Find the live version of "Where Rainbows Never Die" by The Steeldrivers. It'an IBA Award winning Bluegrass band that was Chris Stapleton's gig before he went solo. The first line goes I'm an old man and can't do nothing, the young folks dont pay me no mind.
Adele cover their song Midnight Train to Memphis.
Chris is the prolific musical artist of our time. // Did you notice the lady that sings in the band? That's his wife that has also given him 5 kids in her spare time.
Thanks so true love and you are so infectious funny
You need to watch his National Anthem performance from the Super Bowl
It's called shallow minds
HIs wife Morgane, who sings harmony and writes many of his songs, doesn’t receive NEAR enough credit. She had a record deal when they met. His plan was to go to college to become an engineer! When they sing I close my eyes, rock my body to the music and they take me to that place only true artists can. Much love to all in oneness🙏🏻❤️🕊
Chris writes his own songs! Maybe his wife writes some but not many!!! Do your research please.
I love it when people say they don't listen to country and then Chris opens his mouth.
He is a country artist but this song is blues. The time signature, the chord progression and the vocal phrasing is blues.
Blows my mind that people are just discovering Chris Stapleton. He's an absolute legend that's been around a couple decades.
For real. For anyone who is just finding him, Watch some of his interviews so you can understand and understand who he is and the work hes put in. Oh, and can't forget to mention his amazing wife.
For any of you dog lovers and owners out there who have lost their their companion. Listen to Maggie's song.
Heck yes went to Fayetteville Arkansas to watch him years ago when he was with the band Steele Drivers.
His voice is just amazing
Blows my mind also....& the fact that he is responsible for hundreds of songs that he wrote for big name artists well before he blessed the world with his one of a kind vocals.
@@crystal6708 I had just somewhat recently discovered Maggie's song... Made me ball my eyes out.. Especially I had a golden retriever named Maggie also. She was a great dog, super smart.
You might wanna check out "Cold" live at the CMAs...its blues worthy of any B.B. King, Tbone Walker, etc. Blues list out there...its beautiful...Glad you went here KSO..
Definitely!
I can't believe nobody recommended 'Sometimes I cry' his solo performance. Probably best non Hip Hop song i've heard in a decade. Just a man and his guitar and coldest voice i ever heard.
The lovely lady singing backup is indeed his wife. And you're right, the first time I heard this song, one sentence in and I was hooked. He has so many great songs! This is a rabbit hole you will never want to climb out of. - Great reaction, it's a joy to watch someone like you who loves great music!
"Tennessee Whiskey" was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and first performed by David Allen Coe in 1981 and George Jones in 1983. Chris and Morgane (his wife... the woman helping him sing here... they have 5 kids together) are very good song writers that are well-known as such in the country music industry, but they didn't write this. Chris definitely made it his own though.
Truth.
Oh yeah, I know it’s one of the hits he didn’t write, he’s written a lot of other peoples hits though, Adele, Kenny Chesney, ect. But this song was made for Chris, no question about it
"You have to treat every piece of art with unlimited vulnerability." Wise words spoken true from the heart.
Bro... love the reaction. You know he done a cover to 'its a man's world'? Its fucking amazing! Dude is a G
And the best part is that they saw him in the audience, asked him to join them in their tribute to James Brown and, well, the rest is pure magic! Pure impromptu magic.
Chris is a legend. Couple must listens. What are you listening too, Sometimes I Cry, Cold , I was wrong . Better live then recordings.
I just discovered your page and was about to smack the like based on your enthusiasm but then when you said your story about addiction, I hit the sub button. I've been clean for over 10 years (green don't count, its necessary in keeping me sober lol) and I am over here cheering for your sobriety! Good on you, have a wonderful week!! ♥
The scary part is he is a song writer by profession. He has written songs for everyone. He just likes singing for fun. especially with his lovely wife who you see in the video.
