      Perhaps this rubber gives him the confidence to do that because, as he says, he doesn't feel like the ball is going to fly off the end if he rips into it. Maybe this is a good rubber for him to use in competition.

    Hello Dan, thank you for posting this review. It would have been awesome if you would compared the 7, 9 and X versions together as there is a huge fan base for the entire Rakza series. Also, you have reviewed control oriented rubbers in the past. I was very inclined to check how Rakza stacks up against other control oriented rubbers like Xiom Vega X or Butterfly Rozena. Another tip here is that how rubbers pair up with Limba top blades Vs. Koto top blades. This changes the performance and output as well.

    Iv'e been playing with the Rakza series for over 2 years now. Rakza 7 on the backhand and Rakza 9 on the forehand. I totally agree with what was being said in the video. Awesome controll, good blocking. As i counter player, i highly recommend using this rubber. I have awesome controll with counter topspin close to the table with both Rakza 7 and 9. While 7 having more controll and 9 having more spin.

    • @dhrlfska90
      @dhrlfska90 Před 2 lety +1

      A little late, but I use the regular on my backhand. And I can't ask for any better rubber for my bh. It's very affordable too. People that want "faster faster" stuff don't know what they are talking about, unless they are someone rated USATT 2200+
      You are not losing points because your "bh rubber isn't faster enough" most of the times.

    • @blueheart9873
      @blueheart9873 Před rokem +1

      Depends on how strong your BH is. The soft version is easier to play but if you feel like the ball sinks too far into the rubber and loses a bit of speed than I'd suggest going for the regular version. As a BH dominant player I like the regular version more because I tend to do a lot of hard flicks and opening spins with BH and not play very passive on that side

    You can find speed and spin in the Soft version of the Rakza 7. I'm playing with it in my forehand, and I found that I produce more spin with my Rakza 7 Soft than when I tried out an MX-P. I think it would be interesting for you to have a look at this rubber, now that you played with the "normal" version.

    • @C0BEX
      @C0BEX Před 3 lety +1

      You must be doing something wrong. The Soft version can only be faster or spinnier if you can't compress the normal version good enough.

    • @avengermm3322
      @avengermm3322 Před 3 lety +1

      @@C0BEX I don't see what I could do wrong by giving both rubbers the same tests. I've played with both (R7Soft and MX-P) for at least 2 hours and this is what came out for me. I've tried them both on the exact same blade too. And I get more speed and more spin out of the Rakza than I get out of the MX-P.

    • @C0BEX
      @C0BEX Před 3 lety +2

      @@avengermm3322 Can't say anything about MX-P. But I played both Rakza 7 standard and Soft not just for some hours, but I went through a couple of sheets. The standard version is definitely faster and has higher spin potential than the soft. While at the same time it is easier to access spin on the soft, thats why it is so popular on the backhand.

    • @blueheart9873
      @blueheart9873 Před rokem

      @@C0BEX I agree. People who claim Rakza 7 is not that spinny are doing something wrong. It is way spinnier than MX-P first of all, and softer sponges give more dwell time to make it easier to produce spin but harder sponges produces more as you hit harder (it has a higher "spin ceiling")

I made a mistake of trying to handle hurricane 3 for a few months on the forehand and now I am back to using yasaka rigan on both sides to try and develop my forehand properly. I think Stiga mantra M would be a good alternative for me on the forehand as well as a slow step in the right direction, but Stiga stopped making these I think, which is sad because there arent really that many rubbers in this middle range between soft and hard.
