What I have learned is that to grow a gaming channel there are 3 categories to look at, gameplay, game information sharing and creator interactive content. The way in which you fulfill one of these is important. Gameplay has to be the best there is if your posting past the release date of the game. General gameplay videos on release only stay hot for a month or even less as everyone is doing them so peoples interests are satisfied quickly and number 1 rule don't post random cutscenes of a game, anyone can do that. Secondly people value game information, sharing hard to get info on a game with commentary, from what I've seen boost growth. You have to either be the only one sharing the info or the first one to do it otherwise your just relaying what someone else already found out. Lastly people appreciate a personality with the content as long as you have the gameplay or information sharing down, making the video stand out as your own only helps you more from what I have seen. I'm not an expert, its just what I have noticed in the gaming niche. Also it takes a few videos and some luck, remember to be consistent in posting good videos people value and eventually one video will raise the audience size CZcams can recommend your videos to.
