    Excellent tutorial Hannah. Your Dad will cherish his quilt! Look for the quarter seam ruler, it shows where to make your marks then you just cut down the middle after sewing. Your hairstyle is so cute and perfect for 16:29 summer. I hope we see more of you on CZcams.

    I love using panels in 3-yard quilts! Just finished two of them. Adjustments are usually needed which involves math!!! And a coordinating fabric is also needed to replace fabric #1 in the other parts of the quilt. Definitely a learning experience!! Really enjoyed your video. I could follow along well with your thinking process!
    Please continue with your series. You’re really good at it!

    Well done, Hannah! I, too, frequently want to tweak patterns to customize the finished quilt. You showed some creative troubleshooting!
    I have liked the Elation pattern since it came out; Lilinoe's stunning quilt made me actually order it! Lilinoe, I literally stopped the video, enlarged the picture, and sat jaw-dropped in admiration. ❤❤❤

    I couldn't believe it when I saw the panel squares! I just used that same fabric in April in a Fabric Cafe 3-yard quilt pattern to make a quilt for my pastor's daughter's confirmation! I did double up on some of the words, but "Faithfulness" did not fit the 7-1/2 cut so I put one on a matching pillow I made. I can't recall the pattern, but it had pinwheel blocks. I used orange and green fabrics for fabrics 2 and 3.

    I bought this panel about 3 yrs ago and made a quilt. I was very fortunate to find in my local quilt store almost the same fabric that was around each of those panel blocks. I used a co-ordinating color to make cornerstone and the quilt turned out fabulous. I love fabric with words on the fabric. Your quilt was gorgeous with the green leaves on the borders.🧵🪡

    You're a natural, Hannah 😊😊 Such a useful tutorial and it's good to see things from a different perspective. Great problem solving! I would not have seen the slightly narrower border if you hadn't pointed it out. Brilliant creative solution! I have only used one panel that was secondhand and had enormous trouble with it. Not a fan of them because of getting things straight but you have shown the way! 😁😁👍👍👏👏💜💜

    ❤️ I can't believe how lucky I am to see this tutorial. I just cut out blocks for the Modern Charm quilt pattern. I didn't like my color choices after making the blocks. Your video has given me several ideas on how to save it. Your tips about drawing extra lines is fabulous because I too can't sew a straight line for the life of me. The pillow sheet is so helpful because I have 4 pillow tops I was gifted waiting for backs and courage to sew them. thanks for so much for so many great tips in One video ❤🎉😂

    Hannah, I loved your video. What other Fabric Cafe patterns would be suitable for panels?

    • @FabricCafe
      @FabricCafe  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi Susan! Most any of the Fabric Cafe patterns work for a panel. Just look in the cutting instructions and make sure you pick a block that is the same size or smaller than yours. You might have to add some additional fabric if you don't have enough panel blocks, but that's a great time to pull from your fabric stash. So, the sky is really the limit.
      We have a video coming up soon where we are going to show some other good pattern ideas for panels, though! So, be sure to tune in for that one for more ideas. -Hannah
