- In this podcast, Kushal speaks with Karan Bhasin on the rate of unemployment in India. The opposition and certain sections of society (CMIE) are criticising the Modi government for juggling numbers to show record numbers of job creation in India, while reality indicates something else. So what is the real story of unemployment in India?

Exactly what Karan said, people complete their education at the age of 23-24 only.
And the opposition is referring to data for age group 18-25 as youths, and no one gives this data in rebuttal.
Most people belonging to Middle & Upper Middle class don't work between 15-25
31:50 false.. Many rural workers who migrated back to village didn't only retort back to farming, but also other stuffs like fast food shops, clothes shop, mobile repair shop, beauty parlor etc. With the skills that they learnt from cities
Why don't we have a record of employment aadhar card like in Gujarat we have Udhyog aadhar card for all manufacturing industries and to get all gov benefit companies need to link everything with Udhyog aadhar.
In same way link everything to employee aadhar and maintain all the data in the system for employment. For informal sector also give some benefits to lure them in maintaining the data.
That is already in the works.
It's really confusing..
When Ms felt threatened by CAA, NRC, Nupur Sharma etc they protested en mass and actively..
Similarly when the adhtiyas of Punjab and Haryana felt threatened by Farm Laws, they protested en masse and very actively..
If youth are really harassed by unemployment, where is their protest? Especially from Haryana where apparently the unemployment is whopping 37%... Why aren't the youths there doing a mass protest around Delhi?

A)sarkari babu
B)IT coolie
C) construction worker
D) zomato delivery guy.

IT coolie?? Lemme see one IT employee carry a 50kg bag on his/her back in above 40°C temperature for at least 200m, back and forth, 30 times a day..
This ridiculous term of IT coolie, IT majdoor, IT slave need to be slapped with the real life hardships the actual majdoors face
There is a shortage of skilled blue collar labour. We have only unskilled labour.
also i dont think we should call it unorganised jobs...but rather self-organised jobs
The education system can't be changed overnight. NEP is actually really a great step toward the right direction. If you read it, you realize that it is addressing a lot of the problems that Kushal is talking about. The problem is NEP implementation is up to the states. If states adopt it, they will benefit and those who don't will be stuck in the old ways.
Shutdown of classes till 10th, if truly strictly enforced with legal teeth embedded in the implementation, will be an amazing step forward for our country.
01:08:30 true... She herself said in that article that people have stopped looking for jobs altogether...
That means they are going for the independence of self employment

And why is chowdhry sad? He's going for self employment, something majority youth will soon aspire for...
And infrastructure growth data has been authentic
Finally he is talking on real issues😢😭❤

I think the unemployment cost bjp because the youth wants jobs and they don’t have options leads to this kind of problem for bjp and they ignored it completely

What i understand is that labour wont be that cheap in a decade or so in bharat
Refreshing to talk about something other than elections😅
Companies are not hiring freshers.
It's because our companies are dependent on projects from us companies . US tech sector is currently in recession and hiring freeze . Many Indian international students are not able to get job in USA . It has also impacted Indian job market .
99% of Indians don't even thinks of getting a job at age 19-21. No government can give public sector jobs to all youth, Its physically impossible and we reject socalist ideology because all socialist countries failed. Private sector jobs in organized sectors are available in huge numbers after graduation ( at 21+ of age), but you have to move to other cities, Private sector jobs in unorganized sector in unskilled category is available to even 18 yo. Congress ruled Indian for 60 years out of total 75 years of independent India, Why did not congress gave jobs to all within that time? On top of that there is NR/UEGA run by central government. Its pathetic to expect empolyment without skills. This is a country not a charity.
Within 10 years, there will be huge social unrest if people don't get jobs. 25 year person won't vote for 5 kg ration. He will choose 1 lakh of Congress.
@@kumaraniket172 no government of the world can give Rs 1,00,000 to 1.4 billion people without making the country world class beggar.. Do the maths. If Congress prints the money and gives that kind of free money to every citizen, Rupees will lose all its value. 1$ will cost Rs 1 lakh...idiot. Do the unrest, destroy the country to join the ranks of Pakistan, Iran, afganistan.

All result of years of Sh!tty & hard education, a stressful environment and societal expectations. Do I really need to learn about 10 stories & 10 poems every year? It is all useless fluff. It is not a result a of comfortable lifestyle. The whole society collectively has created this problem. I don't blame Indian kids for expecting a big-salaried IT job in an AC room.

bro there are few reasons, first of all covid was a bull run so don't compare with that
and during that time companies took a lot of funding and employed way too many people
also there's a worldwide recession going on, funding winter is also there
and last AI has impacted few jobs, not many but the few basic workforce, it's still a gimmick

One thing - why are u Harping on self employment when they might not have capital or savings to do so? Thoda jyaada expectations nahi hogaya?
Sarkari naukri obsession is also another factor . For ex- One of my relative is a civil engineer . But he also tried for group d jobs , constable , etc . He finally got a job as vocational trainer(govt job ) at 30 .
how can you say employment not the issue and say aspirational employment many well educated are willing to work even grade 4 job and delivery job etc.its better u do your research well before saying anything . unemployment is the problem in the country people are willing to work but no job available.
Well educated people doing grade 4 jobs, is exactly what lack of aspirational employment is.
There are not enough jobs for what people are educated in.
People should study based on the available jobs.
But lack of labour reforms, slowdown job growth.
And also cost of living in IT hubs like Bengaluru is so high, due to taxes from state govt, that newbies can't survive at all.
Left parties always oppose development of new cities to reduce cost of living, because they want to earn black money, through the builder mafia, by selling expensive apartments in the existing cities.

There is only one problem with JOB SECTOR in India. I.e Indian Parents. Who still believe it's still 70s & 80s.
And the only real JOB is a SARKARI JOB.
Unfortunately it is the same situation in the US which has a lot of R&D. Many people with doctorates work for a pittance ($3,000/ course taught in some humanities). Too many PhDs. I know PhDs who are Uber drivers.
Sarkari job or software job. Rat race. No alternate manufacturing jobs.
