I can’t wait to start modifying mine but got to be extra careful here in Australia jeee as any modifications must be engineered and can get expensive best looking car over 10 years old around and just the over all round best tuning car for the money

Thanks for checking it out. We actually did another recent video for this car again since it's got more mods now. Lol check it out! N55 was a pretty good motor. As with many BMWs you need to keep an eye on rod bearings. Dct is pretty solid. Regular maintenance is key. Definitely recommend a Transmission tune to help prevent clutch slipping.

Also after bolt ons and a remap how well does the dct cope
Stage 2 with 480 ft/Lb No issues with the DCT the past 8000 miles
Dct starts slipping at 550 whp you can tune it hold about 7 before needing an upgrade build

I want to get the 2011 135i n55 dct and I want to get to around 500 hp but do you know if that is a good hp number for the n55?
Will need bigger turbo and fueling upgrades. The newer B58 cars are a much better starting point 👉

How reliable is a N55 I’m thinking about getting a 135i and want to build it up to anywhere around 500-600hp but worried about reliability
that's a great question. we are planning on doing more content with this car soon!
Pretty darn reliable, don’t push more than that without some upgraded intervals though lol