Oh Yes.. Chris is amazing.. If you only hear one more Chris Stapleton song please let it be SOMETIMES I CRY... You be blown away
This man has so much soul in his voice its ridiculous.... straight legend
This song is worth putting every reaction on hold until it gets done on the live stream
Kso, if you dig him that much, make sure to check out “You Should Probably Leave”, “Parachute”, “The Devil Always Make Me Think Twice” and “Broken Halos”. Everything Chris Stapleton is awesome! He’s truly unbelievable.
Love from Brazil!
It's good seeing you enjoy this his voice is pure soul.
Chris is a legend. PLEASE do Cold live at the CMAs!
Also, if you like all those singers, do you listen to The Weeknd?
This is a rabbit hole you jump into feet first. If you like guitar gods you should check out Stevie Ray Vaughan doing Texas Flood at the El Mocambo. He is from Texas and was a monster blues guitarist. It's another rabbit hole you will love following. Keep giving us these reactions. Awesome, especially your Harry Mack breakdowns!!!!
This is such a bluesy version of this song and by far my favorite. It's a mixture of Blues, Country, Southern Rock and even some Bluegrass. His pickin and rough raw vocals accompanied by his wife, Morgana's beautiful harmony. Don't get much better than this.
I’m going to his concert in Houston in October! He’s soooo smooth. I can’t wait to see him live
I saw him in June at the Gorge here in Washington state. I'm still talking about it... feelin' it. 💗 Hydrate the week leading up to it so you don't have to pee and miss something 😆
I saw him in Charleston WV in July Incredible!
Stapleton is phenomenal!! I'm going to my 2nd concert of his in October. His wife's voice is fantastic too.
I am a recovered alcoholic and I have been sober for 11 years
Im a hip hop head like most of the people watching you but i do listen to other stuff too and Chris Stapleton is one of the people i listen to. He is such a great singer/songwriter/musician. He is good in the studio but his lives just hit different.
Idk if anyone told you but the lady singing with him is actually his wife.. ( Edit : Just seen that you know that this is his wife)
The song *Cold* and *Sometimes i cry* is definitely worth checking out. (Live.) When you listen to Chris Stapleton you gotta listen to his lives. He is at his best when he is doing it live.
Also his song *Fire away* (music video) is a beautiful song and the video is almost as good as the song. Its about mental health and its hard to keep the tear canals dry on that one.
Cant wait to see some more Chris Stapleton.
He is AMAZING but this song was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. It was originally sung by David Alan Coe in 1981. Love your reactions bro!
The best part is that his wife is on stage singing with him. They are amazing. He has written so many hits!
Yeah he has.. Except he didn’t write this one
I like the part when he sings the band in
He's absolutely amazing. Literally he was played at the cookout -- I'm not kidding one of my cousins played Tennessee Whiskey at the memorial day cookout (in May) and I'm blown away. He's great. Beautiful voice definitely sings blues
Thank you thank you. Next SOMETIMES I CRY. I think his best song
Chris Stapleton is cooooldddd
I'm attracted to authenticity regardless of genre. Chris has it by the boatload and so do you! Subscribed.
This song depicts a man rescued from alcoholism by love. I think one reason we love it is that we all have something we wish we could be rescued from and this song is about hope. Hello to that cute pupper, btw.
He has so much soul!
I love how he looks at his wife when he sings. She almost forgot to come in and start singing lol.
Love how rappers and other people are finding Chris and other artists ❤❤❤❤❤
Im a long time fan of this song, I don’t know anything else he’s done but song had me the first time i heard it
When I first heard him I did not know what he looked like. When I first saw him I was and still am in awe. This man is country blues to the absolute finest. 💯
So much soul
Chris Stapleton is THE TRUTH 👏👏👏
The genuine pure unadulterated enjoyment you just displayed from watching is just amazing! If you want some of his OLDER stuff to hit you in the feels, listen to a song called “where rainbows never die” by the Steeldrivers, he sang with them for a stint before going solo.
Keep up the great work 🤘🏻
That is his wife he’s Singing with i think. And she’s the one he’s singing about. KSO got all kinds of reaction dimensions.
Time to take the Chris Stapleton journey!!! Dude doesn’t have a bad song! Check out death row and sometimes I cry live at the bing lounge
Take a George Jones journey
Singing with his wife means that all those emotions you "feel" in his music are directed at her and they are sooo real.
