First video I've watched of yours because YT is suggesting any bit of BRC content it can for me, and I gotta say it's pretty great. I like your style and the idea of a peepin' series. Subbed to see where this channel goes and see how you grow as a content creator. Also this game slaps so hard, it's one of those games I find myself thinking about when I'm not playing it. The game isn't perfect but it's so fun to just ride around and just chill out making fun challenges for yourself. The graffiti art is amazing and the minigame to do each one feels really satisfying once you know what pieces you want to throw up. And the music, my lord, I've been listening to the hell out of it and got to discover plenty of new artists thanks to this game. I'm not too bothered about characters having differing tricks and animations, not as much as maybe making each vehicle more unique in how it feels to play. Like the bike could feel a little heavier so you might not get as much air but its really good at holding a "manual" for longer. The roller skates could let you get more air time but the slide is worse for continuing ground combos. The skateboard could be a balance between the the two with more emphasis on grinding, maybe giving more boost or wider variety of grind tricks, something like that. In the end though I think this lays a great foundation for a sequel and would love to see how Team Reptile improves on it.
There’s a trend in gaming that “games aren’t fun anymore” with paywalls, subscriptions, loot boxes, unfinished games being “fixed” with dlc, and AAA studios vastly overselling games. BRC stands in the face of all of this. 100% of the content, for $40, no extra fees, and a fully flushed out game day 1 that is just legit fun. Even pure vanilla on the switch this game is easily worth the asking price. If this isn’t indie GOTY then the game awards are rigged. If you want a good quality gaming experience then you really can’t do any better than BRC. I quit playing Zelda:TotK for BRC. It’s been the only game I’ve played on my switch for over a month. Moral of the story: buy BRC. You won’t be disappointed.
ok so, i have the graffiti soul from JSRF on my shoulder so thats context for how much i love these types of games and BRCF scratched that itch for me. The soundtrack is one of the best ive heard in a LONG time, one of the funniest most wacky stories i played for both games (JSRF & BRCF). Now i wont fault you for not liking the fact that all the characters have the same moves but with so many weird puzzles and stuff all over the game its still unique and very fun to finish and tag a high spot. the issue i have with the game is that they needed more than just inspiration from JSRF, like put a tag or something in it for us to get so we can spray the spots with it. im done ranting lmao
