1 year ago I saw this interview and made the decision to sell my gym, my businesses along with my car and possessions to leave Aus for Peru to sit with Don Howard Lawler for 8 days of intense, Excrutiatingly painful Aya ceremonies and all I can say is, life has never been the same. I now live my dream life in Utah preparing for many adventures ahead. Life isn't happening to me anymore. It's happening FOR me. Tim, Aubrey, I want to thank you men.
Ecstatic dance has changed my life not only for the movement but for the community. So many powerful emotions have come up when dancing w partners esp contact improv, I’ve been lead to tears and cried like a baby on a strangers shoulder, in that nonverbal space its so transformative!
I dealt with mental games from both parents during their divorce. They were constantly trying to pin us against the other. Threatening us that we owed them our love no matter what. I ended up having debilitating social anxiety because of lack of trust. I never felt good enough about myself and my worth to even be around people. I’m still learning to let my guard down, but I can now get past the instant reaction of *look down, don’t say anything* and actually smile at strangers and introduce myself. Thank you for sharing your story Aubrey.
Very insightful interview. Loving the new format Tim! After listening to Aubrey on JRE, I decided to fly to Peru and drink Ayahuasca 3 years ago. I ended up creating my CZcams channel shortly after, which has created many opportunities and growth for myself. So thank you Aubrey :p haha
Same for me brother. Heard him on this interview last year and took off to Iquitos from Australia to sit with Mother Aya. Life has never been the same.
i see people dont have to hold their mics anymore, nice 😃seriously though, having conversations like this available is such a blessing. i cant thank you enough for making this happen, tim! i hope some day i have made it big enough to be on your show 🔥
I got into some of Gabrielle Roth's work more than a decade ago...dancing is a wonderful way to connect mind, spirit, and body. I also love snowboarding on a microdose. Thanks for the musical suggestions! Great stuff. I was just talking to a couple young female friends of mine about how encouraging some of the masculinity work I see out here is. I appreciate you both as humans and as men.
Movement without judgment of self and of others is the basis of ecstatic dance. Follow where the journey takes you, feel the movement, feel the emotions, everyone's journey is unique.
This is one of my favorite podcast I've ever listened to. I rewatch it once every couple of months and it just bring me joy and peace! Love both Tim Ferris and Aubrey Marcus! :)
Its been over a year since writing this comment, I wish out of all the content I have consumed, that i could stick with it and be true to my inner desires
Loving the video podcast recordings so much! Always wondered why you didn't do video when you had the in person interviews. Aubrey always impressive, two thumbs up.
Tim, You’re louder than your guest. My volume button, fingers, ears, and brain worked hard! I’m surprised by how much I liked the content of this video. Thank you! Please take a look at Jeff Mertle Beach’s comments, too. He has a few helpful suggestions.
I almost dind´t watchi this episode, just cuz I didn´t like his face expression... so glad I did, it is surprising how deep this guys´ thought process is...
Amazing insight! Love these video podcasts Tim... they really give you a better idea of the personality of who you're interviewing. Aubrey seems like an awesome dude! Thanks!
First time watching Tim Ferriss be the interviewer. Just subscribed. Great watch. Marcus is a very knowledgeable man and great book recommendations 💪 Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Tim!
This is great, I really like the video format. Great interview with Aubrey, his level of self awareness is impressive, especially realizing that his recent issue with trusting men had stemmed from issues with his father. Most people will go our while lives without being able to even realize our daddy issues, let alone resolve them.
Thank you for this interview. Blows me away and very timely. You are both awesome interviewers. Your information on the emotions and dealing with them are inspiring and informing.
This dude lives a life I'd like to live too. Specifically open relationships, making many stupid horrible mistakes. That's what lies in front of me, which kind of scares me, but I know I want those experiences.
Wow, what a man! Aubrey Marcus. Highly inspirational! And wow to you too Mr. Ferris. Excellent format! Could you pls share the 3 books that Mr. Marcus read? Thanks. And love the narrative of the ecstatic dancing. List of all the musics pls. Thanks in advance.
Brilliant and insightful video! Thanks for the ecstatic dance outline....I just went to a class a month ago - so much fun! Personally, Breathwork works wonders for me in terms of transformation! : )
Interesting! I felt many parallels with Aubrey, but after he mentioned Sex at Dawn and the realizations he had, now I am straining to have a conversation with him. Maybe he can market my first product for equity

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Tim!
So thankful I stumbled upon this right now.
The "right now" is superfluous (not necessary). You're also mixing past tense (so thankful I stumbled upon this) and present tense (right now).
AWEsome! thank you both!
This is great, I really like the video format. Great interview with Aubrey, his level of self awareness is impressive, especially realizing that his recent issue with trusting men had stemmed from issues with his father. Awesome interviewer Tim Ferris! You somehow seem to capture the questions everyone is having as the interview goes. Keep up the great stuff!
Keep the videos going. It's a small adjustment with a large return.
I paused the video to buy truffles and take a micro-dose and continue watching, thanks.

The amount of expressed hatred towards a guy trying to promote or just merely express his own vulnerability.
Lmao. I love youtube comments
