    Great info, thanks. I'm curious how cooking (eg, quinoa for 20 minutes) would affect the phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors - any thoughts?

    • @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951
      @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951  Před 3 měsíci

      If the quinoa isn't at least soaked with an acidic medium, cooking will not change the phytic acid or enzyme inhibitors 😁

    What a helpful video ! So if I understand correctly, you are either going to soak and ferment OR sprout ? Or would combining those methods (soaking, sprouting and fermenting) be the optimum for health and taste ? Could you please also break down in a simple manner which foods need aerobic and anaerobic fermentation ? Thank you very much !

    • @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951
      @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951  Před 10 měsíci +3

      Yes, sprouting OR soaking and fermenting. Both of those provide the same benefits. To my knowledge no foods need oxygen to ferment. Typically food needs to be submerged to prevent mold. Thanks for watching!

    Hi. Would you know if the tryptophan and selenium in nuts remain intact after being fermented?

    • @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951
      @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi! Usually you would just soak the nuts in a salt water type brine for 8-12 hours for most nuts, then dehydrate. The only exception is cashews which only need a six hour soak. The phytic acid In nuts is bound up differently than beans so the process is different. I do have a video on making crispy nuts which shows the whole process. Thanks for watching!

    Holy Super mom... I am aspiring to be like this one day...
    Did I miss your email somewhere? I’d like the cook book...
    also... I imagine you kids aren’t babies anymore... but if you have any advice in a video regarding baby nutrition... that would be super helpful!! Does Mr. Price talk about infant nutrition?? (The reason I found your channel was I was searching about teeth health - of course, naturally - for my 1 yr old... I think his teeth are ok but - I had some concerns with the amount of nursing he does and all of the warnings online... so I’m looking in to the emu oil, cod liver oil - I bought some grass fed ghee... I was going to consume it myself, thinking he would get it through milk but I also want to start introducing the ghee to him soon ... thoughts? Advice? And thanks to you I noticed there is glycerin in my natural toothpaste!! I gotta check the label on his.... anyhow... you are one impressive lady, I must say. (Understatement)

      Hi Janet! Thanks for the compliment! Your words mean so much to me! Here is the link to purchase my cookbook:
      abhsd.myshopify.com/products/cookbook?
      And yes, purchase the book by Sally fallon Morrel called nourishing traditions book of baby and child care!
      I wouldn't worry about nursing and oral health.... most countries around the world nurse the baby's till they are 3! Boobies are not the issue, nutrition is! Those are all great things to take and get into your breastmilk! Emu oil would be safe for baby to take too! Your doing great! I've added my email to this video in case you want to email with more questions!
      Blessings 🙌

      What’s are your thoughts on toothpaste for a 1 yr old? Is the xylitol in earthpaste for kids alright? I noticed that the ‘jack and Jill’ brand I bought has glycerin and I don’t want to start on that train... how about the ‘wellnesse’ brand for kids? Ingredients are:
      Sorbitol, Calcium Carbonate, Purified Water, Xylitol, Silica, Hydroxyapatite, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Stevia Rebaudiana Leaf Extract
      Which should I get??? I don’t have time to make my own right now..
      Or how about ‘Uncle Harry’s’
      Ingredients:
      Bentonite clay, calcium carbonate, colloidal silver water, sea salt, alkalizing ionic minerals, mustard seed, natural menthol, pure essential oils of peppermint, eucalyptus, clove, wintergreen, and oregano.
      Read somewhere that the anti-bacterial essential oils might be too powerful and mess with natural flora....
      Thoughts??
      Thanks😬🙏??

      @@janetyay242 I honestly didn't start brushing my children's teeth until they were two. In dr. Weston a Price's discoveries one of the things that he noted was that the people never brush their teeth yet had perfect oral health. Oral health is not dependent on brushing or flossing as we have been brainwashed to believe. Cavities are caused by poor nutrition and bad microbiome health. Once my children were two I made my own homemade toothpaste usually just a mix of bentonite clay and water and allowed them to brush because usually peppermint essential oil is too strong for a two-year-old. I really try to avoid the sweetener Xylitol because it's a sugar alcohol and horrible for the microbiome. Since A 1 and two-year-old typically eats most of their toothpaste you really have to be careful with what's in the ingredients and if that xylotol is swallowed not only will it destroy the microbiome of the mouth but also all the way through the digestive tract and into the intestine. The microbiome of the mouth is just as important as food nutrition when it comes to the prevention of cavities and overall oral health. So I guess if I had to choose I would not pick any of those options and instead when I had time I would purchase some calcium bentonite clay that is safe for internal use mix it with a little bit of water to form a toothpaste and use that. 😁 I do have have a quick video up here on the channel on how to make a simple homemade toothpaste

    My sound its not very good but how can you sprout flower? seeds maybe sprouted, I heard a story about an archeoloist who translated a book from the Vatican, Bordeau Zeekly he quoted Jesus promoting eating raw food, the people asked him Jesus but how can we make bread? Jesus replied, take the seeds add water when the wheat is sprouted make a paste and place it in the sun. A japonese scientist confirmd that the sprouted seeds contain sever time the nutrient of the seed.

    • @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951
      @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951  Před 5 měsíci

      Flour seeds are called wheat berries. The berries can be soaked with water as described in your comment and they will sprout. Then they can be ground into flour. Hope this helps

    • @CarisaRae
      @CarisaRae Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, soaked, sprouted or fermented is the rule... it covers all seeds, nuts and legumes, although they all need different methods. Flour needs fermentation as it's ground..

  • @adelchidipalma9857
    @adelchidipalma9857 Před 5 měsíci

    when seeds are sprouted they are green and contain about 90% water, how is it possible to make flower out of it. The idea of sprouting is to obtain the raw maximum nutrition, If as Jesus said, you sprout and make a paste out of it then cook it at low temperature then it makes sense.

    • @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951
      @abundantlyblessedhomestead9951  Před 5 měsíci

      The sprouted wheat berries are dried at low Temps and then ground just as Jesus described. As shown in the video when wheat berries are sprouted the process is stopped just as the first Roots begin to emerge from the seed. There is no green plant on it. Then as described in the video you dehydrate it on a dehydrator and then grind it into flour as needed. They didn't have dehydrators back in the ancient times of Jesus so that would make sense that they would Sprout the wheat first which would not only break down the phytic acid and enzyme Inhibitors but it would also soften the grain to be able to turn it into a paste by grinding and then dehydrate it in the sun.
