GRILLED SQUID | SHERSON LIAN

  • I always cook chicken , beef and fish, but today I'm gonna make something with squid. It is Grilled squid, a delightful dish that combines the smoky flavor of grilled seafood with the vibrant, tangy, and slightly spicy dipping sauce. This dish is popular in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, where grilling seafood is a common cooking method, and sauces are known for their bold flavors.

    Ingredients:
    ✏️2 pcs - Fresh Squid
    ✏️3 Cloves - Garlic
    ✏️3 - 4 nos - Shallots
    ✏️1 nos - Lemongrass
    ✏️4 nos - Birds Eye Chilli
    ✏️Corriander
    ✏️Palm Sugar
    ✏️ ½ Tsp - Turmeric
    ✏️Salt
    ✏️1 Tbsp - Sweet Sauce
    ✏️1 Tbsp - Fish Sauce
    ✏️1 Tsp - Tamarind Paste
    Dipping Sauce:
    ✏️3 Cloves - Garlic
    ✏️1 Handfull - Corriander
    ✏️10 nos - Birds Eye Chilli
    ✏️2 nos - Lime (Squeeze)
    ✏️2 ½ Tsp - Sugar
    ✏️1 Tbsp - Sweet Soy Sauce
    ✏️1 ½ Tbsp - Fish Sauce
    Dressing:
    ✏️ Ulam

      Thank you! Well it really depends on a few factors, first is the heat intensity of your electric grill. Then its the size of the squid. Something like mine was about 250-300gms/ squid and it was on high heat for 4-5mins tops. Flipping occasionally. Nothing worse then spending good money on squids then over cooking them. Hope this helps :)
