  • “Love is a father who carried his son in failure and cured him of failure". Steve Okeyo has known and lived failure over and over again. He captivates us with his humor as he tells us the number of times his father lifted him, this includes when he walked from class 7 to class 6 due to frustrations from the math teacher. His experience at his first high school after failing to get a calling letter to high school, made him realize that he needed to get a better quality of education to escape his current reality and create a new one. In this rich and perceptive talk, we get to see how failure and its accompanying experiences can build character and shape a life as Steve pays tribute to his father.

"He educated all his sisters children and they were eternally ungrateful" 😂😂 This is a statement that sadly reverberates around many families. This man is a good story teller.

I think the speakers should rehearse before the speech....or a written commentary to fill in gaps.....we are left wondering what is division one, which highschool did he go? Did he make to college... Is he successful now? He said he visits his father once a month...is that in the grave? Engage is doing great stuff....but improvement is necessary...
