    Discovered this little over 2 months ago, apart from a LCD failure, zero fails since using it. Adds about 10-15mins per print, but saves so much more in the long run.

    A dose of honesty here. I spent 15 minutes watching this video and came away with - you should try UVtools. Now your headline did not state that you would give examples, which I was hoping to see, but if you're not going to give examples, this video could have been dome in less than 60 seconds. Don't get me wrong, I liked your presentation, though a bit long in the tooth, but next time, a bit more meat and less filling. I will check out your support video next cause you seem to do the supports like I do. Hope to get something out of that. Thanks for sharing.

    How do I get rid of the layer lines? It really shows. Also, my prints keep sticking to FEP and not Build Plate. I sanded it, used PTFE 3in1 Oil in VAT, Changed Chitu settings, lift speed, exposure, etc. My prints collapses..i even tried a different orientation and extra supports. It may be too cold...will get a heater in but I'll try UV tools.

    • @3DMusketeers
      @3DMusketeers  Před 6 měsíci

      Dutch chitu. It's crap. Use Lychee.
      The oil has been proven to only cause issues.
      Only real way to get rid of layers for sure is post sanding.
      Cones of calibration to dial in your exposure settings.
      Print at 25C or above if you can.

    Thanks for the information. Struggeling with suction cups and hard to see where they are in Lychee but with this tool I could see straight where the issue was

    No man, the cheatcode is your slicer doing all these things (suction cups, islands...), which Lychee does even in the free version.

    I noticed the laminar flow laser nozzle as soon as it popped up....any update on the performance or what you have learned?

    • @3DMusketeers
      @3DMusketeers  Před rokem +1

      I never really got good performance out of it. Instead we did an FDM nozzle that just got the air closer. The issue was, likely, with all the channels needed and how thin they got along with my lcak of a perfectly aligned laser. caused issues. With FDM it just makes its own hole LOL

    When you dope you fast resin do you change your Cure time (1.5s)? And post Cure how long before you over Cure it?

    • @3DMusketeers
      @3DMusketeers  Před 2 lety

      It varies on the doping. Always run some calibration tests.

    Very cool to see this much knowledge on resin printing - it's hard to find info online about DLP printing for some reason.
    I have a question - I'm doing some prints in clear resin, and am getting a series of small bubbles trapped within solid sections of the model. What can I do about this? Would UV tools help spot these issues?
    Great video, I'm glad I found this channel!

    • @3DMusketeers
      @3DMusketeers  Před 2 lety

      That's because there is air bubbles in the resin. You can hit it with a torch before you start to pop the bubbles. Also make sure you're not lifting too fast that can cause cavitation.

      @@3DMusketeers uvtools sections off the print area to print multiple versions of the same print using different print parameters (exposure, lift, ot, etc) which is BRILLIANT because you can quite literally do a side-by-side comparison for each resin you use... but sadly not all printers can use it and the firmware in anycubic's machines doesnt support using different print parameters for different sections of the screen. i sure wish it did because its my go-to for resin diaing.

    Begin snark: If you ask if we want to see something in a future video, it's a pretty good bet we want to see it. Just add it to the schedule. If you need the chat activity, keep asking, but seriously. If it's something important like the other resin mentioned in this episode, just schedule it. stop singing, or get a singer to sing it. I haven't seen over caffeinated squirrel boy lately. Are you feeling ok? lol End snark: Well done, thanks much.

      You would be surprised about what I want to do and what actually gets views. Definitely trying to add it together! I do want to do more vlogs, but they do not perform well, so we may end up breaking it off into a separate channel. Who knows. I do love making content, but I also want to make sure our viewers want it too :)
      How I am feeling is nebulous ha ha.
