I have an idea. Crochet a circle but don't join rows. Just turn your work. It will leave a split to go around your tube. If it is too tight, leave out a stitch :)

I'm so glad you got that antibiotic IV in time. 4 years ago I almost died from undiagnosed and untreated diverticulitis that perforated my lower intestines. It was by far the most excruciating and terrifying experience of my life. I was rushed in by ambulance for emergency surgery that took over 4 hours, was given a colostomy as a life saving measure, a blood transfusion, and was hospitalized in the ICU for over a month. 9 months later I had to go back for a second major surgery to get the colostomy reversed, and this surgery took 5 hours because of how complicated it is. Once again I was in the ICU, this time less sick at least but paralyzed from the waste down from an epidural for a few weeks as a way to avoid taking IV pain meds like the last time (which made me both violently ill and physically addicted) The entire 2 years it took me to fully recover was hell. I lost a lot of time with my son who was only 5yrs old when it all began. I'm healthy now and grateful to be alive, but also Very grateful you got the antibiotics in time. I was only 31 and have no other health problems, so I don't even want to think of how it would have been for you. Praise God. Praying for you and sending my love. xo

Oh, Kayla, thank you for the update. I worked on a poncho yesterday, Bag-O-Day’s Lacy Mint poncho, in Red Heart Color Block Party Time. It is so colorful! I love making these, and even in the same color way, no two are the same. Today, I am working on a child’s poncho, using shawl in a ball mystic blue. I hoarded a lot of it, when it was being discontinued. I have quite a lot in 2 large storage bins. They take just as many stitches, with a smaller hook. So far, no one has wanted to pay, full price for a child’s item. Eventually, I will sell them, I am certain. I am on the mend from a treatment resistant conjunctivitis, in both eyes. I avoided Covid, but not this. Apparently, it was very prolific in our community. I go out rarely, post office, corner store, grocery store, etc. Doc said it is highly contagious, and I could have gotten it from a door knob or handle. I remember dropping my crochet hook, on the floor, when getting my car inspected. I forgot to disinfect it, or my hands. Only, I am pretty sure, I got it from the post office, because I wasn’t feeling well, when I took my car in. This conjunctivitis is both viral and bacterial, and the drops, are strong. 😵💫 Hope you get needed answers soon, and your follow up dates, and instructions. Thank you, for sharing your life with us. I've had a pain in my pelvic area similar to the one you described since I was a young girl. It's always there but manageable until I try to walk about just after having a meal. My doctor decided early that it was caused by acute appendicitis. They quickly removed my appendix and nothing has changed. 40 years later the pain is still there and worsening as I get older.
Saying all this and knowing what I go through on a daily basis makes my heart go out to you even more. It amazes me that you are able to concentrate and produce so many great videos consistently. Kudos to you Sis!! May God continue to bless you and your cheerful spirit! 🥰💕

I love your WIP Wednesday project. I spent my day praying for everyone who has been sent to the hospital and resting my eyes. My eyes are keeping me from crocheting for the past two days. They have been running water, painful. swollen and so red they look like they would bleed at any second. No iching so I don't think it's allergy eyes. I think I may have to go to the eye doctor to make sure it's not related to my Graves Disease. So, I am so happy you are back home and crocheting to your hearts desire. I'm so glad your doctor took control to get things done faster. I have a doctor that did the same thing for me. The worst part of the colonoscopy is the prep. They didn't make me drink the nasty lemon lime flavor crap the last 2 times. I was having them every 1-2 years for a while but now more time between them. If you have a cyst and that severe pain that could be the problem. When I had a cyst the pain was bad and I cried until they took it out. I pray they find the real answer to the problem so they can help you. Hugs and prayers to you 😇🙏🙏🙏🙏 Having chronic pain along with your other health problems makes it harder. Keep smiling. 😊
Kayla, I’m glad you are back home and happy to see you crocheting. I continue to pray they find the answer to this pain. Yes nurse practitioners are walking angels without the doctor paycheck! The antibiotics will work . I'm so glad that you didn't have to stay in the hospital for long . My doctor has me on a preventive antibiotic everyday for my uti's .
Oh honey! Well at least you didn't have to deal with this a month before getting help!! Good for your doctor! I hope the antibiotic helps clear everything up and gives your body the boost it needs. Be sure to get as much rest as you can so your body can heal. Much love and many prayers hon.

