FFVII Rebirth Jenova Lifeclinger (No Damage, Hard Mode)

Due to the RNG I did use checkpoints for phase 3 and 4. And before I get into the RNG, First off, I had the worse team possible for this. I did this with the worst team possible lol.
If you get Red Xiii for final phase, itâs free bc he can use stardust ray and has mobility too. I get Cait Sith and Barret in final phase⊠lol. And also, the RNG in every single phase made it extremely annoying.
Every single phase has RNG with Jenova Life Clinger. It got very annoying. And by that I mean, phase 3 with Tifa and Cait, sometimes, jenova lets you hit wing with Tifa, other times, your ability will just miss. Nothing you can do but restart bc you just wasted ability and it wasnât your fault. So yeah, Iâm happy with using checkpoints on this. Too much BS to deal with.
Phase 1, have to quickly throw out unfettered fury and quickly do starshower in order for him to retreat. Gets some hits in with red to build ATB. Next, use sleep. Now you might be wondering why am I hitting barrier. Itâs to use enough ATB with Red so that in phase 2 I can start with a team synergy attack with him and Cloud.
Phase 2, start off with team synergy, and then pressure and stagger and damage.
Phase 3, take advantage of Tifa an Caitâs dodge team synergy. And then quickly get Cait to do limit so he can be immune to damage. Have tifa run around t avoid damage.
Red and Barret, can use limits to immune to damage. Cloud and Yuffie- you have to wait a bit before being able to use yuffie limit. Once you do, quickly switch to Cloud and get ready to parry.
Phase 4, use stop, haste, time your blizzaga and thunders, RNG here- you either get time to do focused thrust or jenova just fires at you lol.

1) Why Does Tifa and Barret not start at full HP? Bc I forgot to go to the bench and heal everyone when doing this LOL đ
2) Used checkpoint for phase 3 and 4. Theres too much RNG annoyance to deal with it when going for no damage at the start of phase 3 with tifa and cait with hitting the wing. and in phase 4 when jenova is pressured. And, I have the worst team possible for this at the end (Cait and BarretâŠ.) If you want to read about the RNG annoyance, I typed everything in the video

I guess the wait for part 3 is gonna be a lil bit easier than the wait for part 2 was , because we have so many things to do and to practice now on Rebirth đ

Thank you!! đ honestly the only places I saw the most RNG is phase 1, and the start of phase 3. Sometimes, Tifa will just miss the wing attack, it would drive me nuts LOL. Other times, Caitâs limit wouldnât do the full damage itâs supposed to the wing. The wing at start phase having so much RNG was really annoying! And same with phase 4 after Jenova gets pressured.

First, congrats! But man, the starting team actually changes depending on your affinity? I got Tifa and Yuffie in my first and hard playthrough I assumed it was fixed! I also got Barret and Cait twice for the final phase.
Thank you!! đ I have heard people say that the ultimania book confirms that it has to do with your affinity from your first playthrough. Honestly I wish I knew more, waiting for the book to come out and be translated! Yuffie in phase 1 is sooooo good. You can do her team spell blade attack with Cloud for great damage. If you get Red Xiii for final phase, you can just throwout stardusy ray and it breaks jenovaâs barrier and pressures her. Plus, Red has mobility. Having Barret and Cait final phase when doing no damage was pretty painful for me haha

So each phase truly is rng on your team? Wish there was a way to steer the selection
I think it has to do with what team choices and relationships you made your first play. Wish we knew more, but all I do know is that you canât change the team you get at all. Even on NG+. I think it has to do with what team members you were close with your first play that determines who everyone gets here.
Now do your hard mode no materia đ . but congrats awesome work
