that complain about The Aristocats have never actually seen it. Nearly every character in the film is a stereotype, from the hillbilly dogs to the Siamese cat. The black cat trumpet player, the hippie beatnick cat, even the main two characters. Duchess is rich and spoiled whereas O'Malley is a homeless alley cat. The whole movie is about culture clashes. But of course, people don't pay attention to things like plot or themes anymore.
Oh yeah, a culture clash were everyone’s features are greatly exaggerated
Yesss!!
Thank u 💯
But they are animals and then we have to say that these ridiculous features from cartoons actually belong to specific individuals from specific ethnic groups and races-which is itself racism.
Bro I’m Arab and there wasn’t a single scene in Aladdin that offended me😂
Same! Except maybe the part where they dressed Jasmine as a belly dancer but... ok
@@shi_. eh, no different than dressing a Japanese girl as one of those oriental dancers lmao, that scene didn’t do anything to me tbh lol
Bro, I’m Latino and didn’t even get a mention 🤣🤣 the worlds gone bloody insane 🤯
Same I thought the movie was totaly fine
@@thegrassyboy6163 Maybe the "when they cut off your hand" refferance in the opening scene...
Too much and uneccesary for a kid's cartoon!
But in other languages this prhase was not translated ,the lyrics were totaly different thank God! So I grew up adoring this movie, and not having those "American things" in my mind!
Wait, so a black man voicing King Louie would be racist. A white man voicing King Louie, wouldn't be racist. If this sort of thinking isn't racist, I don't know what is.
Ryona That’s why they had an Italian guy voice him
A yellow man would be okay
But jazz music is so tighly associated with black culture.
It’s because jazz culture was popular among black ppl and they had accents/slang that they tried to copy, it the same as doing an Italian,Asian,or any stereotypical accent.
the Hypocrisy of Correctness often Cofuses People.
I never saw Uncle Remus as anything but some black guy, just being a normal, happy guy. I still can't, no matter how hard I squint, but we live in a day and age where people with nothing better to do with their lives wake up every morning and ask "What can I be offended by today?"
I love Uncle Remus, him being happy, his character and song helped me in a very difficult time in my life.
so you are saying racist attitudes are acceptable
@@Raidenmommy89 how does uncle remus have a racist attitude?
i guess the white people that deem these things racist failed to realize that even today in the south the old men talk just like the “stereotype”. being from louisiana i struggle to understand how having black people talk in the same way old black men from the south talk TODAY is racist. if they had a white man play the jazzy character like we had in new orleans years ago, it would be labeled as cultural appropriation.
@Tinovimbanashe nyirendah you gonna be OK Lil fella? Huh? You extra sensitive today😢??
Watch mojo are the racist ones mistaking Siamese cats to be japenese that’s embarrassing
Japan isn't a RACE it's a Nationality.
Japanese and Siamese aren't colors. So no Racism White Supremacy.
Yeah they’re obviously Siamese
Didn't stop them from using the clip in their top 10 cat breeds video, either... 🙄

