AGREED. However😒.. "brevity is the soul of wit" i.e. lil goes LONG way. LOOK.. ultimately Mike will do what when, where he wants..(not necessarily in that order) so as a fan hard keepin up with Faith, Bungle, Orchestra to whatever THIS is supposed to be. Always felt had he turned down his "WTF Amp" from 11 to a 4 his creativity woulda been more palatable and even FLOURISHED further than what it has.
Also Mike is one big sh*t talker of other bands, dudes like Corey from Slipknot ALWAYS mockin singers/bands who've actually been kind to them. Axl Rose for example was a fan of FaithNoMore an took em on tour with Guns in the 90s.. in gratitude Patton mocked Axl on stage some nights.. that kinda mentality still persists in Mike.
NOT playin Armchair Amateur Therapist..but i once commented to a friend after watchin a Mike interview how i ? what's goin on within that Cerebellum of Patton... something about his behavior that seemed indicative of neurological chemical imbalance/misfiring. I didn't know if Mike was a psychedelic drug user or had been so speculated maybe it's delayed residual damage grom a "Bad Trip" YEARS ago...i dunno.
      REGARDLESS...who gives a sh*t.. I gotta stop drinkin commenting on YT.. wtf..😵‍💫

@@1badjesus "his creativity would... be more palatable" -- but see, that's the thing about Mike Patton -- he doesn't care if you or even most people like what he does. It's not about being palatable, popular, or even profitable - it's about him being true to his own creative urges.

Oh my darling Michael…My Musical schizophrenic I will forever adore. I’ve followed you since Bungle…and here we are! You are my muse! Because of you I give 0 fuchs what others say about my vocal range. Vocal coaches don’t have a complete understanding of my range. I’m a female basso ptofundo who can hit all bass and baritone, alto, some soprano and for whatever reason have NO tenor. 🤷‍♀️ I’m also a death metal screamer, growler, throat singer, and thought I was destined to forever sing songs about pirate ships. But NO. I decided to learn every one of Mikes voices, tambers, and various weird sounds in general. I find myself walking past an air conditioner and thinking 🤔 wonder if I can make that sound? Then I perfect it. You know, just in case there’s ever the need for somebody to make air conditioner and bird sounds on the fly. I now own that skill set. 😂 I’m a damn shit show & I love it. I can’t speak for Mike, but I envision his brain saying, “Hey, I have this really cool idea. I don’t care what anyone thinks about it. I’m going to do it anyway & it’s going to be fantastic!” And it is!!

One of the first recordings I ever downloaded from the internet. Was mp2, because mp3 wasn't around back then. Always hoped to find it in better audio quality. Now I finally found it by accident. 😀👍

Apparently it's a vocal inflection typically used for grieving in Ireland. At least to my understanding. Pretty interesting stuff with the context of the song.

Somebody needs to call out Mike Patton. His live performances are utterly pathetic. His voice breaks too many times. He has no real range, he just pretends to have range. His high pitch is a joke. The guy phones it in most of the time.
