7:13 omg,this poor donkey carried a lot of weight in his life, too much at all, you can see it by the curved down ridge of his back. Thanks for giving all these creatures sanctuary.
Its not enough to confiscate the donkeys from the abusers.....the abusers should have to support these innocent animals for the rest of the animals life!!!! The cost should not be the sole burden of the good hearted rescuers!! So sick and tired of abusers getting away with this sort of evilness with very little if any retribution!!! Hit these idiots where it hurts them the most......their wallet!! Thank you for taking in these little lost souls and giving them a life worth living!

God Bless this wonderful people who gives the donkeys the safety, comfort and attention they never felt before. From living as working, abused animals everything changed..... Finally they are treated with respect and dignity and most importantly LOVE for their remaining life...

If I'm ever lucky enough to have a holiday in Crete, I guarantee I'll visit this beautiful donkey sanctuary (and Takis shelter!).🥰 ❤ It's so hard to watch this though. They've never known affection their whole life, only beatings? I'm almost in tears. Such wonderful, healing, gentle beings deserve far better. I hope the Greek attitude to animals changes in the next generations 🙏🐴🙏❤

Thank you Valia for this beautiful video! It is too sad listening and watching the way these beautiful gentle donkeys are treated...absolutely disgusting!! The men in the video piling on more things on the donkeys back, shocking, don’t they realise they are living beings and not trucks or machines??? Ignorance is the worst of enemies, but how ignorant can a human be surely they know what they are doing?? Made me soooo angry 😡😡😡😡 i wanted to hurt those men too sooo badly, even though i am not a violent woman, just a very hurt being, who is sick and tired of seeing heartless people like them abuse animals!! But its not just there, its everywhere in the world and it breaks my heart that i cannot do anything about that!!
Having said that, my heart has joy seeing those babies rescued and living a much better life, safe and loved, and i thank and bless each of those people for their kindness, compassion and dedication...may they always be abundant in their needs to help the suffering animals!!! Donkeys are wonderful, beautiful animals, but also very wise! So much so that many heartless people treat such a beautiful animal so badly and even make such an animal suffer (often after these donkeys have worked very hard for these heartless people, until they could no longer physically and then just like dirt on the side were thrown ... These heartless people (monsters) get their punishment for this). Wonderful people are they who take care of all these sweet, beautiful, poor donkeys so well and give them everything they need so much !!! so much love these donkeys get from them! Thank you!! and many sweet hugs to all these beautiful, sweet donkeys xxxjes

regarding the donky who collapsed under so much weight and then was beaten . . . . did the police fine or jail the man who beat him??
Animal abusers are never jailed here. Never. Even if they deliberately murder the animal. If they are found guilty they are given a suspended sentences and a fine. I'm not sure what happened in this particular case.

Thank you for rescuing donkeys in Greece. As i have made comment before why are they abused in so many countries. I love Greek people but i dont love the way they treat their animals dogs & donkeys. Is it the older generation who still treat them like work beasts?

It saddens me to hear how we use animals as machines to complete our work. In America, the horse has been abused for hundreds of years not only pulling trollies, timber, stone yet also for entertainment pulling carriages in the blistering heat of the cities to make tourists happy.
