I fully respect anyone not drinking alcohol, but without whiskey it's not an irish coffee, that's what makes it irish :)
yeah otherwise it is just....coffee lol
I was going to say the same. With all due respect to their customs and religious beliefs. Still great videos.
You can't have Irish coffee without alcohol. It's like having biryani without the rice or chai without tea leaves.
Rum and Coke without the rum is just cola.
But these men do not consume alcohol.
@@toolbaggers it's a virgin Irish coffee
@@oneitalia2312 then don't give them Irish coffee!
They make Irish cream "whisky" flavored sirops and creams that have been dealcoholized. They taste the same.
This is coffee with cream, not irish coffee...you must tell those guys that..
That's NOT an "Irish" coffee, that's a "Shirley Temple" coffee.
What's the difference? I never heard of a Shirley Temple coffee either.
it's like giving someone a vegan "burger" and telling them they're having a cheeseburger lol
@@TK-ui2th I didn't make sense of it since... I don't know any vegans....
@@AC-ni4gt Shirley Temple refers to a drink that is made without alcohol. It is named after the actress Shirley Temple, who became a star as a young child, and therefore was too young for the alcoholic drinks her costars might have at events. Sometimes people will use the phrase "Shirley Temple" instead of "virgin" to refer to a drink that usually has alcohol but has been made without it. The original recipe for Irish coffee has whiskey in it; while there are Irish coffee-flavored things around these days, a "real" Irish coffee would have alcohol.
@@queencelestyna thank you for that. It makes more sense after hearing it. Though in their area: alcohol is forbidden.
1 day these guys will travel and end up ordering the real deal because they'll think they've had an Irish coffee before
They can't. It's haram.
@@Kivas_Fajo That's the point. This makes them think that Irish coffee is not alcoholic, so now they could end up accidentally ordering something haram because they weren't told the truth about it for this video.
@@pecsenye For one. They are poor, even for their country's measurements, so travelling by themselves is out of the question anyway. If they do it, then with the channel and supervised.
Also, you imply they are stupid to not know, that Westerners drink and eat stuff with alcohol in it.
Black Forest Gateau sucks without the Cherry Schnapps.
@@Kivas_Fajo Come back in ten years and see if they've never traveled outside their country. And I think your faith that any handlers they have ever will understand the rules of haram betrays lack of understanding of the entertainment industry. And how is it implying that they don't understand that Westerners drink alcohol, when they're specifically being told that this doesn't have alcohol in it?
@@pecsenye dude is just butthurt that the point went over his head, and doubly so because someone explained it to him. It says a lot about the personality you are dealing with!
Dude, lol Irish coffee has alcohol in it.
They mention that they sometimes add whiskey. These obviously don't have that.
@@jansenart0 yes. Without the alcohol, it’s just coffee.
@@jansenart0 Sometimes? You can't make Irish coffee without whisky.
@@jansenart0tf,whiskey or any type of alcoholic beverage or whatever that is,is not allowed in our religion
@@umberrizwan5376 NO SHIT.
its not an irish coffee if there is no whiskey in it.
Do you guys need a person with 20+ years in restaurants and bars to help you out on recepies?
Many of the things our great people had to try is not even the real deal, this Irish coffee prove my writings.....
Yeah there's been a few clear misinterpretations of what dishes actually are on here. The chef is great but I think they lose a bit in translation sometimes
I agree. I've been a chef for the past 30 years, and some things do get lost and they can't get the true experience.
They can still enjoy the taste and flavor of Irish coffee without the alcohol. They have nothing to compare it to so let them enjoy it without being a karen. And who cares if it is right or wrong? Chances are they will never get to have this s*** again. Just let the producers do what the producers do and don't try to be helpful.
@@missnataliedavis enjoying the propper stuff or dont do it at all, besides, ever heard of aocohol free substitutes ?
Stay healthy , Karen !
@@missnataliedavis You are the one being a Karen... leave people to their grumbling and stop trying to silence them, you little wanna be dictator. If you want to grumble about their grumbling that is fine (which you are doing) but telling them to stop talking isn't okay.
I understand not breaking religious law against intoxicating substances, but they should be told what real 'Irish Coffee' is.
yeah, the entire concept of the video was already pointless the moment the recipe included alcohol so the creator never should have made a video about it in the first place
It cant be real cos they dont comsume alcohol.
People here in the US drink coffee for a lot of health reasons, like to give you a sudden burst of energy, to warm you up from the inside, or cool you down when it's iced coffee, and even to make you use the latrine. (LOT of people use it just for that last one)
It's NOT Irish coffee without Irish whiskey! That's where the Irish comes in.
