I have searched for Roger Waters content on youtube multiple times recently and yet was only presented with his channel finally… odd algorithms!

I am mostly only familiar with his work regarding turning naive set theory into axiomatic set theory, and with the use of clever paradoxical logic examples.
He was not the only participant in that endeavor, yet he was a very important element.

Most people in the so called music industry are busy touring 50+ cities a year, trying to make money somehow, or they already have more than they need so then they spend their money and enjoy their lives.
Time is also a commodity, and how individuals choose to spend their time is their choice.
And trust me: many musicians can say far more with sound than they can say with words. Silence is also a note.
Professional Musicians are not flags you should wave around for your own purposes. They are just people who usually get payed way too much money, or not enough money. (Statistically...the latter, because of the former)

Russell, alongside Alan Watts and a few others, was one of the greatest Brits. We're so fortunate to have some of his talks on audio and video. He lived to 98..And left us much to ponder.

If you havent seen it, there is a post-dubstep dj composer named INZO who did a song called "Overthinker", I think. The track uses one of Alan Watts' most infamous lectures and is a very beautiful song, and perhaps even if you dislike the genre. The Visual FX are awesome also. Minimalist shapes and stuff.

Having just read some of his books... He advocated a one world government as the only answer for peace !?... by force if necessary... that means war; and overriding democracy. Sounds a lot like benevolent totalitarianism to me, so he's basically someone who advocated totalitarianism?... I understand he wrote that after the second World war, but still, come on... that's a pretty pss poor solution to the complicated problem of why we humans enjoy killing each other so much. He also advocated a naive utopian vision of what eventually became concentrated high rise living, for those two reasons no way is he on any list of heroes for me.
And yunno what, people actually acted and are still trying to act on those ideas... sometimes his ideas did benefit England, but some of them are dangerous, anyone who claims to have answers should be treated with caution.
Sir Roger Penrose is another national treasure of the UK. That dude is brilliant.
Also, wasnt Paul Dirac british? He was a once in a generation level of insanely brilliant.
Who was the professor that worked with Ramanujan? (The Indian set theory mathematical genius)

@@mikethebloodthirsty I would not be surprised if a mathematician is maybe not the best person to listen to in terms of globalism advocacy. (Maths have a mind of their own, and usually lead towards an abstract boolean collapse. 1 + 1 = 2. Etc
Their arguments should still be parsed however...because they were probably very well rationalized, and that may be neccessary to creating a more complete and functional system. If he reduced his own concept to potential absurdity...that is also very valuable.
Every learned man of leisure tends to have their ideas regarding a utopian system. That is common across the eons.
Love for life, desire for knowledge and compassion, these are the ingredients necessary to be authentic human beings. This is the teaching of great men like Bertrand Russell 🙏

I must admit I don't know a lot about Bertrand Russel but this is the only piece by Mahler that I truly love. But thanks to Visconti, whenever I hear it I get a mental image of Ashenbach dying on the beach. 😄
Wherever one stood on Philosophical ideas Bertrand Russell was one of the great Philosophers of the 20th Century. He worked with Mathematicians like Whitehead to clarify some of the most difficult philosophical issues of our era…He was an atheist but a very moral man who campaigned for very important moral issues relating to peace and the resolving of conflict which was causing destruction and loss of life. From Nuclear weapons to ideological conflicts all over the world…Roger clearly appreciates that in these troubled times we need him more than ever 😔

Ive found that for some reason it brought me briefly back in time in my mind,", possibly a very very long time ago, perhaps even in a different life time?,oh it was strange, no, please, I've not lost my mind, not yet anyway.. but it was as if ive heard it in my past, but I know it could not have been so.not just any past but like, in a different life time past maybe?, hell I couldn't explain it if I was forced to!! how did you do this to my mind? even I know that prob- sounded qwite strange." Most of your music/lyrics have that kind of profound effect on either my mind or heart ,its always been that way when it came to your music.
