@APLX you right , it’s kinda boring cause we can already tell which team is going to the Final , if it’s not Aus vs Nzl it’s Aus vs Eng or Nzl vs Eng , kinda boring .
I like league alot more than Union but league only has England australia and new Zealand because its only really prompted exc in those countries
Yeah and then outside of that is Sāmoa, usually I would go with Tonga then Sāmoa but Tonga has been atrocious in this World Cup and I think Sāmoa would beat Tonga if they met in this tournament

Well, in the Southern Hemisphere Argentina and the Jaguares took a lot of beating but have also improved after several seasons. You won't have a global game if you do not have exposure. Granted, you are going to have boring games, but this also happens at world cups in others sports barred the odd surprise. I would like to see Argentina playing this game; I am sure they would not disappoint; this year, they won a Sevens tournament, even when geographically they are quite isolated and the economic situation in Argentina is dire.
Sure, our world cup has a huge gap between the top teams and everyone else but it beats the hell out of watching the Wallabies lose time and again.

The rlwc is a bit of a joke tbh. These ‘nations’ are so contrived it’s ridiculous. Every team is just a mixture of the same players from 2 leagues, NRL and super league. They are desperately trying to emulate union with the international game but the truth is that union has actual, full-time professional teams in at least 11 countries which makes an international game viable and scalable. RL has 2 professional leagues which means every players across the rlwc sounds Australian or from the North of England.
As a product I prefer RL but a World Cup just seems very contrived. Would much prefer to watch 4 nations I think

Disagree, you only get development and interest in the game by having countries at the table. So what if it's in early stages, Rome wasn't built in a day
@@tomw4322 that's kinda my point though. These aren't 'countries' at the table in any real sense, they are a random group of Australians, Kiwis and Englishmen who happen to have heritage in those regions (with one French team added).
The Lebanese team do not speak Arabic, the Greek team do not speak Greek, all bar 1 of the Irish squad were born in England, all bar 3 members of the Scotland squad were born in England, over 90% of the Samoa squad were born in either NZ or Australia. It is, as I said, extremely contrived and a little bit desperate.
I recognise that you have to start somewhere but the focus should be on what, for example, France have done i.e. establish a professional team with a system in place to bring through local kids. The French team may be crap but at least are recognisably French. They all speak French, play for a French club and grew up in France.
And regarding your comment about it being "in the early stages"....this just is not the case. The RLWC started over 70 bloody years ago.
