Camp Snap Digital Camera VS Fujifilm Disposable Camera! (Camp Snap Review)

A hoard of digital point and shoot cameras claiming to provide the "film look" constantly flood my Instagram and TikTok with ads, and if you are seeing this video I'm gonna assume you've experienced the same thing. The latest company being shoved down my eye holes on social media is Camp Snap, and after much reluctance, I caved and purchased one... please don't judge me.
In this video, I will be putting the Camp Snap Digital Disposable camera up again a tried and true Fujifilm disposable camera to see if Camp Snaps' claim of having that "film looks" is legit.

Thanks, man. My middle schooler is going to camp and loves photography. Her peers usually want to review and veto photos and it drives her nuts, plus I don't want it to pull her out of the action. I'll still buy a disposable for rainy days, but this will be so much cheaper.

Nice comparison. I think if the flash on the camp snap were brighter I would definitely buy it, but a big part of the disposable camera look imo is the big obnoxious flash during nightscenes. Still cool though, btw the audio on this video was a little too quiet for me.
It works quite well as a flash in darker / night shots! But during the day it’s not bright enough for a fill light. If you enjoy the work flow of disposable cameras then you’d probably enjoy the camp snap!

I came to your video bc this comparison is exactly what I wanted.
But do me a favor and get more volume out of your videos. Had to increase volume by 50% on my TV. (Setting to 60 instead of leaving it at 40).
Slap a compressor on your master channel and set the makeup gain to +12db, making sure the final result doesn't clip/indicate red.

I also really enjoy the skin tones resulting from the dimmer flash. I wonder if it's possible to wire up another small led to the existing wiring. We'll see!
@@asand1234 there are some really crafty people out there so I wouldn't be surprised if we see video like "I modded a campsnap camera" coming eventually!
Honestly, I like this camera to just throw on the table when going out or doing something with friends.
Everyone like the play with it and I don't have to spend a fortune on film to get through a night.
The quality is worse to me yes. But the vibe and fun time is similar enough.
I still keep my Yashica MF1 for when I want to use a disposable styled camera. But it's getting too expensive to just give out to friends. At least until Pentax releases their half frame camera this summer.
There is another camera like Camp Snap, the flashback one35 which does almost everything right in terms of camera body, an actual flash. But you are required to send your images to their server for processing. But to be fair, the images do look much more like 90's poorly digitized film.
It’s for sure leaning on 90s digital but the image quality is a big step up from most of the similar cameras

Did you use any campsnap filters while taking the shots? In some of them I got Cinestill vibes
I honestly didn’t even know about the until I was almost done editing… I’m gonna make a brief follow up video on it! I’ll keep my eye out for that Cinestill vibe!

For sure less waste, but at the end of the day it comes down to personal taste and whichever camera you pick is ultimately the right choice for you!

Tbh I was originally gonna hop on the OG disposable camera bc #film buy, but the end you had me sold on the digit offering. I think if they sold it with better flash like you mentioned and a warm filter, it would be perfect.
Well there is an update on the warm filter front, but it might not be how you’d expect… I have a follow up video coming soon!!
