JP astonishes us with his deep and complex genius. 'It took me 30 years to figure this out. If you have a goal and a path from a clinical perspective, you aim towards something valuable, and you feel good as you get close to the goal. To have a high goal. As you move to the goal you have to get better at things to pursue a goal, from clinical data; you confront the thing you are avoiding, then break it into pieces that you can take on one at a time, something new is information and developing a skill, and there is biological basis for programming new genes, and build new structures like muscles, there is a lot of potential in your genetic code.... [So it took JP 30 years to figure out that if you set a goal and a vision and you try new things you will learn new things? Holy crap. I figured that out in 10 minutes.]

At 50 years old I know there's a lot of things I don't know. You've got to be prepared to embrace ideas that will enhance your being and those around you.
My advice, at 50 is to follow your passion. Do work that doesn't feel like work, because you will work so much harder.
And work for yourself. Earn the fruits of your labour, not so that someone else takes it - then gives you a tiny fraction back.
As a family, humans are amazing. Complex, fragile, cruel, versatile and awe inspiring.
We all need to help each other.

I don’t want to be a lost cause but as someone who has been told that advice repeatedly I haven’t really gotten anywhere with it. Maybe I’ll just have to keep going or maybe there is something else that clicks.

I now have my get, my own place to live, and a good job. These men all really did help to change my life. I changed it, but the guidance helped more than anyone will ever know. My deepest wish is to have a conversation with one of these me some day. I'd love to speak about some opposing ideas and see how that goes . Any way thank you for everything!

Dang. I did it it again. I started watching Rogan and Peterson at 11:00 pm, thinking I'd just enjoy it for a half hour and then go to sleep. Now it's pushing 1:00 am, and I'm too damned interested to stop. Why does Rogan have to be such an amazing interviewer, and why does Peterson have to be so damn compelling?

@@AutotuneSucksBalls you perhaps give her the vibe that you're so needy she feels the need to wake you up to tell you what she's doing then, that's your issue not hers.

I’m very confused as to why anyone would attack or dislike Jordan Peterson. He is very rational, informative, and respectful when discussing topics. How are people getting offended over him discussing scientific facts between men and women.... We ARE different and there’s nothing wrong with that. Admitting we are different doesn’t mean one sex is better or more superior than the other. We each bring unique assets to the table which is WHY it’s good that we’re different...

well spoken. we are as different as we are the same. we can't chance biology by changing our attitude. we all just have to work together to make civilization work. we compliment each other. Jordan is in some way my hero, not because i agree with him on many subjects, but because he is rational and clear in what he says. he's just really likeable. he's a genius in rational thought and speech

He’s full of shit, point blank. He says so much while truly saying so little. Ive watched so many videos of his and have yet to note any breakthrough opinion. Oh disagreeable people are more likely to go to jail? No shit. Please read his magnum opus Maps of Meaning. Its the most pretentious thing ive ever read. It works better as a satire than an actual book on...idk what hes going for this book tbh. But please, you be the judge and site any pages where he actually says something of substance. If you dont want to read than look at the diagrams in the book. Theyre hilariously nonsensical. Charlatans like him prey on the weak, thats why his audience has such a type.
