Thanks a lot!!! Very good explanation!!!
No problem, Antonio! I hope it helps
Nice demonstration of the different vibratos. My question is there a particular vibrato used on specific types of music?
Generally, yes, but with newer compositions and varying interpretations, then are starting to crossover more. In classical music, it's been traditionally jaw vibrato, in jazz & commercial styles, it's often slide vibrato as well as some jaw/intensity vibrato (especially with older styles)
nice, how can i practice the jaw vibrato and how do i know im practicing ok?
Hey Renato, I may make a follow-up video on this in the near future, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, use your ear and a mirror and trial & error until you get the desired speed, width, and consistency. I would use recording or videos of trombonists using vibrato that you like as a starting reference point. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
