Bought myself a folding firebox gas stove with titanium diffuser at the first opportunity of finding it for sale in the UK.
Have tried it out and even used it as a mini gas barbecue but on this occasion decided to try it out with my titanium honey stove. They compliment each other beautifully.
Went out and cooked lunch for two. Not the best cooking conditions but managed to cook up a wonderful lunch. Hope you enjoy the video.

Impressed by your cooking skills. Great excuse to get outside. I can't currently justify a firebox but your videos certainly illustrate their quality.

Great video. No errors no progress, so use that pot gripper. Hard to beat a firebox product. I noticed you also had with you a Firemaple product, one of the few Chinese companies offering quality gear.

Always enjoy watching you cook. Many thanks for the video.😊 There seems to be some of your kit I don't know about or haven't looked for.

Glad you enjoyed it. It was a bit of a rush as weather so changeable. I use a lot of Firebox products as really like them. Honey stove is from www.backpackinglight.co.uk/ table is a Leeda specimen table. Point noted on the kit I use will start putting the details in the description so anyone interested can look them up 👍

I agree, it is a brilliant bit of cooking kit. Shipping costs are really high. You probably also have import duty. I have the same issue when Firebox bring out new kit. I would love to buy it but the additional costs make it unrealistic ☹️

Your lamb dish looks great! Knowing that you come from Trangia gas stove, how well did the new firebox gas stove work compare to trangia one? I am interested to buy one of it, but I am put off by the price of trangia. Thanks!

I am still experimenting with the Firebox gas. Trangia or Firebox? There is not really a straight forward answer. I am not sure they should be compared like for like. The first question is what do you need a gas stove for. Firebox is lighter and packs down a little smaller and is great for smaller diameter pots. Trangia build quality is better and appears to be more efficient. Firebox has a unique feature of boil plate this actually works and helps to spread out flame so you do not get a central hot spot. They are both great gas stoves but I cannot recommend one or the other. Apologies, that does not answer your question but like I said there is not a straight forward answer. 👍

@@InfoZhedExplore Thanks! I think that's why Trangia is selling at a higher price.

@@icelander123the firebox burner has an adjustable fuel air mixture adjustment and a really nice scorch plate that absolutely is a game changer. You can grill over the plate also. And even though it has a smaller head it spreads the flames wider than the trangia burner. That being said, the trangia burner is heavier duty and seems to work better in wind. Both work great. If you’re gonna simmer and cook the firebox burner is the deal. If you want to boil and cook hot the trangia is good.

I agree that the flame plate does a great job of spreading the flame. Firebox Burner great for small pots without flame plate. It’s lighter and packs down a little smaller. Build quality is good but the Trangia has the edge on build quality. Both perform excellently. So I guess it’s down to personal preference and how they are going to be used. Both are excellent gas stoves 👍

Nice video...what gas canister are you using please

I use butane gas cartridges with an adapter so that they Work with a screw thread. The adapters are available from Amazon/eBay etc for very little money and a pack of four gas cartridges run for around £5 so for me it’s very economical. Not everyone gets on with this system as they do not understand how the cartridges work but with a little understanding they work perfectly unless in extreme cold and probably high altitude. Gosh that answer was a little long winded hope it helped you 👍