"If you don't like this shit, you and yo mama got somethin to work out." 🤣🤣🤣💀 FR!!! I bout spit out my coffee🤣 That's the truth right there!🤣 Check your heart.
Dude. He's singing to his wife. Right on stage 😊
It's so fun watching people react to this song. It's not one of his originals. He can't be pigeon holed in one genre because he has that "IT" factor. He makes you feel it. Even his covers have his style on it.
When you have a singer who sounds that damn good live, you know you have found someone with serious talent. I could listen to him all day.
This is one of the purest, most honest reactions I have witnessed..... I am going to look for more of yours
The Dipper showing his musical range. Love it bro!
Roflmfao 🤣. I 💜 Chris Stapleton, he is amazing. 🔥🔥🔥 reaction, TY!!
So impressive that you mentioned Jason Mraz! I like where your taste is heading here. Should be fun for both of us!
There is a lifetime's worth of wonderful creations across genres out there, both contemporary and classic. An open mind will relish the journey.
Chris Stapleton has so much soul. I was was wrong at Austin city limits is a must see. His jam at the end would make The great B.B. KING proud.
Love Chris Stapleton ❤He will be the legend of our time. Mark my words. He is even better live❤ He is a genius like you said. Listen to I was wrong live. I love your reaction. Please keep up your great work. Love you❤
Yes that's his wife, Morgane, who he has 5 children with. Chris was a song writter before he finally blessed the world with his smooth, gifted voice that can undress any woman just by his lyrics. He's written well over 200 songs for famous singers from Sheryl Crow, George Strait, Adele, Little Big Town, to Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton & SO MANY OTHERS! Let's not forget the many talents he has slayed the stage with from Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran just to name a few. This man is nothing less than pure genius & always remains humble & in touch with his fans. His wife, Morgane, like her husband, is a talent in a category all of her own. However, pair these two together & you have been blessed by the two most gifted music artists of all time. Anytime she's on stage with her husband she never tries to steal the spotlight although she very easily could. Her voice is so powerful that she oftentimes has to reel it back in. To say these two are legends is an understatement & the country music genre is privileged to have them. Though individually & collaboratively they both fit very well into many genres of music, Chris claims his heart will always belong to the country music genre however he also holds the blues/rock genre very close to heart & humbly accepts any other genre that welcomes his music. He is, by far, the greatest talent of our time. Check out how many songs he has written & how many were hits. I think you'll be surprised at some of the songs & people he is responsible for putting at #1. Also, check out his performances at the Grand Ole Opry. While Chris was the gift in the background for many years for many artists, when his voice first hit the sound waves he left the country music world speechless & wanting more. He couldn't get his music out fast enough. Many solute Chris for being the one to break the barriers & merge many country music artists, rappers, blues & rock artists to give the world a new genres such as country rap, country blues & country rock as we have seen over the past few years more & more artists from different genres collaborating.
Love that you're reacting to Chris Stapleton. One of the best concerts I have ever been to!
Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove wrote this song 1981. Many singers but Chris the best I have heard.
I love it when my feed throws me off!! Here’s a man that could be stereotyped into a group but then you hear how articulate he speaks! Wow! I love it when completely wrong sometimes! Thanks for this!
I have recently seen him in concert and he introduced the entire band to the introduction to Tennessee Whiskey. It was off the hook.
This song is one of my karaoke regulars. I won a karaoke contest using this song!!! Also, you really NEED to get on the newest Harry Mack. 72 is some different shit
Just base on your knowledge I know you have a broad range and depth of music but I'm still pleasantly surprised you're doing something outside of rap, Dope reaction as usual!
I loved your reactions and comments to Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey"❤❤
I've been a recovering alcoholic , coke addict since 1 - 89 and I'll be 74 on the 27th. One day at a time and you know what I'm talking about. Seems like everyone's reaction is like yours that are first time hearing this
The song was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. A singers David Allen Coe’s version didn’t vibe. However, in 1983, country singer George Jones’ version did resonate with the public, and me.
