It's strange. Sometimes you hear a cover that's great, but it misses those little flourishes that make it special. The fact he added that in really made the cover.

Just replayed FF6 about a month ago. I'd forgotten about Relm's theme before, but it all came flooding back along with the nostalgia when I heard it again. This feels like that. Feels good man.

@@PrimoHidrux CZcams renditions of 'Dancing Mad' and 'Terra's Theme' (other FF6 tracks as well, but mainly those) made up my mind to finally check it out and play through it for the first time. And I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Now I can't hear 'Kids Running Through the City' or 'Coin Song' without getting ridiculously emotional, 'like-a-little-girl' emotional.
It's a sorrowful piece of trivia for sure, but I believe sorrow can and has been a place where amazing artists like Uematsu have found a very special brand of beauty: true, everlasting and deeply moving. Thanks for the reply ✨

I like the slight pan on the video gives it a dynamic feel, great playing as per usual.

Incredible. I wanted to arrange this when I was working on my Final Fantasy VI Guitar Collections album several months ago, but ended up cutting Relm because I felt like I had to sacrifice too much to make it work for solo guitar. But you nailed it, giving each little riff its own moment to shine. Gonna have to listen again a few more times...