He’s not black he’s orange
Man these people are blind how do they even know it’s racist lol
the fact that they see racism in that shows that they are racist themselves
I think Disney WAS worried about having a well known black jazz musician voice an ape but ultimately they didnt do that so it really comes down to how people take it
@@leonardonetagamer yes because a regular person cant think of these things. only a racist knows what racist people truly think
People need to learn that stereotypes are not always negative
Exactly!
Facts, I think the red man one is cute due to how they danced with them ^^
The thing is, they are, even if they’re superficially positive. For example, the stereotype that Asians are smarter than other races is an overgeneralization applied in a manner such that Asian students are put under more pressure than other students.
The part of overgeneralization is really where this comes from.
@@ThighFish u have a point,
I don’t think the King Louie thing is racist at all, that’s just how he wanted his character to be and it worked out really well! 😊 I think it would’ve worked out with the other guy too
Agreed. Not to mention, King Louie was voiced by Italian American musician Louis Prima.
It has to do with people calling black people monkeys and apes. THAT is why it was racist.
King Louie was voiced by the great Louis Prima. I guess that made it okay bc it was an Italian man voicing an ape instead of a black man. What kind of cartoon animal would be seen as racist if voiced by an Italian man?
@@logann7942Yeah, I think it was okay either way. With the logic used anybody voicing a pig would be offensive, you don’t see people talking about Miss Piggy being offensive to woman for making a woman be a pig.
@@queenjahneen100I understand WHY it could be considered racist, I’m saying I don’t agree. Jazz is the perfect style for apes, anything you watch they’re generally depicted as goofy and fun. Jazz is a goofy and fun genre, the jungle book would never be the same without King Louie and I think a jazz legend like Armstrong would be perfect for the role. At the end of the day it’s hard to imagine the movie any different and it worked out well anyways.
As an Asian, I take great offense to "the man" telling me what is racist and what what I should be offended by. Caricature or stereotype maybe, but I would hate for those characters to be changed or erased. I get a kick out of them. And you know what, it really does remind me of some of my relatives. So hey, unless you want to end up in a dull grey, monotone world, where people are afraid to jive talk, or have an accent, or you know, BE different, how about we all cool it with the recreational outrage and enjoy our differences. Even if that means having a bit of fun with it.
Thank you. How many times can I like this comment?!
It was all about the stereotype jokes when during my childhood and I'm very sure that Asians made fun of American stereotype culture at least few times in their life which I wouldn't might seeing just to make more jokes on both stereotypes.🤣
@@night-x6793 I agree. I always loved white people jokes from Fresh Prince and especially Dave Chappelle. Dave is a hero. Much of his comedy is racial, but it's all hilarious, and brings people from every culture together. Real racism today is done by drawing unspoken lines between creeds, colors, and classes and then telling each group the other is to blame.
@@ElectricIguana I'm still confuse what is racist means when there is only one species of human left still existing on the planet when the others basically died 1,000's of years ago where I question why or how this happened?🤷
Why is it offensive for specifically a white man tf
When your a child you dont see color just cartoons
Truth
That's a quote of gold.
Underrated
“When you’re a child you don’t see colours, just cartoons.”
you do see color. you just don't give a shit.
As a child I saw most of these. My take was, the world is a wondrous place waiting to be explored for it's many differing people and places.
Fun fact: In the german version of the original arbian nights song, they sang that you loose your head, not ear.
Good
That would be even more racist.
would be more accurate
It’s ok to have different cultures depicted in cartoons. It’s okay for people to be different.
I don't think that that was ever said
It's ok for those people to be in the writing room and have a say so in how they are depicted, too.
As a white man, the racist depiction of Elmer Fudd has always bothered me and I'm glad this video finally addresses this.
I haven't watched hed the video yet, but I'm assuming there are lots of examples of racism towards whites, considering how often white people are in cartoons.
Thrue but it depends if these stereotypes are real or just a wrong representation of culture
Me as a thai person the song we are siamese if you please is a wrong representation of how the people in my country are but also the song is really amusing
NO goddamnit no I'm ok with some of this list but as a black kid I was proud af of Scat Cat, don't you goddamn tell me that's racist
Thank you!! They can't properly view the world of yesterday through today's eyes! They haven't proper perspective and thus will judge incorrectly.
I always thought the cat was suppose to be the " Cool cat"
They think it's racist because they're white people who "pity" minorities
Or something
Gotta get rid of the good with the bad. This is current year, dontcha know! Scat Cat gets flushed with everything else that could maybe, possibly, potentially get some sensitive soul's panties in a bunch.
@@chadangeles3856 Something is wrong with you. But since you're a furry, I think you're proudly proclaiming that to be so.
I love how people tried to call out and ban speedy gonzales but the Hispanic community defended him from being banned or canceled....I’m Mexican immigrant and I never saw these as an issue, it was for example in the case of speedy gonzales awesome to see culture on TV .
Besides if you think about it he was the first Mexican protagonist
What about his cousin Slow poke Rodriguez 🤣 joking but I liked we had someone Mexican to see on TV even if it was a cartoon. He was portrayed as smart and strong
One of the first cancellations of a stereotype is the Frito Bandito.
Coco 2017 and the new incomming film encanto