This song by Chris Stapleton is a re-recorded new version of the original, it’s a “cover.”
Yet, because of his gifts as a singer and musician, his version has become the modern version that has brought him so many new fans that didn’t know of him, or just didn’t listen to ‘country.’ And the woman singing harmony is his wife Morgan. They’ve been married over 10 years and they have five children together.
Brother Stapleton sings Country / Blues-Soul.
He has an incredible range and complete control of his vocal register. An incredibly talented man.
- Thank you.
Chris is THE man. I just love him. This was the Best reaction I’ve seen! Also I would like to say I’m proud of where you’ve come from. Your entertaining, funny and Just seem like a fun guy! The lady’s name is Morgan Stapleton his wife. You should hear Morgan sing You are my Sunshine! I know it’s not your type of music but she sounds like an ANGEL!! Thank you for sharing I truly enjoyed!❤️👊🏻
KSO it's an electric guitar...he has foot pedals to give it that sound
Haha was just gonna comment that. keith and chef on the same page
Enjoyed your reaction. Love watching the music that I love feeling the love.
Hello from Cody wyoming! You're fascinating, I love your energy!! You keep it up and I'll keep watching😁
I so enjoyed watching you during this reaction and listening to your meanings to the reaction. Blissings to you Sir. 💜🙏☝️
You got it right off the bat, it’s a song about addiction, not romance to a woman.
he's singing to his wife who's standing rite next to him, she's his backup singer.
Chris Stapleton?
Just throw darts at his catalog.
You cannot miss.
Off Catalog I recommend his cover of "It's a Man's World". It was an an improvasional performance when he joined the Shadowboxers on stage at The Basement East in Nashvile in 2015.
Backup Singer - Morgane Stapleton (Wife)
Bass Guitar - JT Cure
Drums - Derek Mixon
Chris - Reissue 1962 Jazzmaster with 1962 Princeton Amp (I think).
Chris isn't responsible for these lyrics. He is responsible for joining the lyrics of an old country song with the rift from an Etta James song. Which gave us something new.
Please do more Chris songs you won’t be disappointed!
Friend, it is so good! I'm in your tribe, AA...this song speaks to me. Appreciate you! I CAN NEVER hear this sing enough!
You are entertaining bro and you see love in broken places of the heart and you know musical talent in others and how to express it with true passion a fan from Australia God bess you!
Loved your reaction 👌🏼💯😎✨
This is probably my favorite reaction video yet! I want to be his best friend just check out every song! haha
This is one of my favorite songs of all time, even though I am mainly listen to R&B and Hip Hop.
First time here….you are amazing! I sooo enjoyed your reaction! Thanks!
Song was written by Dean Allan & Linda Hargrove in 1981, first released by David Allen Cole in 81
Your emotional reaction is what made the video for me. Dude your energy is off the charts! Haha..
Hello beautiful
Absolutely awesome recording 😊
I’m late but you like a whole School Girl on this one 😂😂😂 I love it!!! You can’t contain yourself Friend. ☠️☠️Love you and this is the first time watching you.
Omg I’m loving you and your reactions❤
I'm a scru fan, and I'm so glad I finally found the big dipper.
My Texas brother! You are so right about Austin. Just walk the sidewalks and joint after joint, you'll hear different music. If Austin hadn't turned into a shithole I'd be there every other weekend! God bless you and yours brother!!!🌞💛🙏☯️🌞
Chris is one of the best black performers out there. Gospel, soul, funk, rock, country. What else could you ask for?
Chris is a white guy
@@ambercasto3156 Are you telling me that the best soul performer is white? :)
COLD live at the CMA awards is my favorite Chris Stapleton video.
That is his wife from Georgia. He carries her on the road to every gig he has.
"If you don't like this kind of music, you don't like your momma."
Facts.
You are AWESOME!!! I loved your reaction to Chris!!! ❤
Been waiting on this one since the stream
My man! DOPE reaction! Listen: do "Whiskey Lullaby! (Brad Paisley and Alison Kraus)" before noon tomorrow. And grab that feels-blanket. It'll destroy, trust me!! ♥
