Just watched this here in Minnesota on Tpt today. Had to subscribe. I'm also a southern gal from Florida. The food looks so good and I am going to make the pimento cheese and the dessert
As a teenager interested in the culinary arts I watched the fledgling food network avidly. Sarah was my favorite because if the legendary Julia Child had a successor it would be Sarah in my opinion, because she teaches as she cooks and she cooks delicious meals all for the love of cooking and she isn't doing it for the celebrity but for the joy of cuisine. To this day I dice onions the way she taught me, make brown butter the way she taught me and have the knowledge that golden delicious apples are boring to eat but take on a delicious honeyed tone when cooked. These are but a few examples but there you have it.