This needs a serious amount of Tullamore Dew to go down !
No. You cannot have Irish coffee. The alcohol is what MAKES it Irish coffee, not the cream on top.
You can buy alcohol free whiskey now . But I can't imagine the boys are getting the real taste without the whiskey flavour. Enjoy anyway boys ...slainte🥃
HELLO FROM LEXINGTON KY, USA ENJOY
There's no "Irish" in that coffee. If the boys ever reach SF I would be honored to sport them Irish coffee at the Buena Vista.
Bailey's Irish Cream on snowy mornings 👍😋🤩😁
Love these guys! So real and fun!
Gul looks great! Glad he figured out how to correct his wristwatch 😊
What's wrong with his wristwatch?
@@Tam_Eiki His band was loose and his watch flopped all around.
@@dustdevl1043 Thanks for the clarification!
What is the right word? Bogus? Ignorance? Misrepresentation? Lies? No Irish whiskey, no Irish coffee.
If there was whiskey in it, they wouldn't be allowed to drink it.
Irish Coffee with a shot in it was something to drink on a cold night after going to a music show or something.Mornings would typically be regular coffee with sugar and cream(at home) or artificial creamer( in an office).Hot coffee is drunk all year but especially on cold mornings.Hot tea is not common but iced tea is very common in restaurants and at home in hot weather
A little pinch of salt stirred in will help take away some of the bitterness. Although most would argue that's not a "traditional" Irish coffee without the whisky added. People either LOVE coffee or they hate it. I'm a total addict, to the point where if a regular person drank a cup of it they'd turn green and run the other way lol Or maybe it'd just put hair on their chests...if you believe what Grandma told us lol You're all such good sports about trying new things! Much love and admiration from Las Vegas, NV USA
5:00 We in the west drink whey! in the form of Protein Powders! People use it after heavy physical activity to prevent soreness and build muscle. The mix comes in a plastic jug and you just need to put it into a blender (or a blender bottle) and shake it up and drink it. It really helps prevent and cure muscle soreness!
Oh good a nice simple new item. Thank you
Obviously they cant consume alcohol, but that means you just gave them coffee and cream.
There are non alcoholic whisky flavoured drinks, flabourings etc that have had no alcohol used in its production, at the very least they could of added one off those to give an approximation, albeit not a very good ine, if an actual irish coffee.
Thats like handing them a burger bun with salad in it, nothing else, and saying "here's a bacon. Cheese burger".
You wouldn't wish that stuff even on your worst enemy. It's undrinkable.
Not personally I wouldn't, but it would give them a closer experience than making them a normal coffee and then saying here's an Irish coffee when it isn't.
I think black coffee is bitter too...just not a fan if it. Gotta have sugar and cream! .. regardless of where the coffee comes from.
It is bitter because of the tannins, caffeine, and chlorogenic acid lactones and their byproduct, phenylindanes
Thank Professor Pebody
give me your lunch money
The reason this irish coffee is so popular is because, like your tea, it contains a great deal of caffeine, which like with your tea, helps you wake up in the morning!
It also contains a great deal of booze 🥴
I love you all 🎉🎉🎉God bless ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't think that's real Irish coffe.
Irish coffee is just coffee with a stick in it. a stick being whiskey
@sweet_amir They are having IRISH COFFEE. It specifically says in the intro this is THE COFFEE that people in Ireland drink. Not that this is AN IRISH COFFEE...an Irish coffee is the name OF an alcoholic drink. But Irish coffee is JUST that...coffee FROM Ireland. I know, my SIL is Irish and brought me some...oh and I was a bartender on and off for about 15 years. Trust me it would've been a pretty crappy version of AN Irish coffee if she did it the way you're thinking. People need to listen AND read! All of you nitwits are going all types of neurotic here. Remember Sesame Street~Reading IS Fundamental! #NYGenXBIKERLady
@@christinegelabert1651 do coffee beans grow in Ireland? How can it be an Irish coffee? Irish coffee by design has whisky in it. Otherwise it's just coffee
@@christinegelabert1651 you are the one who is wrong. casting blame onto everyone else.
@@christinegelabert1651And there it is.
I only enjoy coffee with sugar and cream. Coffee makes me very sleepy though.
Irish coffee has whiskey in it. This is not an Irish coffee. It’ll taste completely different to a real one.
What did you use for the "whisky" flavour?
