- Red Light Therapy for Eyes | Dr. Janine
In this video, Dr. Janine discusses red light therapy for the eyes. She looks at new research that shows red light therapy in the morning can improve eyesight. She explains how this exposure can be a little as once a week. She talks about how researchers found a 17% improvement in color contrast vision. She looks at how it only takes 3 minutes of exposure to show improvement, which should be the red spectrum of light (670 nanometers). Lastly, Dr. Janine explains how the same test is done in the afternoon showed no improvement.

#eyehealth #redlighttherapy #healthyeyes - Jak na to + styl
I've been using a red light therapy panel from Future Form Official in Norway for my eye health, recommended by my doctor. After a few weeks, I've noticed clearer vision and reduced eye strain. The panel is affordable and supported by numerous scientific studies. I'm grateful for all the shared info. It’s been really beneficial for my eyes!
how do you use it? with your eyes closed or open?
@@BruceWayne_311 With eyes closed
Why don't you explain how to do it... distance from the light... open or closed eyes? take notes from Dr. Andrew Huberman
I turned on red light device looked at red (660nm) and NIR (850nm) may a minute or two unintentionally for the first time ever. I felt my eyes were refreshed and eye balls moved much easier about few hours later. I didn't know at the time about this research and discovered the reason of these good effects afterwards. The images are a bit sharper, clearer as well. That's totally fascinating!
Tell me, how close were you? Did you stand far? How far? You see all I read says you could damage your eyes as the panels like you mentioned... are much stronger than the wand used by Jeffries experiment. So, how close were you? How is it possible that ONE session yielded a miracle??
Less than 2 feet close@@cmauro7912 . I have never used eye protection in the last 5 months. The reason it has made a great difference to me as compared, perhaps to others who doesn't feel anything, because after this experience I discovered I have one out of two gene defects which impacts or causes eye macular degeneration. That's probably the major reason the experience was dramatic, but others may not experience this much impact.
I experienced same thing as younger person and because it's supercharger mitochondria
Let me enter an update here:@@ryanandrew6764 I have been using Biomax 900 in the past 2 months (5x a week) and I recently struggled to focus near (I am myopic and wear glasses) which usually had not been an issue as I can read near distance normally without glasses. I decided to protect my eyes with eye protection and do not look into the lights even for a shorter time and reduced my Red Light usage from 5 times a week to 3-5 times a week. My eye struggle with focus has been corrected now within a week of making this change. So that means, I had over-fed my eyes with Red Light which in turn over use worked against me instead of benefitting me as the research also says. I suggest everyone not to overdose.
me too, crystal clear, more 3d effect, very strange.
I have been using red light torch for last 8 months on my glaucoma affected eyes and my eye sight improved considerably. I hope to continue this three days a week with 3 minutes duration at 8.15 am on both eyes. I am recovering from glaucoma now and I am very grateful to these scientists invented the red light therapy.
eyes open when use it or eye closed?
Thank you for posting. My son was just diagnosed with glycomma and I just purchased one for him.
Do you keep eyes open ?
@@truthandnothingbut no answer😀

I went through SO many videos to get my exact question answered! 🙄thanks! New Sub! 🎉
I just used one ( a big one)and I swear my floater in right eye is GONE!!!
did you close your eyes or kept open? and how close were you?
@@NightFlutterI'd like to know as well
Yes, and what product did you use? Did you open your eyes while using it?
Interesting content on your channel thank you.
A study came out a while ago saying red light is good for improving eyesight and now you have mentioned it also. It reminds me of something I heard a while back that looking in the direction of the sun with eyes closed also helps with eyesight kind of how you mention here, obviously not when it is too intense. The interesting part about this is if you look in the direction of the sun with eyes closed, you see red. I am wondering what are your thoughts with this method versus pointing a flashlight at the eyes which seems unatural to me. I have not tried either method fully, but I refuse to wear glasses because I feel like once you start wearing glasses, the vision will need progressively stronger prescription.
Bought a red light therapy panel. Noticed some improvement in my night vision briefly while the light is on.
Lol
@@lernmor2137you are so ignorant.
did you close your eyes or kept open? and how close were you?
Would this be good for Thygensons Didease?
Where we can purchase the red light device?
What is the name of the red light device you are using? Thank you
also, dry eye issues greatly improved, noticebly.
Which device are you using and did you have your eyes closed? I have macular degeneration used it twice for a very short period of time but my eyesight has gotten worse.
Can u open yur eyes when using red light therapy?
Thanks for the video. I will check them out. Anything I can do to help my eyesight.. I had a central vein occlusion in my left eye. . Oh, so what happens if you do this treatment more than once a week? Every day every other day? I have heard also that it’s OK in fact, healthy, to look at the sun in the first 45 minutes that it’s rising and setting,
There’s no UV at that point there is a whole school thoroughness what are yours?
Trifocal lenses and Red Light Therapy- Has anyone tried it and is it safe?
So one has to close the eyes when "looking" at the red light? I only found devices with this combo, red (660nm) and infrared (850nm), is that ok?
For me it works fine Bette eye vision
Eyes open or closed?
Can you please share with us where we can purchase the red light device
I found a device that was found to be safe by the scientist who did many of the light studies! Let me know if you're still looking.
I wonder if you could clarify, if there are products that can be used safely on the market, and list them. As the panels used for the body, are extremely strong and thus dangerous to our eyes. Is the term wavelength and frequency the same meaning? What type of light bulbs are they? Red Lights, or Infrared Lights, and are they only LEDs. It's a wodnerful thing to try out, and I do not as again, want to "do my research" because I am not A DOCTOR.
What you said.
I'm a scientist, not a doctor, and not a lab rat either. I already have a serious eye disease so maybe know more than most just how precious vision is... if I try anything it will only be after I understand the safety or lack thereof.
I just started this morning for just one minute on my "redjuvinator" light panel, which I normally use for aches and pains. After the minute, I saw a red circle with another circle inside of that for about 10 minutes or so; it was a bit unnerving, cuz at first, that was all I could see. I haven't noticed anything else, but tomorrow I'll do another minute, and work my way up to three minutes
I have an Eyecharger which is similar to the one used above. I also have a table top redlight/IRL panel I use for better mitochondrial function, treating inflammation and a plus of collagen production for my face. I tried my panel with my eyes closed for the last minute yesterday instead of goggles as usual. There was definitely a green shade over my vision afterwards. I personally think it was too strong. When I use my Eyecharger with the 670 wavelength the power is less and I don't have that problem after.
@@Tyler-iu7fu thank you; good info
@@Tyler-iu7fu did you buy your eyecharger from the australian site, or is there another site where you can order it? Has your eyesight improved much yet?
@@jeansroses7249 I think it is the Australian site... I just purchased it off their website. I haven't been using it long enough and started really slowly as a bit scared! I had an eye exam before using it and my eyes are in good condition with no issues. I only have a bit of distance issues and my opthalmologist said I don't need the glasses but things would be much sharper if I got them!
Since this helps with repair, could it help with dry eyes?
Vitamin A - carrots or carrot juice
Castor oil fixed my dry eyes
@@elainesohm3265 Orally? How much?
Where do you buy this red light?
I just got mine on Amazon, I wear the red light glasses though lol
So using tanning beds would also work? I don't know about tanning beds in the US, but here in Sweden they have that red light right above the face. So that's good for our eyes too? 😃
UV is absolutely horrible for eyes though. Best not to risk it.
Do not use tanning bed (uv light) for eye health
Omg. You want to go blind? No. Please look up the study by Dr Jeffries. They made a small wand. This had 670 MN deep red light but it was not going to damage your eyes. Be careful. No one is selling the ones for eyes yet. The panels they do sell, are way too strong.
Idiot comment of the day
do you keep eyes closed
Looks like it from the video!
🤣😂🤣 It can't work if they're closed like hers.
Where do we buy the light from?
I just got one from Amazon

