    Thank you so much. I was looking for a direct comparison between these two in scoping out kits for my 7 yr old (who is very much into drums by virtue of "drum club" at his school), and this covers so many of my questions.
    I'm an experienced (amateur) musician but not a drummer: I don't think in a blind test I would have been able to judge the sound quality per se of Nitro as obviously superior to Turbo, though again this might be because I'm not a drummer and perhaps also because of computer speakers. Nonetheless, even without that consideration I think you make a compelling case for the Nitro if budget is within reach.

    Fantástica comparación, son los dos kits recomendados para niños que empiezan, además son compactos y se pueden usar en una habitación pequeña. Creo que vale la pena la Nitro por las mejoras que supone y por ser, a priori, un dispositivo más duradero.

      @@RhythmRoomMusicSchool so I ended up with NUX DM-210. Now I'd probably buy the new Alesis MAX, but we didn't have it in my country at the moment (and now we have, but no regrets). The kit has all mesh pads, real kick pedal and Bluetooth support (yes they have a lot in common with the Alesis MAX). The only thing that I don't like is that you can't save your own preset, but for most of the songs I play the default ones suit just fine.

    I bought the the turbo kit. The base drum pedal has failed on me twice. Replacement failed after a few months as well. Both times due to double triggering. This is a known issue...google it. I'm now looking at ideas for a kick pad. One idea I have seen is to sacrifice one of the toms as a bass and buy a beater for that. Anyway, if you buy the turbo, your pedal is probably going to fail on you and you will be going down this road.

    The problem i have is that i found a dirt cheap "turbo mesh" and i was tinking maybe i could buy it and upgrade the module and the kick in the future.
    I plan to put the E- kit trough a drum vst so the default sounds are not a problem.
    i need help to decide it is worth the trouble.

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před rokem +3

      Hi Robert, it’s not too difficult, you loosen the mounts and can then rotate the pads downwards, you then fold in the frame and it’s good to go. You can plug an amp in as both kits have an instrument cable (1/4” jack) output. Hope that helps! Kev

    Can tthe Nitro be used for Live Performances? Trying to see which is better to either (1.) get an electric drum or (2.) a glass drum enclosure for our current regular acoustic drums. The noise from the drum really messes up the overall sound in the hall.

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před rokem +1

      Hi Joshua, if you already have an acoustic drum kit I would definitely recommend the drum enclosure instead. The sounds on the Nitro just aren't good enough for live performance.

    Damn I've already ordered the turbo and was hoping to play some fast punk but it seems like the pedal will let us down 😂 I'm an absolute beginner anyway so I don't mind too much.
    Do you think you can keep fit just jamming on an electric drum kit?

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Hi, thanks for the comment, if you've just started the kit will be fine for a while. Fast punk beats may be a bit tricky though 😁
      Learning to play the drums is great for personal fitness, depending on how often, and how vigorously you play. It's great for cardiovascular health and can be a way to develop strength and speed. Happy drumming!

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi, thanks for the comment. I think the cable that plugs in to the tower isn't designed to be used with a pedal that doesn't have a tower, so I don't think it triggers correctly.

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před rokem

      Hi, thanks for the comment, because of the bass drum pedal situation, I would go for the Behringer over the Turbo Mesh, however, are you sure you mean the Turbo Mesh and not the Nitro? Behringer and Nitro seems to be the same money, Turbo is about £100 less. If it's between the Nitro and the Behringer, go Nitro as it's got the mesh heads.

    Bulls***! I'm 6'2" and the Alesis Nitro Mesh is NOT comfortable with the default height. I need to set the legs on some DIY noise-reduction risers to raise it up to a comfortable playing height. (and it still doesn't quite feel high enough...)

    • @RhythmRoomMusicSchool
      @RhythmRoomMusicSchool  Před rokem +18

      Hi Damien, thanks for your comment (I think). I can confirm that it is not "bulls***", I am 6'2" and have been teaching on these kits for years, I have not had a problem getting these into a comfortable playing position. I am unsure about what you mean about "default height" as these kits are, by design, completely customisable as to their height. There are a number of things to consider, how high have you set your stool? Have you set the frame and the pad heights to their maximum? Are your expectations of how high the pads should be correct? I remember from your previous comment that you are new to the drums so just wanted to confirm this.
      You left a similarly worded comment on another video we did about setting up the Nitro Mesh Kit (I deleted that one), I think you have very valid questions about this kit and how to set it up, however I would suggest you could be more polite with your wording, I'm more than happy to advise and I just want to help people, which is why we've decided to start making these videos.
      I took your previous comment on board and have created a new video, specifically to meet your request as you raised some good points about needing help getting it into a good position, unfortunately I had to delete the comment as it contained some unnecessary and derogatory comments regarding the "bad cable management" that I explained in the video (and mentioned the cable ties too) and I'm sure you'll be pleased to note, I corrected this in the latest video.
      If you continue to have an issue getting the Nitro Mesh Kit into a comfortable position for you, I would recommend seeking a refund and trying one of the many other electric drum kits that are available, rather than leaving negative comments on a CZcams channel with less than 600 subscribers. Please remember when commenting that there are people on the other side, and in this case a small business just trying to help.
      All the best
