This summer presents one of those match-making opportunities, because whether they realize it or not, Paul George and the Philadelphia 76ers need each other.
All that's left to do now is for both parties to swipe right.

I like PG but i just want the sixers to built an actual deep roster through the draft and picking up the correct role players like the Nuggets/Heat/Celtics etc.
PG has been my favorite player since his Pacers days. But it’s becoming more and more difficult to be a fan of his. I live in the Philly area and the Sixers are my team. So I think I can be somewhat objective. PG on the Sixers may work if he is the third scoring option. He can’t get a max contract however. If he does, George’s erratic performance and what can easily be interpreted as a nonchalant approach coupled with the Philly sports fan base (very knowledgeable, loyal and demanding) and the Philly sports media (professional, objective but tough) could easily result in a huge disaster. The Sixers would need to do some PR to set expectations with the fans and the media. And PG would need to clearly understanding early on what the Philly sports scene is all about. George has never experienced a sports scene like Philly in Indy, OKC and LA. While these cities are great sports towns, the pressure and scrutiny on our teams and each player in Philly is at a totally different level.
PG with a big and being the 3rd option at this point in his career makes sense. On the clippers, playing the second option at this point he cannot do with consistency on the clippers. If philly can dump tobias harris this is a move.

A fan of Paul Georges game. His prime left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, injuries didn't help. I wanted Paul a couple of years ago. I always hoped Tobias would at least be semi effective on the offensive end. It would be enticing to have him. I just think the league is starting to turn over. Not many aging stars left that you can rely on for help

I laughed when I saw the title of this video, assuming it was meant to be a joke. Paul George and Joel Embiid would be damn lucky to play 75 games COMBINED. Sign Paul George, and you may as well get James Hardon back, along with Kyrie Irving, and Russell Westbrook. The team coach could be Bill Walton, and the team trainer could be Greg Oden. Perhaps sign Kawhi Leonard too, just *in case* of injuries!
Sixers can sign Immanuel Quickley & Miles Bridges for the same price it would take to get 35 year old Paul George. Yet Morey is still stuck in his old ways. New CBA has broken up the super team. How is it that a typical fan realizes this an NBA executive GM most likely doesnt?
What’s even worse is how people are campaigning for them to sign him… 76ers finally get rid of bad contracts and old players , and have the opportunity to actually reshape the entire identity of the team and the first thing people are saying is sign pg. don’t get me wrong he isn’t washed but why pay a max or close to a max for one player who has a pretty extensive injury history and is sure to regress at some point in the coming years. The 76ers will be top heavy and have a bench filled with buyout and vet minimum guys. I payed for league pass last year and if they sign pg I’m definitely not paying for it again because it will be the same story: 76ers start off hot, then one of the “ big three” gets hurt, 76ers have to rely on 2 guys and a bunch of g league guys to maybe get the 6-7 seed and then lord willing we get to the 2nd round and get put out because our vet minimum guys can’t stop competent well built teams🙄😂

If the Sixers do add a star this summer, I’d like it to be Paul George. Not only do I like him as a player, but as illustrated here, he’s a great fit. George as a third option is great because he is already unselfish and knows how to defer. You can bank 🏦 on Joel missing some time throughout the year and in the playoffs.
Having George there to support Maxey would prevent the fall we saw this year while Embiid was out. I would finally feel like the Sixers were a legit contender in the East.

Kawhi, Norm, Zubac, Mann, Hyland, Coffee, Brown under contract, plus Tucker player option. They'd be under the cap if PG & Harden walk, but not by enough for a max. The only reason they can re-sign PG & Harden is because you can exceed the cap to re-sign your own players.
