Good to see Samoa looking how people expected them to be, I think if they meet England again it will be a completely different game
England a month together to prep and gel vs Samoa come together a week prior, with no preparation, time to gel or warm up game. The moment they get training time they made massive improvements. Prior to game 2 they practiced with Fiji, prior game 3 they practiced with Lebanon. All they needed was time gel, sort out game play that best suits the team and get combinations right.
They have to pass Tonga first 😅

As tongan I'm gona say toa's looking really really impressive and living up to the hype that surrounded them. The structure around them was 10 out 10. Tonga had a super high scoring game today as well but the samoas cover over basics and combinations is deadly.

Just remember Tonga is a tier 1 nation, theyll go into the QF as favorite but i do think this samoan side has a little bit of class especially the backline.

as a French rugby union fan, I can tell that I discovered that there was this competition just by coming across this video. unfortunately rugby league is very little followed in France except for a few places

Union is well organized and internationally recognized. 80% of the world didn't even know they is world cup league happening. Interestingly if nz and Australia wins from their quarterfinals their will meet in the semis which doesn't really make sense considering Fiji was in the same pool as Australia and Lebanon with NZ.

I've always been fascinated by this endlessly-dying game...So I'm not surprised with the defeat, but c'mon...There are 140 clubs in France (looks ok, I even had one in my hometown, one of the rare suburbs of Paris to have a XIII club, I had to play XV in a neighboring town), for, so they say, 29,000 people playing...Let's take out the youth, this leaves around 14,000 adults playing regularly, in well-organized competitions...And yet we take 60 points from a, what, 200 K population country, with a reservoir of probably less than 30,000 people ABLE to play the sport? Even taking in that all rugby codes are the most popular sports out there (in France you don't mix XV and XIII, and the informal sport of choice is football), this really tells how long down the drain this bizarre and ugly sport has gone here in France.

These highlight packages are total rubbish. Show the lead up play, provide some context for what's actually happening in the game.
Commentators yelling "this could be the try of the tournament" and all we are shown is the last pass. Boys putting on a clinic but ya just can't get a feel for the game with these dogsh** edits. Try gets sent to the bunker for review and the replays not shown at all.
Never expect a bunch from a RLWC, but whoever is running the content side should be flicked quicker than me missus gets rid of me every Sunday morning.