I never got a negative impression of Mexicans from Speedy. He was clever, plucky and possessed a remarkable skill.
The only one that ever ‘bothered’ me was Sunflower…only because there could’ve easily been a ‘black’ centaur that didn’t have quite as exaggerated features. But that isn’t to say it’s at all racist…they actually had that hair style. The ‘Jive’ talk is total BS though, they weren’t singing/talking that way to be racist or offensive…they just naturally sounded like that. Implying it’s racist is just projecting your own dislike of anything that doesn’t fit what you decide to be ‘normal’.
The Dumbo ones (the faceless workers and the crows) the faceless workers were to pay respect to all workers regardless of ethnic background who kept society functioning from behind the scenes and the crows were voiced by black Jazz musicians and Walt Disney payed out of pocket for them to be recorded at a recording studio down the street from the movie studio (because it was against the rules of Hollywood at the time for black people to enter a studio producing animated movies) to poke fun at the Jim Crow laws of the time, hence the use of crows and the leader's name being Jim Crow. The Song of the South does point out in the movie that the US Civil War had happened years ago and according to the line used would indicate that the movie is set at the earliest in 1868 with Uncle Remus being the owner of the plot of land he's working according to something he says towards the beginning of the film, the cautionary tales were published in a book titled Tales from the Briar Patch (briars are thorny bushes that have seed pods that tend to stick to clothes until physicly removed by the person).
but in the song it says "grab that rope you hairy ape" what do you think they mean by that?
AND, the crows were not all black jazz musicians, in fact the main crow was voiced by a white guy called Cliff Edwards
Just shows how much love goes into a WatchMojo video.
That is incredible! And I kept thinking along the same lines, How would the woke SJW’s expect to see different ethnicity’s represented? If you only have one color (well white I guess , because there’s unbelievably seemingly quite a lot of ppl that actually don’t know the definition of RACISM & believe what they’ve been fed by culture & or the Hollywood Left extremists, that ONLY ppl lacking in melanin can & are born ‘’racists’’!) with no one allowed to use free speech & call it what it is, it has to actually be called Anti white racism, which is just breeding hatred so much more, that I have to ask who’s actually behind it all? It seems to backwards to be regular citizens. So if you bring up different ethnicity’s NOT negatively just in addition to a story, you’re branded forever a hateful evil racist, that’s ‘’INSANELY RACIST’’ 😳🤯😆including evidently your children & grandchildren that will be asked to pay 💰 reparations, for something they clearly didn’t understand in the first place!? But if you make an all white cast you’re branded (depending who exactly you are) usually with a similar brand.
Frustrating because people never give ANY BENEFIT of the DOUBT.
Also if you’re a hammer 🔨 all you see is nails.
And to build bridges 🌁 we have to agree there’s a river in the first place.
I’m still boycotting Showtime after having them for YEARS, for the ACTUALLY INSANELY RACIST backwards foul ball & hard push promotion of ‘’It’ll be ALL WHITE’’
This is literally opposite of what Dr. King so passionately reminded all of us about, including ones that weren’t born yet. The erasing of our history to fit into someone’s agenda is a quick arrival at degraded societies such as , totalitarian, Marxist, communism , that have been proven for thousands of years definitively don’t work either . Next stop will be all of us surviving in a version of Orwells book 1984.
Yeah watch mojo really likes to stoke up embers of hate for views, w/o any thoughts of is this ‘’right’’ or ethical or even correct? I keep losing more & more respect for the people behind it. But evidently 💰💷💸 will sadly make a majority of people think, do & say things that aren’t congruent with their own beliefs or maybe it’s part of their religious or political beliefs agenda.
King Louis 'racist' is a little far fetched.
Molino Eric it sounds messed up but u can say the same thing saying that a black man should be excluded by a role because of his race (i get ur point it’s a tricky one)
@@marcofriio32 I'd like to point out that King Louis is not voiced by a black man. He's voiced by a white jazz musician named Louis Prima. Does that make the character more racist or less?
Molino Eric you’re too soft. It’s a fucking movie lol. Everyone is so thin-skinned now - no wonder this world is going to shit.
Molino Eric that black actor also auditioned for the role so he knows what he did and he was ok with it
Yeah just yeah just because the voice actors talk with slang doesn't mean it's racest that's way of Disney putting in characters without putting a stereotype on what type of character it is or they would have just made him people and then you could have called them all Races
King Louie is an Italian Jazz singer... that’s how that man talked in real life... he lived in that generation and scene... not Racism.
Louis Prima!
Mrspeebody 😉
Seriously - This female announcer is seriously grasping at straws, and frankly comes off as a bit divisive - given the situation society is in, lately. Blagh.
Yeah, some people nowadays just assume anything that relates to black people as racist
She probably vegan also
I'm gonna pretend king Louie isn't part of this video .. he's one of the the smartest characters, displaying the utmost and unique intelligence
I guess Mulan was racist because the Chinese were all drawn with asian eyes?
The King Louie scene was obviously trying to pay homage to jazz music and black culture, not making fun of it, hence why they wanted one of the best Jazz players to ever live to play the voice.
People are so over dramatic, most of this wasn't even remotely racist.
lolHero there was some criticism amongst the Chinese over how unattractive the characters looked in Mulan though.
They mean with over exaggerated features and a stereotypical accent.
lolHero Agree, also King Louie appears to be an orangutan which is the most intelligent.