In Ireland we just call it a stick because of the barrel I'd say its some kinda oak stick for home made whiskey
Irish Coffee has Bushmills Irish Whiskey in it...
Mistakes after mistakes
I'll have an Irish coffee. Hold the Irish.
Irish Coffee contains Whiskey, doesn't it? Without the Whiskey it's no longer an Irish Coffee, but a simple black coffee with cream. ^^
Without the whiskey I'm afraid this isn't an Irish coffee
The closest thing to an Irish coffee these folks could have would be coffee with de-alcoholised whiskey. On a side note, Guinness have been selling ground coffee for a while now.
I'd like to try their tea to see what the hubub is..
In America, Irish coffee means alcohol has been put in coffee. That said, in Ireland, they might mean something different
It's the same all over the world, including Ireland: coffee with whiskey and a cream topping, usually dusted with some cocoa.
Did you give it to them with whiskey? Because the one guy really liked it by the time he got to the bottom of it all! 🍻
Maybe tone the coffee down. I use sometimes 5 tablespoons to make 7 cups or 7 tablespoons to make 10 cups. if coffee sits out for longer than 1/2 hour it can also become bitter and really you should make another pot they say after 1/2 hour but since it cost so much most folk don't. Would be funny to see them bounce off the walls like I do after drinking it.
How did I start drinking coffee? I distinctly remember not liking it as a child, and now as an adult, it's almost a sacred ritual every morning. The smell filling the air, the steam licking your nose, and that first sip...
- I think it was school that did it. I was probably told it would help me stay awake to study/do homework, and be attentive in class, and forced myself to drink it, and now it's my captor.
Coffee of any kind will be bitter put some sugar so the can taste it better
Every British colony still drinks tea Except The United States- we drink coffee lol
Everyone except for the rednecks and their "Sweet T."
Is it better if you stir the ingredients before drinking? Asking for a friend.
Irish coffee has whiskey to give it a 'kick'. I realise that Muslim gentlemen don't drink, but I'm not sure you can make a true Irish coffee without alcohol 😊
Probably made with Nescafe too.
I watch all of your videos with these wonderful men. Whether you give them something to eat or to drink, you never put a napkin down for them. OFFER A NAPKIN TO THEM, PLEASE!
why?
There are napkins off camera to their right.
I've been a subscriber to this channel since the beginning and one of the things I've learned about their culture is that they don't really use napkins the way Westerners do. Someone actually sent them cloth napkins with napkin rings. They put them out for the guys in the next 5 or 6 videos and not one of them used them. It makes sense if you think about it. Paper napkins are a waste in this part of the world. They don't have the sanitation services that we do and there's a lot of litter in the streets of Pakistan. Paper napkins would just add to it. Cloth napkins are no different. The vast majority of people don't have washing machines and there's no such thing as a laundromat in their villages. If anything, in the rural vilages where these gents come from, the women wash everything by hand, often in creeks, streams and rivers. The napkins would just add more work for them.
@@bobbiejojackson9448while this is true mostly, all of Pakistan ain't like that
@@umberrizwan5376 Oh, I'm aware of that. I'm not saying that it's that way everywhere, but in poor rural villages like the ones that these gentlement live in, I'd say it's pretty common. And I don't mean any disrespect to anyone. Tradition is tradition. And to be honest, I've learned about the things I wrote from this channel - and a couple of other tribal reaction channels based in Pakistan. ☺
I respect your religion folks but, you can’t have a real Irish coffee without Irish Whiskey, believe me, I know, I’m Irish 😂
Next would be pork chops from chicken
Well its not a true Irish coffee without the "shot" its just coffee with whipped cream. Just like a virgin Bloody Mary is just spicy tomato juice with celery without the vodka. The alcohol actually changes the flavor. But hope they still enjoyed it any way.
Gotta mix the cream in the coffee then it won't be so bitter
No irish coffee without whiskey..................
You fellas on the alcohol.. Progressive
I respect these guys don't drink alcohol, and attempting to serve them a non-alcoholic variant thereof is fine, but I wish it had been made explicit in the video that it normally contains Irish Whiskey or some sort of liqueur (e.g. Bailey's, other brands are available). Alcohol does very complex things to flavor profiles and it is really hard to replicate an alcoholic beverage's flavor without it, though it's possible with a lot of effort. Anyway that was a lovely cup of coffee with cream floated they tried, it wasn't really irish tho.
