Hono is just not for hot toys displays.
But a whole hono display will look awesome. They're creating a new market. And in my collection they will have their own section.

Dang! Keco made a good point on cohesion of collectibles. I think it is not just about where the figure was based on (i.e. movie vs comics), but the color, quality and details (I mean my CMS015 still looks good with the HT video game Spideys and the origins iron man still looks good with the movie iron men), but I really wanted a non-gooey(?) black costume.
CC is spot on about the price, I am surprised as well that the Hono Wolverine is actually cheaper than this, when this one has fewer accessories. I don't like that the trend (Wolvie, Magneto, Spidey) of the Hono price is going up though :p
No point thinking about it for me since I already paid for all 3 Honos (I'd be pissed off if they don't continue the comics-based X-Men) :p I just hate the timing - I have not recovered from the power of the dark side releases yet :(

I love the honest responses, for me, I mix and match my collection…I am passing on this Hono Spidey but I am keeping an eye on the X-men line cause with the exception of Hugh Jackman and X-2 Nightcrawler, i didn’t like the live action version actors so I can admire the characters with Hono line

In the comics the alien made itself look like the same material as the red. It also simulated regular clothes. When it bonded with eddie he just ran around in his drawers! After peter drove the symbiote away, he made a new suit based on it because he liked the stealth! I think this is a fantastic figure for spidey comic fans! You would have to go a whole shelf of comic characters though. So, you get two figures! 😉 Before and after he gets rid of it, depending if peter is carrying around his peter clothes in the web sack, as he didnt need to with the alien, who simulated his clothes also.

I do prefer the ps5 black suit over this comic figure. But for the price it's worth it. Here I would have to pay 410 for the ps5 but for this I'll have to pay like 200 for this. Might cop this

Just wanted to comment on why Spider-man is using a fabric black suit and it doesn't look like a symbiote. I don't think Hono was going for a living black suit, even though it says "(Symbiote Suit)", like the Hot Toys PS5 one did. Instead (I think) they're creating the fabric black suit that Black Cat personally makes for Peter, like in the comics.

And that’s exactly what I want 😂 always something for someone I guess. Plus, Hot Toys doesn’t seem to have any interest in making straight up comic book versions of characters. So bring em on, Hono.

So glad we got 2 in a row without Nat G. She seems nice but lord she gets on my nerves. The shows got amazing flow with Will, Keco and Dean. Those 3 are incredible host and have excellent and insightful points.
