- Set in 1913, Pollyanna is the timeless tale of a little girl (Georgina Terry) who goes to live with her wealthy but bitter aunt (Amanda Burton) after the death of her father. Pollyanna's irrepressible enthusiasm for life brightens up the sleep village of Beldingville, particularly when she shares with the inhabitants a game - "The Glad Game" in which everyone can find a silver lining in the darkest cloud.

Watched this on tv on a winter afternoon in 2004 and felt overwhelmed and soul warmed by its tenderness. So glad I can enjoy these feelings again.
My grandma made me watch this movie with her we both loved it very much. She passed away few years ago and watching this makes me cry... it's a beautiful movie and it makes me think about great times with her :")
Belíssima versão de Pollyanna! Bem fiel ao livro, claro que c/ algumas ressalvas. Muito melhor que a versão da Disney de 1960. É fato que Hayley Mills foi uma Pollyanna mais carismática, porém, Georgina Terry mostrou-se uma criança encantadora. E a interpretação de Amanda Burton, simplesmente perfeita! Viveu a Tia Polly como sempre a imaginei desde criança. Uma pena não ter acontecido um beijo entre Miss Polly e Dr. Chilton. Mas p/ quem leu o livro e amou, o filme é emocionante! Recomendo muito.

Me encanta esta película....es tan conmovedora y a la vez divertida! Es una regia oportunidad de escuchar un inglés bien hablado para no olvidar ese idioma!
Me pareció genial cuando el caído Mr. Pendelton le pregunta a Pollyanna "Child, are you sensible (sensata) ? y ella le dice "yes, are you? Genial, genial la niña!
My favourite version of Pollyanna is this one. Much preferred Georgina Terry to Hayley Mills and Elizabeth Archard. All the supporting actors in this version were also so much more believable and natural, made it come most alive for me.

Haven't watched it yet, but I must say I did love the book. Absolutely loved the book! I found it touching and inspiring hope the movie is the same. (didn't even know it was a movie!)

Georgina Terry was 9, back in 2002, she was the perfect choice for her portrayal of Pollyanna Whittier
Wow. This version is so much different than the Disney version made in 1960. In the disney version, Pollyanna's aunt seemed nice; here she actually is mean, aha!

I admire the movie, but I still prefer the 1986 anime. XD