First coffee only turned in to a dessert in recent years in America. My grandparents drank coffee black. Coffee use to be only 5 or 10 cents a cup now it's a food group. 😄 Irish coffee is bitter because it's a traditional way of having a coffee. My grandparents in Indiana drank tea. My grandma had a bad hart but I think they just like tea. Could be both reasons. Coffee is popular here because of the Boston Tea Party. ☕🫖
2:02 amen 🙌
Irish Coffee is yummy. I love it...
In Ireland we just order a coffee and ask them to put a stick in it
A stick being whiskey
For energy, eat oatmeal.
They left the Irish out of the Irish Coffee!
It's not "Irish" unless it has Irish whiskey in it.😁
I mean, was it a container of Nescafe Gold shipped from Connemara?! Otherwise, not Irish
How long after drinking it did they have to poop?
That is not Irish coffee. Irish coffee has Irish whiskey in it.
Did u at least sweeten it up properly?
Irish coffee is alcoholic. That is what makes it "Irish coffee" this is a bit silly! They are just drinking coffee.
I think they just assumed that Irish coffee would be the same, with or without the whiskey, as long as they prepared it the way they presented it here. I assume they thought that it just meant black coffee with whipped cream on top. I really doubt that they had any way of knowing that the whiskey was the key component, being in a country where alcohol is strictly forbidden. Hopefully, they'll read some of the polite comments and learn from it.
@@bobbiejojackson9448 They most definitely would have known that, they are not stupid. They are quite aware of what is halal or not and that alcohol is not halal.
@@bobbiejojackson9448 there’s no harm in them having done this as a result obviously. It’s just a bit of a daft video this time is all.
@@telebubba5527 Of course they know what is halal or haram. What I said was that they probably didn't realize that the key component of Irish coffee is the whiskey. They might have thought that it was based on the presentation and was just black coffee with cream or lightly whipped cream floated on top. Since no food or beverage in their culture, relies on liquor as a key ingredient, it's easy to see how they could make that mistake. 🧐
I am surprised they drink alcohol
They don't. All recipes are made without alcohol on this channel.
@@nadine_ghc3465 Then it's not Irish Coffee.
downvote you cannot have an alcohol free irish coffee.
There's no downvote here. Only like or dislike. Let's keep the Reddit nonsense over there.
Is it spiked? They should be forewarned if so. Not everyone drinks alcohol or wants to.
Why you don't give Sugar tò this people ? Only some people in Europe take bitter coffee many people take It WITH Sugar !
Tribal people play twister pls
Again, I wish you would offer them the ability to add sugar to their coffee. They drink sweet milk tea every day. Coffee without sugar will taste terrible to them. Please take this suggestion to heart.
No alcohol?
any coffee that you think is bitter add some sugar and you will drink it then its choice of drinker
Coffee taste better adding sugar
How is this possible? Without Irish whiskey, it's just sweetened coffee with whipped cream on top. Still tasty, but not Irish coffee. Is there such a thing as de-alcoholed whiskey, or non-alcoholic whiskey flavoring there? That might get some of the flavor in, without the unwanted components.
Cup of coffee? Yes, cheers to coffee! Stay safe and Stay blessed!
Is it Jacksepticeye's coffee?
Where’s the Irish Whiskey? Or even a non Alcoholic Whiskey flavour?
Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. Please give the boys a bit of a break. But not Irish Coffee
The guys don’t take alcohol
So this is not a very good example for them
Stir it up it’s a milky coffee 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Irish coffee has alcohol in it
Thats just coffee
Irish coffee without irish whiskey is just coffee with cream. Nothing special.
Give them a Guinness zero next time.....
I recently learned that even a lot of 'alcohol free' stuff contains a minimum of alcohol. So zero needn't mean no alcohol at all. It can even go up to a percentage of 1,2 % before they have to claim the alcohol.
Not Irish coffee!
Virgin Irish coffee.
Needs whiskey.
isnt irish coffe...without alcohol not exist irish coffe..
ggs
Irish Coffee should contain Whisky but that is not suitable for these gentlemen
Don’t drink Irish coffee anywhere else on your travels. Traditionally to be an Irish coffee it has to have whiskey or dark liquor in it. I know that in your religion alcohol is a big no go so enjoy and always ask for a virgin version 😊
Probably no Caffeine either.😂😅
They're Muslims, not Mormons.
I didn't know there was halal Irish Whiskey.......
Special cut.
My dudes, I love you, but an Irish Coffee has alcohol in it.
It's hard to understand why these folks are offered food and drink that is but a shadow of the real thing. I understand Hal Al, but just give them recipes that have no forbidden ingredients. Obviously, this is not Irish Coffee!
Did you get control back of Tribal People Try or are they still stealing content?