King Louie is not racist. He was voiced by the legendary Italian-American singer Louis Prima who even played the trumpet and was probably no stranger to "jive" given his career.
Backed. Going even beyond this, Louis Prima was born and raised in New Orleans to a musical family and played out from a young age. His playing, his style, the way he walked and talked, were all a product of his surroundings. (Also, Sicilian-American, thank you very much! :P )
@@artofambrose Yes! I am aware of the difference between Sicilian-American and Italian American for my great grandpa was born in Sicily just west of Cefalu. I just wasn't 100% sure when I wrote that. I even call myself as having Sicilian heritage as opposed to Italian.
Would have been dope if it was Armstrong too though, though I see why they were worried about that. I feel like there would have been a case to be made for racism at that point, but it's still sad that sensitivity, however warranted, somehow mars a potentially tasteful character. I mean, King Louie is pretty dope, and at what point does something go from depiction to stereotype?
Only pure sicilians can become made men
WatchMojo: as dumb as it gets.
"Stereotyped" and "racist" must not be considered as synonyms...

I view some of these differently. I believe Disney was trying to show diversity and displayed different cultures, voices, facial features as a way to show everyone that deep down inside we’re all the same! What race? The characters are literally apes.
Btw look up who wrote the original jungle book. He was a racist European colonist during the rapid colonization of Africa pre WW1 check your facts kid
Henry Warren in the jungle book the monkey called the boy his cousin in terms saying the white ppl called black ppl monkeys 🤷🏽♀️its very racist
Henry Warren I mean the guy who wrote it Kipling literally said “it’s the white mans burden to civilise the world” therefore the whole narrative has a colonial vibe! But I still love the film 😊
Alainah Becton but the boy isn’t white either
Song of the South was one of my favorite disney movies as a kid. As an Italian 8 years old I didn't know the details of racial issues in the US, but my father explained to me a bit of context (what he knew), he told me about slavery, he told me that the black man was not treated well. I loved the character of Uncle Remus (Uncle Tom in Italian for some reason), for his wisdom, his kindness, his generosity; I felt like he could have been my Granddad.
For me he was really a Christlike figure, while the white adult characters in the movie are certainly marginal, I actually cannot recall any off the top of my head.
Keep in mind that Italy at the time didn't really have much immigration, and most of the immigrants were white anyway, and integrated into Italian society quite smoothly (Romanians and Albanians).
All in all I think this movie made me grow up with a strong appreciation of African-American culture of that period, an interest in Black people's struggle that is kind of unusual for an Italian kid born in the 90s. I also started to binge on Negro Spirituals which I listen to even to this day.
Regarding Italians, even today in American media I see us depicted as amourous, friendly, loud or wathever. Do I find it kind of lazy in 2022? Yes, but that also depends on the manner. Do I find it offensive? Not at all.

"Siam" is what Thailand used to be known as, that's where they got the names from and where the term 'Siamese' came from
@@joedorben3504 It is believed that most Siamese in Britain today are descended from about eleven of these original imports. In their early days in Britain, they were called the "Royal Cat of Siam", reflecting reports that they had previously been kept only by Siamese royalty. Please shut up!

I hope they realize that they're called "Siamese" cats because Siam was a previous name for Thailand and not Japan. For talking about racism these people seem to generalize a lot
You do realize Siam was conquered by the Japanese and basically puppeted by them during the Second World War resulting in a japanese-ification of much of Thai society at that time. Both japanese cultures and customs along with fascism were forced on the Thai people. While I do believe maybe watch mojo got this wrong by not explaining the obvious origins of Siam, I don’t think explaining the Japanese connection was wrong here either. “the Japanese Empire pressured the Thai government to allow the passage of Japanese troops to invade British-held Malaya and Burma. After the invasion, Thailand capitulated. The Thai government under Plaek Phibunsongkhram (known simply as Phibun) considered it profitable to co-operate with the Japanese war efforts, since Thailand saw Japan - who promised to help Thailand regain some of the Indochinese territories (in today's Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam) which had been lost to France - as an ally against Western imperialism. Following added pressure from the start of the Allied bombings of Bangkok due to the Japanese occupation, Axis-aligned Thailand declared war on the United Kingdom and the United States and annexed territories in neighbouring countries, expanding to the north, south, and east, gaining a border with China near Kengtung.”
@@krw1999 Japan didn’t conquer Thailand. They joined them. And even if they did Conquer then that still doesn’t make Japanese and Siam the same. They have completely different histories. That’s like saying Poland is Germany because it was occupied

