As someone who was in the road and bridge construction business for 30 yrs, I’ve seen my fair share of equipment operators. I’d rate you as an exemplary operator, and I’d have gladly had you working on any of my projects! You remind me of a good friend of mine who is also exemplary!! Best wishes in all your endeavors!!!!

My uncle took me in as a helper in 01 by a company named Tepsco, they installed chill water pipe for universities and hospitals, we would dig the shafts 30' deep 20' long 10' wide. The company would subcontract the tunnels to other company. Man the things my uncle would do with that trackhole, cherrypicker , were amazing he was in the business for 50 yrs, he passed a year ago. I lasted 10 yrs with that company those old timers taught me how to use a shovel, lock a shackle and I gain character through hard work. You re a good operator , you in one with the machine. What the G/C needed to do was truck in a mobile crusher. Smash the boulders down to proper sizing, then let the crusher crunch the lot down to inch or smaller sieve for grade and driveway purposes. That was simply too much material just to be hauled off like that.

Have you considered investing in a large jaw crusher to process medium size rock into gravel? I am pretty sure most sites where you tear out a bunch of rock ends up needing gravel for road, parking, septic, or foundation building. You could make the gravel and sell it to the contractor or owner without needing to ship it.
