From experience a year later: The Zadar is a fucking monster of a module.
Wow that Zadar looks amazing, that's a must buy for me.

The additive oscillator is really fascinating...
Try Native Intruments Razor. The idea comes from there but Razor has some much more sound shaping possibilities and FXs.

The ODESSA sounds really good. Probably the most interesting module I've seen/heard in a while.
Odessa has some crazy sounds coming out of it. Very sci-fi. I like it.

Wow. This is really, and I mean *really good*! [fantastic, to be more honest] I just noticed that the spectrum tilt has a weird, very small usable range... maybe take a look at that? Maybe it's just for the particular sound, but knowing additive synthesis, it does sound weird that the usable range is only like 1/4. Maybe use linear instead of logarithmic potentiometer? Zadar is awesome, also. Really great additions to any modular setup. Oh and Tomek, you're not on CNN... don't be so nervous. ;)

Looks great - though seems with 4 outputs only, no place for an EOC (end-of-cycle) gate output? Maybe that would be on an expander unit?

Hope they update Zadar to go bipolar.
This entire time I thought the Zadar worked like a normal envelope and allowed for custom creations. A bit disappointing. It looks cool but flipping through presets is not how I want to apply ADSR.
Zadar is not ADSR. Editing shapes with 1000 of breakpoints on a small screen? You got to be kidding
@@pe00000001 it's funny because the Xaoc website calls it an envelope. Also, Erica's Graphic VCO has editing on a small screen using tools.
@@Zinfidel1 Envelope does NOT equal to ADSR. ADSR is a primitive 4-stage model of what actually happens in acoustic instruments. Zadar models super complex dynamic processes with hundreds of segments. Erica VCO is two orders of magnitude simpler, it is just incomparable.
