It's cool and looks fun and it's definitely pro-grade audio gear so the price is maybe half justified (audio gear is pricier than most realize), but it's not actually worth $1300 from a pure music standpoint. It's almost a status symbol at this point. Don't get me wrong, it seems super awesome and cool, but the tiny keyboard is limiting and you can get minisynths that do most of what this does (minus the awesome design) for like half the cost.

I wouldn't recommend it if you don't play keyboard or aren't familiar with some music theory, as there is no scale lock or chord mode or anything like that.

The thing I like about Rob the most is how good he is at different genres of music. I like how he likes multiple genres which is good for a musician now days because it can be hard for some people no matter how much they share their music, to get famous and playing many styles might help a musician with that I think, just look at what Miles Davis did and how many styles he did and he bassicly started fusion. Many fusion artists today don't play stuff that sounds like experimentaly stuff from Bitches Brew but thats where it started.
Of all the different sounds you get with this thing and you manage to make it sound excactly like your typical Rob Scallon song. Thats actually pretty fucking cool dude. Hats off to you Rob

That's the beauty of Synthesis my friend, there is no right or wrong way to get it sounding cool it's all about diving in and just exploring, But most important is you're just having fun creating sound that not a million people have installed into their computer.
