I have one arrowhead shaped stone and I was going to do the easier design because I was scared of the weaving. I decided that all I would be wasting was wire so gave it a shot. It turned out so much better than I thought it would because your tutorials are so easy to follow. Thank you for giving me confidence in my work as I am learning. :-D

Your link takes you to Artistic Wire AWS-20-NTB-06YD which is stiff as a board and near impossible to get any kind of uniformity with let alone the subtle bends. The wire you use in your video, which I assumed was the in link, was AWS-20S-03-06YD and I'm guessing it is much softer and much easier to work with? That would have been helpful knowing being a first timer with any of this kind of project.
I think as it has been a few years since this video was posted, the product in the link has since changed. Thank you for letting me know, I have fixed it. The brass wire would indeed be quite firm, I've worked with it and it is usable but harder to work with than copper wire. You could use the brass wire for things like earring hooks and chain links and other little components so it doesn't go to waste

I am a polymer clay artist and was struggling to find a unique way around findings. I love your tutorials and the pieces you make. I tried to make one with a clay piece but it scratched up horribly. If I use resin on the piece first will that stop the scratching? Have you ever weave with clay or other softer materials> suggestions?
Resins can be quite easy to scratch too, so unfortunately I am not sure. Perhaps there exist some resins that are very hard that would work? Other than that I'd say perhaps it just takes practice. I've worked with polymer Clay and resin cabochons in the past and you just have to be super careful not to touch stone too roughly with the wire. Maybe some designs are easier to do
@@OxanaCrafts that is what I thought. Right now I am all thumbs so I guess I should practice on rocks for awhile. I have noticed a few tutorials today that actually don’t have the piece in the wire for most of the wrapping. I will try that technique too. Thanks!
I actually managed to scratch my stone the other day 😅, luckily tiny and inexpensive.