I’m glad Disney now warns viewers of stereotypes in its movies! Three particularly disturbing scenes included the crows in “Dumbo”, whose leader’s name is a direct
reference to segregation in the southern United States, the Native Americans in “Peter
Pan” who are portrayed in a way that reflects neither their diversity nor their authentic
cultural traditions, and last of all, one of the cats in “The Aristocats”, who is a racist
caricature of Asian people and plays the piano with chopsticks.
You must have a lot of time to be offended like this
as a native american, tiger lily was always my favorite and the chief was the coolest so,,,,,,,
That’s good. As a white woman trying to teach my young daughter acceptance and equality it was not helpful to see Disney using lyrics like “what makes the red man red” and calling Native American’s “savages” while they hunt them assuming they are too stupid to defend themselves. I love Disney, it’s been a huge part of our lives but they definitely got it wrong sometimes. Pinocchio featured Native American stereotypes in Pleasure Island where they throw out free cigars to the boys in the crowd.
I watched a musical of Peter Pan when I was a kid and Tiger Lily is my all time favorite. She's so cool and cute.
It's so dumb. I was watching a scene from Disney's The Jungle Book, mind you this is from way back in the 60s, and Disney got it correct with how they physically portrayed Mowgli. Of course, all the comments were turned off because the last 2 generations of Americans want to find some sort of fault in the previous generation's contribution to culture. Meanwhile, these same generations are incapable of coming up with any genuinely original stories or characters and constantly go back to the well created by the supposed bigots of America's past? When I was a kid growing up in the 70s, my granmother used to read Hiawatha to me, and yes. . . even as a white kid in S.Texas, I wanted to be an Indian. I guess that's now racist, to have these thoughts as a 5 year old kid.
In my opinion, O’Malley and the Alley Cats was a great gig and paid homage to the sounds and soul of different varieties of music.
There is plenty more racism:
-in Pinocchio the bad guy is White,
- in Bernhard and Bianca: white
- Cinderella and snow white: white
- Robbin hood & Pocahontas: white
- Peter Pan, aristocrats (Buttler): white

That’s very true. I’m from the south and now no one is racist. Seriously. However, my grandpa who is 93 and grew up in southern MS isn’t what I’d call racist, but he was raised with a stereotype. Not all of the south was 100% racist even during the civil rights era (not trying to overlook the many who were truly racist). Stereotypes most often have some truth to them too. It only makes it a stereotype when thinking that its 100% true all the time. Plus stereotypes can be neutral or even positive. Heres a positive stereotype example: All canadians are super nice.
To be fair Aladdin is pretty much how Arabic countries still act. That is why people flee from there.
With unending chaos in the Middle East for the last thousands of years, I say the barbaric line in Aladdin’s opening song “Arabian Nights” holds up well.
"How did we not notice these the first time"
Simple; we didn't associate cartoon characters with racism and we treated them as actual cartoon characters without thinking "omg stereotypes".
So they aren't stereotypes because children don't understand the world in which they are and will grow up in? Doesn't have to be offending to be racist. I say that as a very, very, very white-passing Arab. The number of things people do or say in front of you when they think you're white is incredible. I can also see the advantages I have in person vs, let's say, applying for a job and people only see my Arab name.

I think one of the most important things that people forget about animation is that cartoons weren’t originally intended for children as an audience. That’s why many of the Looney Tunes, Merry Melodies, even some Disney properties from 70 years ago were geared more towards adult audiences. Another element of cartoons is that caricature has always been a central part of it. Cultural identity, accents, etc., have always been tropes exploited in animation. This is nothing new. It even continues on in anime but people don’t talk about it as much.

I think what she means is, the siamese cats were drawn to look like traditional, war-time/post WWII Japanese caricatures, which you can find all over examples of war propaganda, cartoons and posters from that period. So not only are they applying a villainous racist caricature of a Japanese person (exaggerated features and mocking accent), but they are also applying it to characters that are from a different region of Asia entirely.
Didn't they sing "We are Siamese is you please, We are Siamese if you don't please"?
