Liverpool fan here,this is a top bloke.There are no easy games this season, but Liverpool scoring two goals again (var messed up) with 10 men are now favorites
Not transforming the club at all, spurs literally couldn’t muster anything of note against 9 men with a corrupt VAR system gifting them 3 points.
You can see this is the exact same Spurs that are so spursy they won’t win anything unless decisions like this game go for them all season. And even then they won’t catch City because City are pretty much unstoppable.
So enjoy 4/5th this year, it’s as good as it’s going to get. Still the participation trophy of making the CL is enough to keep spurs fans happy - has to be enough as you don’t win anything ever 😂.
Final point - as a middle-aged man following football for 30 years, spurs are the best team/closest to the top that don’t win anything ever and that’s 3 decades. It makes no sense how they can never win anything.
As for Ange, not a bad word to say about the guy. Seems a top bloke. I don’t imagine it will stay the same for long. Hope I am wrong as Spurs deserve to win some stuff. Again with City as an opponent and needing 95 points or favourable cup draws, again I can’t see this changing. Prove me wrong spurs. The reality is that Son could easily provide the goals we'd get from Harry... probably even surpass the average number. He's scoring like crazy, and that's with an injured leg. Hopefully Brennan can be the player to provide a bit of depth since he's got a fairly decent scoring record. Just a bit unlucky with injuries

you cant blame the manager for decisions made by referees.. he clearly stated he doesn't like VAR or agree with it and preferred the game when errors and mistakes were human and said no mater the amount of technology the game will never be perfect. he gave Liverpool massive credit and said even at 10 men they can hurt teams because they have world class players... people need to remember Ange is a Liverpool fan. I didn't see the second red card but in my opinion the first was a defo red... i know the player went for the ball and rolled over it but he endangered the player and could have seriously injured him... if he broke his leg or ankle people wouldn't be even talking about it... its just unfortunate ... however i'm just going to watch the highlights to see the second. PS I'm a neutral don't support either.

You don’t send players off for injuring a player or else the spurs player who injured Gakpo should’ve gone. If you’ve played the game you know that wasn’t a red, and with Neville saying it wasn’t says everything.
The offside is a factual decision unlike a red card. Like goal line technology is either over the line or not, it’s either on or off and he was on.

@@GratuitousGrumbling he didn’t go studs first. He put his foot on the ball then connected with the player. It was a coming together which happens in 50-50 challenges. If these are now red cards, then every other match will have one and the game will be transformed. The problem is the VAR showed a still frame of the connection which looks bad, giving the impression it was worse than it was. Even Gary Neville said it was not a red as like me, he’s played the game and understands these situations.
Edit: Gakpo was injured by the defender landing on him. He was already injured for the goal and kicking the ball hurt his already injured leg.

Regardless of the atrocities the ref committed, the game was tense. Can't say I'm mad when Liverpool played fantastic even with 9 men. They are playing great and I'm loving Ange but I'm alittle disappointed with there performance against a 9 man Liverpool, they weren't able to change there tactics to apply to the new suitiation, instead of using the wingers to play centrally against a Liverpool defence wasn't working, they didn't see they had to use kulu and Solomon to stretch the defence by playing far wide

When you play against 9 men, it's harder to score against compared to having 11 players on the pitch because the remaining 9 compact and close down spaces and can no longer play their original style that would've allowed them to be more open as they too will look to attack. After losing 2 players, Liverpool effectively parked the bus and with a team of Liverpool's quality, being able to score becomes difficult. Ange and Spurs are still transitioning and will improve in time. Though, that wasn't the best Spurs performance.

Ange is wrong, mistake is a stochastic happening, that means a mistake should affect all teams equally. If mistakes always occur to hamper a particular team, or help a particular team, then it is not a mistake, it is corruption. The whole game, all the “mistakes” hampered LFC and helped Spurs, isn’t that an amazing coincidence.
Liverpool has benefited from mistakes plenty before. If mistakes Benefit both sides evenly, then they are not mistakes because at the end of the they are going to benefit someone and most of the time is always the home team.

Semi-automated Offside Technology is already here and used by Serie A and the World Cup. It's essentially 100% correct. The English referees refused to use it because they wanted to keep their jobs and continue to unilaterally decide matches with their incompetence (corruption). I’m a spurs fan and that’s not a red card in my opinion. I see why the VAR crap has given it but in real time it’s not. He hasn’t gone in high and he hasn’t gone to hurt the spurs player. He’s got his foot 6” off the floor and unfortunately it’s rolled over the ball and the momentum has taken his foot and studs showing over the ball making it look worse. VAR is here because of fans and managers moaning non stop. The game wasn’t broken before all this technology but it’s broken now and we don’t need it. Have goal like technology for the ball crossing the line and that’s it. Leave it to be a game that we once had which was free flowing and fun. Now it’s just ruined by VAR. Liverpool goal was onside also but it’s all irrelevant as spurs won and even with 11 v 11 no one can predict the end result so no need to keep moaning about it all

Spurs are a better watch. There not going to challenge for the league or top four I don’t think. Squad depth and quality not good enough. You would expect any team to have more ball at home against 10 men never mind 9 but they didn’t create enough. Yes Allison made to great saves but if your saying you deserved to win a game against 9 men because the keeper makes two saves then that says it all. Spurs will get beat especially away from home against City, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton and Villa that’s 15 points dropped there
