    I just picked this puppy up. It's a beast. You'd swear it came with a Hemi. Did my first smoke last night. Beer can chicken. So easy to operate and the temp and smoke remain consistent throughout the cook. My wife and I loved the bird. It was honestly the best chicken we're ever eaten. Melts in your mouth., like butter. This smoker is pricey, but if you spring for it, it's the last smoker you'll ever own. Smoking and searing ribeyes tonight. Life is good.

    Awesome grill. That being said, I feel like Traeger does a poor job of advertising the stuff that bbq people really care about. Stainless steel drip pans, more sensors to decrease chance of flare up, better convection are all awesome. Why aren’t these a part of their advertising campaign? Sheesh if I would’ve known about these earlier I might have purchased a Timberline XL instead of a Yoder YS640s. Also surprised they didn’t try to make it open firepot sear capable. I mean… webers 1000 dollar pellet grill can do it… why not Traegers $3500 “grill”?

    Do the original meater probes work on this grill? Or is it only the newer branded ones?

    Who makes the induction burner? Did he say “Volwrap”?

    All for the small price of a used car. Even tho it’s a few years old the price remains the same.

    Is there a cold smoke option?

    • @moorelumberhardware
      @moorelumberhardware  Před 2 lety

      You can set the temp low enough to do a cold smoke. Here’s a great recipe -> www.traeger.com/recipes/cold-smoked-cheese

    As much as this cost there shouldn't be any assessories. It should already come with everything included.

    I have a new Timberline XL less than two months and I having all types of trouble with the fire sensor, then the mother board and the sad thing about the situation NOBODY at Traeger seem to care. I have to wait on a area tech guy to come out base on his schedule it taken several days before anyone to come out to fix the problem. I paid too much money for this grill to be having major issues so soon. are anoybody else out there having issues with this grill for what I heard not too many people know much about this grill yet so SAD Traeger

    Is it made in china like the rest of their products?

    • @moorelumberhardware
      @moorelumberhardware  Před 2 lety

      Yes, Traeger is continuing to make all their products with exception to pellets, rubs, and sauces, overseas.

    The inflation gouging went too far with this, $1800 yes, almost $4K is silly give what it costs to make. Will wait on China to make and price something comparably featured.

    Is the igniter ceramic? Also does this new design keep ash from getting to the food?

    • @moorelumberhardware
      @moorelumberhardware  Před 2 lety

      Yes it is an ceramic igniter. The full redesign minimizes opportunity for ash to travel up to the grill grates.

    yes, its has some cool features but it doesn't have 4000 dollars worth and come on - you can get a Recteq RT2500 that has way way more room, better controller, heavy duty SS inside and out and only cost you 2799.00 with free shipping............why would you spend 4000 on a tin can with cool features...........doesn't add up.........and to put salt in the wound - it doesn't even come with the accessories you're talking about, so that's over 4000 dollars if you purchase the accessories

    Definitely next level, but sometimes the simplest thing is overlooked. Did they think about grill storage hangers? For that $ I hope you don't get nickel and dimed for things like a cover

      The new pop and lock system allows for tons of great customization. Hooks, spice racks, paper towel holders, shelves. Lots of options.

      It is an investment like any of their other products. Traeger's innovations on this particular grill warrant the price. If you are budget conscience there are a lot of other great Traeger models to chose from.
