Excellent video! Straight forward explanation of what you are doing and why also your video work is clear and concise. Thank You.
Thanks for the very detailed video. I just installed mines today (10-10-23) following your step by step and it worked out great. Drove it a few minutes over humps and uneven roads and notice the difference right away from previous drive without the correction kit. This is a must have. Thanks for putting time to making this video and thank you DR_KDSS for making this kit. 💯 👍
I did the same 120ft for everything but panhard bar I did at 96ft also haven't had any issues
Thank you for the video. I installed this kit after a 2.5 inch Ironman Lift and the Panhard bar is back to level. It only takes about an hour. The kit itself is really high quality.
How’s the Ironman lift working?
This bold on Kit from Dr. KDSS for the 5th gen also works on 4th gens I Installed same kit on my v8 4th gen
Thanks for the great video. I would suggest marking the bolts with a white paint pen (both on the bolt and surface they’re fastened to) to monitor if the bolts move or back-out.
Could always go back and check torque after a few miles on and off road to see if it stays tight.
Great detailed video, just got mine delivered from Dr.KDSS,I’m installing them today.Glad that you can install it without taking off the rear driver side tire..thanks
I heard if you have an adjustable aftermarket panhard rod, you don't need this. But I guess it's good to keep as close to OEM angles as much as possible.
That is incorrect. The adjustable track bar will only recenter the axle, it will not correct the angle. I actually went through that first. After reading more I installed a panard correction bracket and it was a night and day difference over choppy roads.
Congratulations on your excellent and explicit video!!!!!
Good one! I just did one but opted out for welding it as you did on the 3rd gen. Seems like it works just as well.
Very informative and straight forward. Thank you for the vid.
Thanks for this....
Well illustrated, thanks for sharing..
Did anyone have problems with holes lining up?
I got my correction kit for my 4th gen in red
Thanks for the install video! This Drkdss just on my other account. ❤❤
I need to update the videos again. Yes you are good with 95lbs on the main factory bolt location. But 125lbs on the rest. Honestly the loctite and some hash marks will be good.
Hi, I have a 2000 model Toyota Hilux Surf (also known as 4 Runner). After installing a 2-inch lift kit, I've noticed that the rear right side is lower than the left side, giving it a tilted appearance. Any suggestions on how to address this issue?
Very detailed and thorough install video. What are your thoughts on installing KDSS FRONT SWAY BAR END ADAPTERS & Front KDSS SWAY BAR OUTER BUSHING from DR. KDSS?
My TRD Pro is not KDSS equipped, so I can’t comment on the swaybar adapters.
Hi thanks for the video! It helped a lot when I installed my kit. Do I need a wheel alignment after this and the other Dr.Kdss stuff is installed?
Dr. KDSS says no.
The things the shop DOES NOT tell you when you get a lift kit installed. So glad I stumbled on this video! In your honest opinion, what is the worse case scenario if you do not do this install on a lifted 4Runner? I currently run the BP-51s and 285s and obviously stock panhard hah!
Does it fix the lean?
Still looks like the bar should be adjusted higher by Dr.KDSS.
How much rear lift do you have?! Looks like 4" compared to my 2"
Great idea I'm in Australia and have a toyota prado 150 series which I lifted 50mm or 2 inch that is the same chassis as a FJ cruiser , will this kit fit my prado ?
I recommend reaching out to DRKDSS drkdss.com/. They are very responsive.
Maybe just tq bar to an even 100
Nicely done! How many inches from the middle of the original location to the middle of the new mounted location has it been raised on your setup (using the higher 2nd hole) and how many inches is the raise just to the first hole?
I didn’t take any measurements. I do know that the rear axle is now more centered to the vehicle with my 3 inch lift and HD springs.
@@theoverlanded Ah ok good math for y our 3 inch lift. thanks for that!
Great video. How does it ride now with the correction ? I’ve been thinking of doing this to mine.
The overall ride isn’t changed, other than eliminating the “bump steer” sensation. I definitely recommend some sort of panhard correction if you are running a lift.
Will it hit the body when offroading or bounsing? Or do u need add bumpstop
I put longer bump stops on when I installed my lift.
Great install video brother. Did you notice any difference in right hand curves while driving?
Before or after? No issues with right turns noticed.
@@theoverlanded After. I my rig doesn't feel as planted on long right have curves at highway speeds. I'm wondering if the panhard correction kit would help that
I can’t comment on that, but if you’ve got a lift then I strongly recommend some sort of panhard correction.
What did you do with the ABS line?
I zip tied it. I think I showed that in the video.
Are you lifted 3 inches in the rear also? Or is it 3 inches front and less in the rear?
I’ve got HD springs in the back, so a bit more than 3 inches.
@@theoverlanded thanks
What size is your lift on your 5th gen 4runner ???
I have the ToyTec Boss Aluma Series 2.5 Performance Suspension System 3 inch lift.
you put anti seize on the wrong bolt.. ps. don't use your hands as a hammer, you'll never win.
How lift are you running? Front and rear? Thanks
I have the ToyTec Boss Aluma Series 2.5 Performance Suspension System 3 inch lift.
