For people who don't want to use milk powder and want only the taste of pure curd: Buy earthen clayware (Good kind. Make sure no lead or cement is mixed in it) and then set the curd in it. You will get EXCELLENT curd. It's also very healthy. You actually don't need milk powder if you have well-seasoned clayware. We have it at home and it makes a very thick curd. So thick you need a spoon to eat it. We also use full fat milk.