Do we need to close our eyes? What's the distance of the light to our eyes
Why did you close your eyes if its beneficial for the eyes? Or you were just not in the mood at the time? What if done more than every 7 days to do it every 5 days?
Great question, there is an after effect of greenish vision after the red light and I didn't want to experience this while still on camera during the taping. You could do it more often but always check with your practitioner.
I recently started using red light for my eyes in the day and evening. It has an automatic shut off. So I would start it again. With in 3 days by right eye experienced some kind of bleeding. It’s clearing up now with the help of Lumify drops.
@@sadams58 bleeding?
Thank you for mentioning the green vision! I get it too and wasn't sure if it was OK or not. So far, I haven't heard anyone else mention the green vision! I'm relieved that you addressed this!

- I know about the Red Light health.
I tried it and, maybe I did something else cause , when I turn it on , I instantly felt like it wasn't for me on all LeveLs.
Interesting, yes the sun is always preferred because it has all the healing wavelengths of light.
But if you live in an area with no sun. What do you do
To go off an answer you made in another comment about why you closed your eyes….my question is do you have to keep eyes open for this to benefit from the red light or can your eyes remain closed as you do it? Another question is, I have a medium sized red light mat for my back, can I lay the mat on my face eyes closed if the answer to question 1 is yes I can and if not can I use the mat same way but with eyes open? Or does it have to be a certain distance away. I only ask because im starting to experience double vision of sorts with words and blooming with lights from brake lights and headlights far worse than ever before with the doubling of the lights and I wanted to try this to help reverse this or help it heal if possible.
Astigmatism!
I have an astigmatism and this is the symptoms of suffer with. I've purchased one of these. If I remember I'll update you with the results
I have a tabletop unit and a wrap. The tabletop unit is just too strong to stare at for 3 minutes. I've even stepped back about 25 feet and it's still too strong. The first time I tried to stare, I could still see a negative image of the light grid long after the session.
So now I prop up my wrap, turn it on to Red Light, step back and stare at the tiny LED lights.
@@HealthTruthMovementany improvement with the red light for the eyes? Pl comment. Thank you so much.
Oh do you close your eyes when using the red light? You did not say that. I had to rewind the video and watch you do it. So just to be sure, do you stare into the red light or close your eyes and expose it on your lid??
She didn't mention, but according to studies I read, you need to stare.
@@treebeard7390 not sure about this because in her video she has her eyes closed
@@treebeard7390 what study say to keep the eyes open?? I think u made that up
She only closed her eyes she said because u get green vision after effect she said and she didnt want that while filming this
The general rule of thumb if you look up different studies, is to look at the light from about 10 feet away, if it’s too bright then it’s too much… I have a panel that I shine against a side wall.… I turn it at a angle and I sit across the room and look at it. It’s comfortable. But if I get up and stand in front of it and look at it it’s too bright.
Anyone have advice on products? I don't want to break the bank, but I don't want to be blind either.

how can your eyes be exposed to the light i you shut them
light travels through the eyelids
@@Tyler-iu7fugood answer. Satisfied with that. Thanks
That’s why I use welding glasses or cover my eyes when napping .To rest eyes from computer screen phone tablet and tv . Take frequent walks looming to the distance beck to something close left right also .
Noticed you closed your eyes... have heard in other presentations... that you do not need to close your eyes??
Why did you shut your eyes? Not how it works. You must look at the light for it to be able to get to the rods you are trying to effect. lol
Really? You don’t even show how to do it. Eyes close, open eyes, and how far etc.
Red light therapy for your eyes cannot possibly work if your eyes are closed like yours were.