It's Thursday and I'm playing catch up with everyone's videos, mowed all morning, actually cross-stitching today, will later tonight put week 19 on my luck of the draw blanket
I will keep you in my prayers Kayla. My mom has always had a problem with UTI 's. She gets them very easily. I've learned that in elderly people, men and women, it can go straight to their brains. I have first hand knowledge and experience. My mom was incoherent, lethargic and non-responsive. I've had to EMS to take her to the hospital. Diverticulitis is not fun. I was diagnosed with it 7 years ago. A flare up can be very painful and would be where you're having pain. So many things I can no longer eat or drink. I do hope your doctor will find the right antibiotic to take care of your UTI.
I'm so very thankful you were sent to the ER for the scan even though it messed up your plans! I've been worried about you! I'd wondered if you had Diverticulitis, but sorry to hear you do! I pray that the antibiotics clear up the UTI fast!!! Great idea to crochet the pads! I'm crocheting the Happy Feet socks pattern with some fingering weight mill end yarn & in between I'm crocheting granny square cat blankets for our local pet shelter as a brainless project for charity. 🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

Working on 5 dresses for my 5 great granddaughters, I love watching inspirational videos of patterns for all kind of projects. My husband said I should really make some myself for the ones I have done. But I am not confident enough with myself

Kayla, I do not crochet but our great-niece used to have a feeding tube and she was allergic to the tape to hold a gauze on so I sewed her what I called feeding tube covers....I used colorful, patterned material and covered an absorbent material and to make the slit hold together around the tube, I sewed on velcro. They worked wonderful for her and were washable.

I’m very surprised about you not having a colonoscopy. You’ve been so sick and had so many tests, I guess its one they just overlooked. I know how bad diverticulitis hurts. I have no sigmoid colon from it. I pray you feel better soon. Sending you love 💕
Kayla, I can relate somewhat to how plans go. I don't make too many plans because my issues can pop up at any time -- maybe in the morning and I will be down all day, or maybe up in the day it will just hit me. I do not even think that I know what you go through, because I know I don't. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it. I just have to roll with the punches as they say. I am so happy to know you are not in the hospital. I know diverticulitis is a bad thing. Thankfully, I have never had it. That is a great idea about crocheting your little pads. That could save some money. :) Praying all goes well with you today.

I pray they are able to get you relief soon. With all those antibiotics you’ve been taking, I hope you are also taking some Acidophilus to counter act the antibiotic side effects. You won’t even know you had a colonoscopy I had one way back in 2005 and they gave medication thru an IV and I didn’t even know they had done anything until it was already over

I didn't get to do much crocheting for WIP Wednesday. On Tuesday I had to drink the nasty stuff to prep for a colonoscopy on Wednesday, so I ended up sleeping off and on throughout the day after I got all that finished. Luckily, as you said you won't have to drink it as you can just put it into your feeding tube. Having to drink that stuff is probably the worst part of the whole process. Once it's over, you won't even realize it was ever done. Glad you're starting to get some answers to the pain you're having in your belly, and hopefully the colonoscopy will tell a lot more, and you can finally get some relief.
I am working on BOD's "love of my life" shawl. I am making some shawls for a friend in another state to be auctioned off at a tea for a mission they have in her church.
I am not crocheting today. My husband's oldest sister has passed away. We have spent the week being with her and we will be out of town due to her funeral. I will be alternating between woodcarving Christmas ornaments and crocheting. Love your videos.

I finished an oval doillie/centerpiece for one of my sisters that will be a Christmas gift. And I am working on a carpenter star afghan for another sister. I also have a solar system project(*2) for my grandnephews and my granddaughter in progress.

I know your pain….. I have what the ER Dr. called colitis but believe me I know what the pain is. I have just got over a bout of it !!🤦♀️🤦♀️ I now have a recipe book so I can figure out what to “ eat” or at least stay away from so I don’t hurt…. Like you ,this pain is very uncomfortable (4-7), but something I can stand. One good thing about having a colostomy bag is that my “ Fanny” wasn’t raw feeling after drinking the gallon of stuff which ( to me) was just a watered down lemonade. Prayers that this goes away .🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰

I mowed part of my lawn, got to finish it tomorrow. And I crocheted on a baby blanket for my nephew's son coming in August.
I’m working on one if my fav projects…a baby blsnket, made holding two strands of yarn, and usung my fav hook…a Raduant M, grim Knit Picks. I usually use white as a constant, and that mades the blanket look like ice cream. ❤😊
Hi Kayla, I experienced a-lot of the symptoms for about 5 years, uti’s constantly, in the end it turned out to be kidney stones. During covid I had 3 surgeries to remove stones, and still dealing with that. Thankfully the uti’s did stop.💞🙏💞

On your pad when you are ready to start the split, keep up the increases and you will need to turn on each round.
I was at my neurologist to get meds for my trigeminal. Glad your er visit wasnt anything too serious.

My mother in law had diverticulitis and it would flare up if she ate seeds like a tomato, banana or nuts of any kind but you don't eat seeds. Praying that you get some relief soon❤
