    Just for any viewers cummins is all metric spanners btw on all of there bolts internal and external
    The imperial stuff will get you out of trouble though just in case anyone only has metric spanners and sockets

    Good morning
    On the first high pressure line that you remove, on mine it's leaking,there's a gasket or o ring I need to replaced or do I need to replace the whole line??.
    Thank you

    Mine is spraying fuel out those bolts on top so the head is getting replaced

    So you mean to tell me that you / I don’t have to remove the whole assembly? In other words your saying that when the fuel pump goes out all you would replace is the head unit? And leave the rest of the assembly on? Only asking because I have one of my vehicles with a ISL 9 2350 CUM and I have no fuel pressure..

      If the problem is in the head then yes that's all you need to change.

    How did you diagnose that the pump needed a new head?

      Only the newer single cam engines have this pump.

    Do you happen to have any of the part numbers for the head, sealing washers, and the regulator?

    • @zedperformance
      @zedperformance  Před 2 lety +2

      Not off hand no, but if you log into quick serve you can look up any parts you need.

    Great video sir.! I have Cummins isx 400st my truck is loosing power at about 1600-1700 rpms going down the road no trailer. Do u think it might be caused by fuel pump failure.? Do u know how I can troubleshoot this issue? Thank you 🙏🏽

    • @zedperformance
      @zedperformance  Před 2 lety

      First thing I'd do is put new fuel filters on if you haven't yet, next would be check air filters. After that it would be good to get it it scanned and see if any codes come up.

      @@zedperformance yes sir. I’ve done all those things already. It just left the shop yesterday and the Mechanic deleted all codes except the amber check engine light but he told me it will not go out do to egr being deleted.? Also code j1939 datalink is on my dash idk if that would be the issue.? Thank u

    • @zedperformance
      @zedperformance  Před 2 lety +3

      @@Jreddygo Have you had the ecm tuned for the egr delete?
      For low on power I'd wanna scan the engine and make sure rail pressure is where it should be. Also you'll wanna check boost and make sure it's where it should be also.
      I don't know the specs off hand, but you can log onto cummins quick serve and create an account. That will give you access to every spec/procedure for your engine.

      @Jreddygo Před 2 lety

      @@zedperformance yes sir. That is what he was doing because I replaced my ecm with another reman one because originally it was giving me more issues. But now pretty much that’s my only issue is it’s loosing power. Once he connects the software can he check if I’m getting proper fuel pressures.?

    do you think this might help for 0559 code?

    • @youtubeisawesome2487
      @youtubeisawesome2487 Před 2 lety +4

      its the first place to start on a 559 code if your positive your not sucking air, also check the rollers and the cam for damage when you have it off.

    Nightmare of a system that costs 6000.00 to replace the high and low pressure pumps. And the ceramic injectors is another story
