"Black Metal: Do propasti" navazuje svým obsahem na třetí díl, což tedy znamená další příběhy z norské a polské blackmetalové scény, a taktéž z hájemství depresivního blacku.
Rozdílná je naopak forma, jelikož autor tentokráte pojal knihu formou rozhovorů s jednotlivými aktéry. Mezi nimi najdete např. Helheim, Urgehal, 1349, One Tail, One Head, Tsjuder, Black Altar, Besatt, Blaze of Perdition, Furia, Forgotten Woods, Hypothermia nebo Nocturnal Depression, ale taktéž i brazilské Mystifier a estonské Loits coby výjimky geografického rámce. Českého čtenáře pak jistě potěší zahrnutí domácího blackového projektu Trist.

Dear friends, the Black Metal chronicle gets richer still, for today, the Czech edition of the fourth, and thus far latest, volume of the Black Metal saga, penned by the English writer and journalist Dayal Patterson, is published!
“Black Metal: Into the Abyss”, or “Do propasti” in Czech, picks up where the third volume let off, which means even more stories from the Norwegian and Polish black metal scenes, as well as from the realm of depressive black metal.
On the other hand, there is a difference in form, as the author opted this time to construe the volume as a book of interviews. Among those he talked with are e.g. Helheim, Urgehal, 1349, One Tail, One Head, Tsjuder, Black Altar, Besatt, Blaze of Perdition, Furia, Forgotten Woods, Hypothermia or Nocturnal Depression, but also the Mystifier of Brazil and Loits of Estonia as exceptions to the content geography framework. The Czech readership will surely appreciate the inclusion of the local black metal project Trist.
There are 21 interviews in total, spanning 337 pages with many photos complementing the text as usual.
